Lotus Cleaning Services

I've never engaged for a deep cleaning service before today, and if I ever need to again, I'll call Lotus. Their team was right on time and left the house bright and shiny. I'm very pleased.

Not only they clean everything well, but they also organized some of my cabinets.

The team that cleaned my house were thorough and did an overall good job in cleaning all areas of my home, there were a few issues I'd like to address.

1. With the language barrier, it made it difficult to communicate basic tasks to the team such as asking them if they could do laundry of the bed sheets/bed spread.

2. While the team was very thorough in cleaning, they left my house very disorganized, and I ended up having to reorganize much of my things which was time consuming and unnecessary as a professional cleaning service should be able to clean and put things back to how they were found. I spent much of my time after the cleaning reorganizing my belongings as they were pushed around and not placed in their original spot.

3. The cleaning of the kitchen was very haphazard, and the team did not know how to properly load a dishwasher, leading to a misuse of the dishwasher load and I had to redo the dishwasher as many things had dirty dishwater in them due to being loaded incorrectly. This is not what I would expect from a professional service - basic understanding of loading/unloading a dishwasher, or hand washing dishes is imperative. They also placed many of my dishes in the wrong cabinets and instead of communicating with me and asking me where things should go, they made assumptions that left me looking for my kitchen tools or dishware in all the wrong places.

4. They did not understand how to operate my laundry machine and at one point, accidentally broke a piece of my laundry machine knob which I was able to fix with no issue. This is also a fairly standard practice with many professional cleaning services - clients should not have to dictate how many laundry pods to use, how to turn on the machine, etc.

Overall, the cleanliness of my house was satisfactory, but the expensive price of cleaning compounded with the issues I experienced, leave me unsatisfied with the service.

Just had a deep cleaning of my apartment by Lotus Cleaning Services and the place looks and feels incredible! They washed walls, moved the bed and cleaned under it, as well as all the usuals. I've never had such a great cleaning team, and I will definitely be having them back!

Earlier this month, in preparation for the arrival of our baby, my husband and I decided to seek professional help deep cleaning our two bathrooms and the oven in our kitchen. I utilized Yelp's Project feature to see if I could get quotes from a number of nearby cleaning services and Rebecca (Bessy) responded back just 13 minutes after Yelp sent out messages for quotes.

Bessy quoted us $55.75/hour for a single cleaner and $111.50 an hour for a team of two cleaners (with an overall minimum of $139.37). She noted that the deep clean we asked for would take anywhere from 2-3 hours for a single cleaner and that we could expect it to cost $139.37-$167.25).

Lotus has such great reviews from other Yelpers and a lot of compelling photos so we decided to go with them. I booked an appointment closer to my due date and they were able to accommodate a 9 am appointment on a Monday morning. They do note that their cleaners have a two hour window for arrival, in this case 9 am to 11 am, but that they would call if they would be late.

After these initial details were sorted out, Bessy sent a follow-up email with some more questions for their work order:

-Full name
-Will you be there to greet the cleaner?
-Can you tell me if there is street or metered parking?
-Where are the garbage and recycling bins located outside?

And a couple of notes:

- The first appointment is charged by credit card and there is a $5 processing fee.
- They have a 24 hour cancellation policy, if you cancel within less than the 24 hours there is a onetime fee of $139.38.

I had the option of providing credit card information through a website link or by calling their office at 510-452-0755. They don't charge your credit card until after the cleaning.

After those steps are taken care of, you get a summary email with all the information in one location, as well as a link to their policies, COVID-19 related info, etc.

On the day of the scheduled appointment, one cleaner, Maria Luisa, arrived at 9:17 am with all of her own supplies. She wore a mask throughout her time here and immediately got to work on the bathrooms (one has a full tub and the other has a shower). After she finished with the bathrooms, she made quick work of the oven and even wiped down the sink. As of 12:07 pm, she was completely done with everything and asked me to take a look and let her know if I had any questions.

Honestly, I don't remember our bathrooms or oven ever looking this clean.

In the ensuing weeks with a newborn, I can definitely see myself utilizing Lotus Cleaning Services to help my husband and I keep up with our home. Maria Luisa did an amazing job and I would absolutely recommend her and Lotus.

I highly recommend Lotus Cleaning Services! They responded to my call very quickly and set up an appointment. The person I spoke with was very warm and friendly. The cleaners were timely and did a fantastic job cleaning my office, which hadn't been used in 4 years. They cleaned my blinds and my windows, which were full of dust. They were very thorough with vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the furniture and all surfaces. My office looked brand new, and my rugs did not even have to be washed afterwards because it looked so clean after the vacuuming! The price was very reasonable. I would definitely hire them again!

We love Lotus Cleaners. We've used their services a number of times but recently Quenia and Cecilia cleaned our home and did an amazing job. They moved all the furniture cleaning in places that hadn't been reached since we moved in. They were professional, reliable, affordable and we signed on to get monthly cleanings moving forward. We would 10 out of 10 recommend their services.

Found Lotus on Yelp, looking for a reliable company with professionalism, offering a good service. I finally feel like I found it!
I no longer have to text back and forth with independent contractors who need to change schedules. I also like that I can prebook appointments, provide a credit card, and I'm done: employees show up on time do the work. Sounds simple but I am tired of trying to manage payments and scheduling with independent contractors who work for a company but do not have a centralized management system. Lotus delivers.

We have now used Lotus Cleaning Services three times, first for a home deep cleaning and then two regular biweekly cleanings. Their office is well run and easy to communicate with - and the house cleaners are excellent. We couldn't be happier with the results! They bring all their own supplies and get right to work. It is clear that they have received extensive training because they know exactly what to do in each room. We come home to find everything nicely cleaned and arranged. They even managed to clean our shower floor which we have struggled with for years - thanks to Sandra and her teammate for doing this on their last visit! Their rates are also quite reasonable. We only wish we had hired them long ago. If you are looking for a cleaning service that you can depend on look no further - Lotus Cleaning Services is terrific!
