Kui Shin Bo sushi bar in San Francisco is a decent choice for sushi lovers. The restaurant has a clean and simple atmosphere that is pleasant enough, but nothing particularly stands out in terms of decor or ambiance.

The sushi itself is well-prepared, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The sashimi platter is a standout dish, with beautifully presented slices of fish that are melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sushi rolls are also solid, but not particularly innovative or exciting.

The service is friendly and attentive, but not exceptional. The staff is helpful in answering any questions you may have about the menu, but they don't go out of their way to make the dining experience memorable.

The prices at Kui Shin Bo are reasonable for the quality of the food, but may be a bit on the higher side for some diners. Overall, while there's nothing particularly exceptional about Kui Shin Bo, it's a decent choice for a solid sushi meal in San Francisco.

When trying to eat here, consider that there might be a long wait depending on when you go. The place is small, so it's hard to fit a party more than 5 people. However, this restaurant is located in Japantown, so there's plenty to do and stores to go around. They have a yelp waitlist, so it's easy to track where you are in the list.

The service was great once we were seated, our food came fast so I felt like I wasn't waiting too long. The portions were good, but I wish the additional roll that was given could've been a speciality roll because I don't really like "California rolls". My dad got the unagi plate and that looked delicious, so I need to go back and try their popular dishes to gauge out the place better.

KSB is a good staple in japantown for reliable, good rolls.

Their real spider roll is forREALs the best. So delicious. The fried crab is juicy, sweet and a delight. I love the eel and spicy mayo sauces that go on top.

This location has a $16 dinner bento special where you can choose two items and get a small rice, salad and soup. My favorite items to get are the Saba fish (+$2) and the chicken teriyaki

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was pretty short! Our food came out pretty quick as well. We ordered a Unagi Don and a Combo Okonomiyaki (which came with seafood and chicken). The Unagi Don was quite worth it! It was perfectly grilled and it came with soup and salad. The Combo Okonomiyaki was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of sauce. However, I wish it had more seafood or chicken in it to balance out the sauciness. Compared to other ones I've tried, this okonomiyaki was very fried along the edges and was very hot. This made it way more oily and heavy to eat.

The restaurant itself is quite small and dim. I like the coziness of it but it can definitely use some lights. The workers there were very nice though. Overall, I don't think there's much that makes this restaurant stand out. Nevertheless, if you want some nice simple Japanese meal, you should stop by!

Still loving this spot, in the less popular side of the Japantown mall. Get away from the crowds, usually a minimal wait time, enjoy a relaxing ambiance, prompt service, and have some yummy Japanese food here! My wife's favorite is the nabeyaki udon and mine is the vegetable soba. The soup broths are simple, not too salty, hit the spot for us. Today we tried the chicken katsu and it was quite good as well.

Ordered delivery and didn't love it, but maybe would have liked the rolls, udon, or ramen?

For the chirashi bowl, the fish was cut haphazardly and was fishy, the rice was a little too sweet, and the octopus was very chewy.

Chicken teriyaki had very small pieces of diced chicken with sauce and then the sides are just kind of there.

Bonus points for how they packaged the two and stabilized the trays with a flattened Sapporo container.

Came here for a family dinner, we got a bunch of different dishes. We got ramen, 2 bento boxes, and several different kinds of sushi rolls. My favorite is definitely their rainbow sushi! Tasted good and love the presentation!

Nested inside east mall in Japantown SF. This is a cute little restaurant which has a ton of Japanese dishes. I got take out but I will come back and dine here.

I ordered vegetable Okonomiyaki & Soba noodle - Yesai. Both were fantastic. The okonomiyaki is one of those incredible things which despite sounding like a pancake actually is a complex dish various vegetables squash, zucchini, carrots - all cooked to it's perfect state. It has a variety of textures and the temperature and flavor is "just right". Mind blowing.

Came here specifically for sushi and put our names down on the Yelp waitlist in person. It said the wait would be 1-11 minutes, but I think we waited around 5-10 minutes. It's a pretty small and casual joint, more like a spot for a quick bite or hanging out with friends rather than a fancy date spot. We did like the vibe with the lantern lighting and fish artwork though.

Beef Kushiyaki: Had a good amount of sauce and flavor, texture was decent, and there was a decent portion of meat.

Volcano Roll: Loaded with imitation crab and sauce, felt like the typical American sushi experience where everything blends together.

Super Dynamite Roll: Each piece had its own taste, not as saucy, but I preferred it with a bit of soy sauce and wasabi.

Service was pretty standard and fairly minimal. Overall, it's a decent spot to grab some standard American sushi rolls or explore their extensive menu.

Got the Nabeyaki udon (U7)! This restaurant has a large menu of ramen, sushi, udon, donburi, chefs specials, and more! Even sushi burritos

Portion was large! Came with udon noodles, tempura, chicken, fish cake, egg, vegetables, and more served in a nice iron pot

I'd like to come back to try more dishes~

Kui Shin Bo gets very crowded very quickly. Make reservations or list your party on the Yelp or at the kiosk in front of the restaurant. Their menu is extensive! The reason we chose this restaurant was due to our international friends wanting several different Japanese types of food. One friend chose the bento box (beef teriyaki, vegetable tempura), another chose sushi and another had udon.

I had the beef teriyaki/pork tonkatsu bento box that came with salad, rice, miso soup. It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. My hubby had the Wakame Soba and he really enjoyed it. We also shared chicken wings with our friend's 9 year old. He loved it.

The service was very prompt and cordial. Seeing that we had listed/RSVP, we were seated immediately. After reviewing the huge menu, we all quickly decided on our orders as we all were very famished. The food came out quickly to everyone's delight.

The atmosphere is family oriented and fast moving. The restaurant is clean, organized and orderly. With such an extensive menu, there is something for everyone.
