What kind of parking is available? Worried about windows being smashed

      A:

There is plenty of street parking on 27th street. As this is Oaklamd, there is always that risk of someone ruining your night out.

By far, one of my favorite locations in the East Bay.

The ambience is amazing as well very clean and well kept restaurant.

Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic here, the staff is extremely friendly .

Parking can be a bit tricky but if you get there early enough to meet up with friends, there should be plenty of parking.

Limón is one of my family's regular spots for weeknight celebration/occasion dinners. We've loved coming in the summer and sitting outside.

Servers are so warm and helpful, and the service is quick, especially considering the dinner rush. Also so convenient that they take reservations.

The food is SO good, so flavorful and so tasty. The sauces are fantastic, and we love trying new sides. The meat boards with sides are a great way to share and try foods in a group. Our favorites are the steak and rotisserie chicken, chifa vegetables and yucca fries.

Can't wait for the next time we go back!

I had known about Limón since forever and remember the days when it was a hot new restaurant in the Mission. Accordingly, I jumped at the chance to visit the Oakland location while on my way from Adams Point back to Berkeley.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were impressed by the ambience, the service and the food. Two of us shared a half chicken and ordered no drinks. Our sides were the side salad and the veggies of the day (+$2), which were green beans. Each of the three components was tasty and well prepared. Our bill (including tax and a good tip) was a bit over $33. The total cost for the visit was roughly $36 if you include the price of metered street parking.

Dinner some day might be our next move. Making a run for takeout would save us on parking and allow us to complement Limón's food with our own wine and beer.

We came here for my brother's birthday lunch. I was craving paella and my brother wanted Peruvian.

We found street parking pretty easily outside and walked right in. They weren't really busy for a Saturday lunch time.

We let my brother do the ordering. We asked the staff how manh dishes would be good for a party of 3 and went with the recommended two entrees and an appetizer. We had the polli-papas as an appetizer. Pretty delicious, good fries and nice flavors.

For our entrees, we got the saltado de pollo and the seafood paella!

We wound up not really eating the rice as we were getting pretty full but the saltado de pollo was delicious!

Finally, what I was waiting for was the paella. It didn't have that crispiness that Spanish paella does but it was still pretty good. They even provided a plate for shells. Very flavorful.

Would definitely return and try other things on the menu!

We came here on a Saturday night and had no trouble getting a table for two. It was pretty casual, and everyone we encountered was very friendly. I loved the ceviche our server recommended, and the drinks were great, too!

Great food and cocktails. Only downfall is parking can be challenging and sketchy. Hide all your belongings when parking.
Service is good and ambience is chill.

I used to eat at Limón in SF all the time, at both the Mission location and the food truck. I loved eating there and the food was always great.

I've eaten at this Oakland location a couple times now and I'm not so impressed with the food. Especially given the price.

We had oysters, which were amazing and fresh. No complaints there. We also had the sampler ceviche. The fish was fresh and the flavors were fine. Nothing blew me away, but it was still good. We've also had the Arroz Con Mariscos, and all the seafood was fresh. That one was my favorite. We also had the Coliflor Picante, which had a nice crisp to it, but nothing spectacular. Then we ordered the Lomo Saltado. The rice was undercooked, and the beef overcooked. I couldn't really eat the rice, and the beef was hard to cut with a knife and chew. Apart from that dish, I enjoyed the food, just not sure it's worth the prices.

The service is great, they're very attentive and helpful. The ambience is also nice, with indoor and outdoor seating options. You can see the fire pit from the dining area, which is awesome.

A friend brought me here for my birthday. Thursday night and it was fairly busy. Though busy, it wasn't super loud, the lighting is beautiful with so many windows.

My friends drink, but I don't. So they ordered drinks, and we ordered our dinner. It arrived pretty quick.

Not pictured was the truffle Mac n cheese. Fantastic.

But that lomo saltado. I wish I could go back right now. I would drink that gravy. And it makes my Filipino heart so happy that it's served with rice lol

      A+ meal with great service.

      Lomo saltado,

Can't miss with their ceviche!! It's always really delicious. The ambience can be quite noisy because they play loud music and the acoustics aren't good. It's hard to have conversation so we tend to just try to eat quickly and take off. The food is pricey but delicious. Service is excellent and staff are always kind and thoughtful. The restaurant is always full and busy so that speaks to the food.
