Firstly, I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your move. I understand your frustration with the move taking longer than anticipated. Allow me to explain some of the factors that contributed to the duration:

Elevators: Since there were elevators at both locations, our movers had to load and unload your belongings twice, sharing the elevator with other tenants at the destination. This inevitably added to the time taken.

Walking Distance: The walking distance at the pickup address was quite long, which also impacted the overall duration of the move.

Additional Items: While it was a 1-bedroom move, there was an additional small room with a few items, which added to the volume of work.

Distance: The actual distance between the addresses is 8 miles, not 5 miles as initially thought. Our movers arrived on time and waited for you, which is included in the service time.

Finally, before the move, I provided you with the following quote:

Estimated Costs:

Loading: 1-2 hours
Driving: 0.5-0.75 hour (with the double driving time fee)
Unloading: 1.5-2.5 hours
Estimated Total Cost: $407-$652 (cash)
Not Exceeding Amount: $760 (cash)
The final price did not exceed the provided quote. Your belongings were handled with care, and our movers worked diligently without taking breaks, although they are entitled to short breaks.

Regarding the concern with the dresser, we use moving rubber bands instead of tape to secure furniture items. Tapes are primarily used for handles on mattresses and small items. After the move was completed, Alec asked you to double-check everything, and you confirmed that everything was good.
