I cannot say enough good things about Little Seeds, we have loved it since my son started here as a two-year-old. Administration and staff here possess a wealth of knowledge with regard to child development and use this knowledge to create a stimulating and fun environment. They have a play-based structure with "invitations" to explore and participate in various activities. (See their facebook page for pics and explanations of this as they can explain an activity's relation to childhood development much better than I can.) There is a strong emphasis on kindness and being "a kind human," on celebrating different cultural holidays and on letting a child explore and decide if and how to participate in any given activity.

I know that my son loves his preschool, he loves all his teachers and friends at little seeds. He comes home happy every day and even teaches us things about the world that we didn't know. If I could go back in time and pick out a day care center all over again I would pick Little Seeds without a second thought. Bravo and thank you to this wonderful place!

When I was first looking at daycares (over 5 years ago now) I toured probably every single one on the island. There was just something about Little seeds that stuck out to me as the best. Sarah (the director) was engaging, and hilarious, and honest...which is exactly what I needed. It is such a stressful time trying to find a place that you trust with your little ones and I knew Little Seeds was perfect for my family. Fast forward to today, my 5 year old graduated from there last year and I have a 2.5 year old still there. When we drop off my youngest my oldest still runs to see the teachers and Ms. Sarah because he loves them so much.

If you are looking please add this to the top of your list. I truly feel like it is one big family there (both with the teachers and the other families) and I could not imagine any other place I would want my kids growing up.

I don't often go on Yelp anymore, but I know how hard it is to find good childcare, and hopefully I can help be a good reference to another family going through this (often painful) process. I can't say enough great things about Little Seeds - and Sarah Hallford who is the director (and real-life angel) who runs the place. Both my boys go there currently (ages 2 and 4), and they absolutely love it. There is no better way to tell if your kid likes their school than at drop-off. Everyday - before I can even get the backpacks out of the car - they go running up to the front door. The teachers are all loving, gentle and honest. They're an extension of our family, partnering with us through potty training, sleep issues and other key milestones in our kids' development. I'm immensely grateful for the love and support they've shown my kids - and our whole family.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate the director, Sarah Hallford, and the teachers at Little Seeds Children's Center as they work their magic with my son. When we toured Little Seeds, I knew we found the right spot. It is a play based preschool, where the kids are constantly learning new things through play. They have cool sensory bins on different topics where the kids learn about nature, science, and so much more. There's fun art activities like the annual art walk where the whole outdoor area is turned into an art gallery featuring your kids' art! It's a great way for your kid to showcase their art and meet with other parents. My son has learned so much, we've really seen him thrive at Little Seeds. Added bonus, they were amazing during potty training, couldn't have trained our son without them.

We moved cross country a couple of summers ago and, because we didn't know anyone in the area, we were nervous about finding childcare. As soon as we toured Little Seeds with Ms. Sarah, we knew it was where we wanted to send our daughter (almost 2 at the time). There's just the right amount of structure to a day with plenty of room for play and creativity. The teachers are nurturing and kind and work with each kid's individual needs. And our daughters (3.5 and 1.5) absolutely adore them. They've both built so much confidence and have formed the sweetest friendships. We're incredibly thankful for the Little Seeds community.

Can't say enough good things about Little Seeds. From the first moment we took the tour, my wife and I have known this was the right place for us and for the kid. And we were right! Our child seems to grow as a person every other day, even in areas we're not actively working on at home. She is openly collaborative, loves to consider all sides of a challenge, and takes to making art like a duck to water. I chalk it up mostly to the people she's with 40 hours/week, especially as led by the wonderful Miss Sarah who balances discipline with free-spirited creativity. If you're ready to let your kids live their lives and see them grow into healthy individuals, this is one of the best places you could choose. It's not really a place for helicopter parents, which is a relief.

Little seeds was recommended to me by a neighbor and I'm so grateful for the time we had there. The staff, teachers and fellow families became family to us. My son learned so much and loved every day there. I strongly recommend Little Seeds!

Little Seeds has been a part of our family for about 7 years now and we are all the better for it! As a behaviorist and mom of 3 (all of whom attend or did attend Little Seeds), I can tell you that their play-based curriculum and the way they care, teach and guide children is top notch. My 2 older kids still regularly make it a point to get out of the car to go and say hi to Ms Sarah and all the teachers that they knew from their time at Little Seeds. Additionally, 2 of my 3 kids are learning differenced and the lengths Little Seeds, especially the director, Sarah Hallford, have gone to to accommodate and support their development and progress is truly moving and we couldn't be more grateful. Sarah attends treatment team meetings and her input has been invaluable. My 2 that have graduated to elementary school are thriving and we are certain that Little Seeds have greatly contributed that success. I know - from 7 years of history with Litttle Seeds and Sarah - that children are valued, loved, appreciated and in the best of hands!

As someone who works in the Early Care and Education field as an advocate and deep in ECE policy, I know how important and difficult it is to find a child care site in the Bay Area and I highly recommend Little Seeds to family and friends. From the moment our child started at Little Seeds as a young toddler we have been incredibly pleased with the love, care, and nurturing that our little one receives daily. He is excited for school every day and has blossomed into a loving, caring, inquisitive, friendly, smart preschooler in thanks to the Director, Ms. Sarah, and every teacher who loves him like their own. He comes homes happy and full of stories about his friends and what he did and learned in the classroom and in their incredible outdoor classroom and yard. We are SO lucky to have found the perfect place for our little guy to learn and grow in the most important years of his life.

Every day my child comes home happy, tired, with new songs she didn't know the day before, and washable paint splattered on her shirt. In short -- everything you could ask for out of a daycare. The staff are so kind, we have been going since my daughter was a year old and I truly feel such a partnership with all the teachers at Little Seeds - helping to raise my kiddo to be a kind and creative soul.

      Worth. every. penny.
