My Dad owned a diesel truck repair shop in the Bronx. And he had a good business because he was a great mechanic and most of all honest so he had consistent client for many years not only in New York but cross country. When he passed from an accident, truckers from all over showed up to pay respects.
This is how I feel when I bring my car to Lorenzutti Motors.
Alejandro is great and most of all honest. I never feel I'm being bullshitted in anyway.
He does what needs to be done, he tells you what he recommends. Without a doubt if you have issues with your car this is the garage.

Alejandro and Dominic are a wonderful father and son team.

I was immediately impressed by Lorenzutti when I first visited two years ago and have been pleased with the service every time I have been back.

This establishment is run by an intelligent, honest, hardworking and highly competent family.

I took my vehicle in for an alignment. I rec'd a list of items be be fixed. I declined a brake job. Alejandro then said the shop no longer works on 240s & parts for 240s are hard to obtain. I removed my vehicle from Lorenzutti Motors & will seek service at another garage.

I first went to Lorenzutti Motors when I purchased a classic 1981 Mercedes roadster in 2010. I was looking for a mechanic with a top-notch reputation that I could trust for quality work at a fair price. As it turned out they are much more than that.

Alejandro is a master mechanic who knows every client and their cars in detail. He is involved in every repair of every car in his care and goes out of his way to get the job done right. Repairing classic cars can be tricky and expensive because it takes time to troubleshoot antique systems without the help of out-of-print manuals and supply chains for hard-to-find parts. The expense of these repairs can quickly skyrocket because of the time and space that these jobs require. In my case, Alejandro went out of his way to make the time and space to help me keep my Mercedes roadster in mint condition and charge me much better than fair prices. He once kept my car in his shop for over six months over one winter when I wouldn't use it, his mechanics working on it little by little, in between jobs, in order to keep my costs down. I know if I had parked my Mercedes in a garage in Brooklyn for the same time that he was working on it, I would have paid three times as much in storage fees as he charged me for his work. Alejandro is the kind of mechanic that everybody dreams about finding, no matter where they live, and especially in Brooklyn (Forgettaboutit!!!). Thanks for the great service!!!

I have been bringing my car to this place for almost 20 years now -- first an old Volvo, then a slightly newer Volvo, and now a Subaru Forester. They have never let me down! A fair, honest, reliable and incredibly knowledgable mechanic... I'd recommend this place to anyone!

I went in because I was getting fumes coming through my A/C vent. Without looking Alejandro said he were convinced it was my muffler system, which they charged $1100 to repair.

When I got it back I it had the same fume issue. A couple of days later I brought it back and I asked him to get in my car and check for himself. He was alarmed "That's a fuel leak, not gas fumes!"

That's what I told him. And then they charged me another $400 to fix some other part that was causing that.

The muffler system was fine.

FUCK THEM:
Too lazy to properly analyze the problem.
Overcharging for an unnecessary repair.
Putting me and my family in further danger while we drove around with a gas leak.
No break or anything to correctly remedy the issue.

If you're a Brooklyn resident with too much money and you find them charming then go ahead and risk their service. There are plenty of other shops to go to.

The beautiful essence of humanity has been shown to me this evening. Let me explain. For the past year, I have been healing through breast cancer. What I have learned is how much people want to help me heal.

My kia soul needed some care. I had not been able to give my car any attention this year. Finishing treatment 3 weeks ago, I found myself bringing my car into Lorenzutti. They were recommended and I am so glad I listened.

Alejandro was incredibly honest, thorough, and humble. I told him I was in a financial moment due to the health concern and he made sure everything was done swiftly. I then went to pick up my car and Stephen simply blew my heart wide open. As a gesture of compassion, he charged me only half of what I owed!!! Tears began streaming down my face and yes, I hugged him. Feeling beyond grateful for all I have received in this life. I now I have mechanics I truly trust and am undoubtedly grateful for. There are a lot of good reviews here and the accolades might be accurate, but I came here at 5:40pm today because my transmission and check engine light acted up suddenly and I saw some guys working inside. The head mechanic was talking to another customer about his new car, etc

I waited patiently and about 5:53pm I asked If he could scan my car for codes. He said "I am the only one here; all the guys left; I am just here working on my truck." No offer to leave the vehicle until morning, or any other solution. I understand it was near to business closing, but I found that response totally lacking in customer service and an outright lie. I observed the two guys who were working on vehicles leave after I got back in my car. I could have gotten angry and caused a scene, but now I know they will see this yelp review. Never ever turn down a customer because of laziness or whatever else. Thanks for nothing. I will not be recommending to anyone I know who may run into car trouble nearby. Just left a bad taste in my mouth and now I am at autozone getting it checked.

We brought our 2010 Golf here after several visits to another shop in the area that could not fix the problem. Alejandro and this shop lives up to the hype! He diagnosed and fixed the issue first time. Communicated well with us about the timeline for the repair and checked-in along the way. Are they very busy? Yes. Does it take a few attempts to get through? Maybe. However once you connect with this team they do everything they can to help you with what you need, when you need it and at a fair and reasonable price.

One year ago I visited Lorenzutti Motors for a repair. A year later I am back with a different repair and my experience was exactly the same - GREAT!
As Volvo owner of a 245, there is no better place to have this car repaired
than at Lorenzutti Motors. Alejandro, the manager is so nice, kind and willing to assist his customers in the best direction possible for what the car needs and what the customer will be satisfied with. When it comes to Volvos they are experts. They know these cars inside out and are able to diagnose problems without needing to check the car from top to bottom. Customers keep returning because they know L.M.is the best and are in great hands when it comes to both the repair and the customer service. Thank you , Alejandro
