Oh my god where do I begin. This was my first time at Lita and it exceeded my expectations. Everything was amazing from the food to the service and the ambiance. I love Caribbean food and was a little skeptical at first but baby when I tell you they do not disappoint. My server was Ashley, she was warm welcoming and greeted us with a smile and gave good energy. I had the salmon and they did not disappoint it was bursting with flavor. I would have posted pictures but I cleaned that plate. I truly had an amazing experience and I will be back and bring a friend or 10

Love the vibe in this place, very hip, modern and warm. Service is good given that we do not have reservations, we were seated at the bar and people are still attentive and food is relatively quick.
Our favorites are the steak and frites and grilled pork belly taco. They are tasty, smoky and good balance of flavors. The jerk chicken though did not agree with my tummy - if you are not into spicy food, dont order it, my tummy is still feeling hot as I write this.
Overall, we'll come back and enjoy our favorites again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 22, 20241 check-in
Had dinner here last night and my first impression was I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. We had reservations for 6:15pm and were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp aquachile, coconut curry chicken empanadas and platanos maduros. The appetizer were a bit small in serving but the empanadas were our favorite, very flavorful.
For our entrees, we ordered the braised oxtail, black pepper shrimp, grilled octopus and the pimento braised pork shank with a side of brussel sprouts and sweet plantain. The entrees were delicious but we did wish there was more of a spice or kick to the oxtail and pork shank. Both had similar tastes in the sauce it was marinated with. Nonetheless, both meat were nice and tender. The octopus comes with two pieces and was delicious. As for the shrimp, the size was pretty decent and it wasn't over cooked.
Overall, the food and service were great! Would definitely recommend for dinner or drinks since they have a gorgeous bar area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 27, 20241 check-in
Alonso was our server and he didn't fail us with the recommendations. We enjoyed all our dishes. Tried a bit of everything. All the food was so savory and tasty. Superb flavors. Great vibe of a place. Enjoy the ambiance, service, food, ... everything was so picture worthy. Great gem of a place!!! If you love empanadas... you have to try the curry chicken... always made fresh. Make sure to save room for their pineapple upside down cake and coconut ice cream... so yum!!!

First time trying Lita! I went on a Sunday afternoon. There was a bit of a wait, but my table was immediately seated outside. The interior was phenomenal!
I got the Lita Jerk Chicken and it was both plenty and delicious. Along with Lita house made chips, and a few other main dishes, my group had a blast eating here. The staff were so friendly.
The bathroom was clean. Tables were clean. Parking can be challenging, but paid garages exist. I will be back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2 - Jun 30, 2024
Great find in Walnut Creek! We visited for dinner with a friend and enjoyed a wide variety of the dishes. We also had a few cocktails and enjoyed the various flavors and spices that felt homey with each dish. Service was friendly and quick, and we had outdoor seating (we weren't allowed inside without a reservation, which we didn't check for beforehand). The pineapple Bundt cake with coconut ice cream is a must-have. Empanadas were a bit small though, and prices were pretty steep. Special occasion meal only for our budget
Husband's review: "The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the upside-down pineapple Bundt cake was probably the most delicious dessert I've had in months. The ceviche was extremely good."Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca McCoy C.Walnut Creek, CA10113Aug 25, 2024
We came here to try and were greeted by the rudest hostess ever.
We are here to spend money n.... Just got this treatment from the hostess, smh. We will not be backHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brad S.San Francisco, CA9544Aug 9, 2024
We had a 715 reso on a Friday. Seated promptly. Our waiter was great. Cocktails were very good. Food really missed the mark. Apps were bland. Guacamole had zero seasoning. Tuna ceviche was flavorless. Said tomato tamarind sauce, tasted more like unsalted tomato water. Sprouts were great.
Mains - steak good, halibut good but overpowered by sauce. Pasta was twice cooked and mushy. The rice/bean side that came with the mains was awful. Mushy, unseasoned starch. Yuck.
Bar is way too close to the tables. No scene because of this. Steel drum guy is awesome!
Not good enough for a second try.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
