My fiance and I chose to work with La Bijouterie on a custom engagement ring after our first meeting with Set. He was very informative and transparent from the get-go and after seeing some of the beautiful rings he and the team had created, I knew they were the right for the job! 

We went through a few iterations in the design process and Set and team were accommodating to the adjustments requested ... I had very specific design elements in mind and was grateful that La Bijouterie could make them happen. Once we approved a design, the turnaround time for the ring very quick. The ring came out even more beautiful than I'd imagined and I only have La Bijouterie to thank!

Updating my review since I did come back for my wedding band --- and an unexpected addition, the earrings for my wedding.

Set, your craftsmanship along with your intuition, and your knowledge by far exceeds anyone in the jewelry game. When I mentioned in my earlier post that I will forever come back - I was serious. I found my forever jewelry store.

I went in with the expectation of picking a band off of the case that I was satisfied with, and I ended up getting one custom made that fit to a Tee with My engagement ring. The engagement ring along with the band looks fabulous! My photos and videos don't do justice!

Primarily, I was extremely impressed with the updates from you and just keeping us in the loop when we were getting closer to the date. Your ability to problem solve anything that came up was extraordinary, and much appreciated.

My fiancée and I worked with Set at La Bijouterie to design a completely custom engagement ring, and we couldn't be happier with the process and the results. My fiancée was in tears the first time she saw the ring, she couldn't believe how perfect it was. We chose them because of good reviews and the amount of experience La Bijouterie has in the diamond/jewelry business. The price was reasonable, and he was responsive and transparent throughout the process. The craftsmanship and quality are evident, and we get so many unprompted compliments about the ring, including from other jewelers! We will certainly be working with La Bijouterie for our wedding bands and any other custom jewelry we might be interested in. From start to finish, we were well-taken care of.

We had no previous experience with diamonds, gemstones, or jewelry design but Set made the process so enjoyable and stress-free. We ended up deciding on a green sapphire and Set hunted down multiple stones over the weeks to make sure we had a selection to choose from. Even after we chose one, he contacted us a week later telling us that he had just found one that we might like better. He generated computer models of each of our requests so we could see what it would look like in the end. He was always able to capture exactly what we were asking for, which was super helpful because sometimes we didn't realize that what we were asking for wasn't what we actually wanted! Can't recommend La Bijouterie enough!

Set has earned this 5 star review and then some. My partner and I went through an extensive process to find the right jeweler to make my engagement ring, which I had a very specific vision for. Set had the best prices by far, and we appreciated his straightforward manner.

We started by picking out a stone from several options that met the specs we were looking for, then moved into a few rounds of renderings to get the design exactly right. When the first version of the ring wasn't quite what I expected, Set worked with us to figure out what modifications I wanted and have the ring remade. The second version turned out absolutely perfectly.

We went in not knowing much and came out experts. Set is honest, reliable, designs incredible jewelry, responsive and an absolute pleasure to work with.

All our diamonds were GIA certified and at a very fair price and he helped find us the highest quality diamond diamonds for our engagement ring in our budget.

Could not recommend La Bijouterie more! If you are in the SF area and looking for an engagement ring, wedding band, anniversary gift or any jewelry, La Bijouterie and working with Set is a must!

Set was great. He's a steady hand and helped guide me through the process of picking the diamond as well as building the setting. Everything went incredibly smoothly and my Fiancée loved the ring. Can't recommend enough!

THE WORST ENGAGEMENT RING SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Please save some time and do not go to La Bijouterie. Set, the owner, is by far the most unwelcoming, condescending, and demeaning person I have ever met. Within 10 minutes of being in the shop with a proper appointment, I was so offended and uncomfortable that I had to leave.

Set doesn't bother to greet you or show any interest in helping you find the right ring. Instead, he treats you like you're inconveniencing him by being there. His demeanor was so off-putting that I just left by thanking him for his time but telling him that I really don't feel welcomed there.

To make matters worse, he calls my cell phone to say he was surprised to see me take off. He doesn't apologize or try to understand from my perspective. He goes on about how I am the one misunderstanding him.

When I looked up reviews later, I discovered I wasn't alone. Countless others have experienced the same rude treatment from Set. Yet, he remains oblivious, making excuses by replying to them that he was "surprised" and "misunderstood" and refuses to acknowledge his behavior. This review should be no surprise to him because he knows what he did and he will probably comment on this too.

Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere for your ring. No girl or guy's ring fitting experience should be ruined like this and let alone no one should be treated like this. There are plenty of other jewelers in San Francisco who are kind and actually value their customers. La Bijouterie is not one of them.

If you need recommendations, Yadav and other jewelers in the 888 Brannan St (SF's diamond district) were thoughtful and I had a pleasant experience.

Set was amazing to work with. My fiancé designed my engagement ring with Set and it came out beautifully and unique, just for me. My fiancé gave Set some of my existing jewelry to come up with a wave design together.

When it came to our wedding bands, Set was really easy to communicate with and gave us great suggestions and options to choose from. We always get a lot of compliments when we are out. The quality and sparkle is unbeatable. Overall, we are so happy and Set has been so welcoming whenever we are in the city.

My fiancee and I truly had a whirlwind romance, so when the time came to propose, I didn't just want any old ring on a store counter like everybody else has. I wanted her to have something as special and unique and beautiful as she is, not something that was mass produced. My fiancee loves her ring, and so do I. The process couldn't have been easier, even when my ring had to be delivered to me cross-country! La Bijouterie definitely focuses on customizing everything exactly how the customer wants it... it really is rare to get that kind of service. I couldn't be more satisfied.
