Looking soley at the number of stars this Lowe's has, you would think you were entering one of the circles of hell by going here. However, in reading a few of them, it seems that some of the common issues are:
1. Trouble getting a hold of someone on the phone
2. Trouble with appliance deliveries to homes
3. Trouble with appliance pick-up from homes
None of these typically apply to me, and if they don't apply to you, keep reading:
I often order items on Lowes.com and set it for in-store pick-up. I've done this several times, and never had a problem: the pick-up counter was staffed and responsive, and I've gotten my items with no issues. This has ranged from smaller items like spray bottles, to larger ones like skylights. Walking around for items has also been no problem at all.
Lowe's prices are good, pretty much the same as Home Depot, so at times it's a matter of seeing which store has what I need in stock, and going to that store.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3951613224May 2, 2024
This is our local Home Improvement store. While we don't come too often, I've been to this location a handful of times over the last decade. Parking is usually pretty easy, as they share a large lot with the Lucky.
For the most part, they have a pretty standard selection of home improvement departments and goods. Everything from tools, to appliances, to various materials and supplies.
The prices seem to be reasonable; I haven't noticed anything being substantially overpriced. The staff is mostly friendly, with the occasional person going above and beyond, and the occasional person not having a great day.
We also like coming here for their garden center! They have a solid selection of plants, flowers, and gardening accessories. We very much look forward to our trips to Lowe's, especially when we're looking for garden additions!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 3746154197Sep 11, 2023Updated review
Great garden area, helpful staff, easy check out IN the garden area rather than lugging your selections inside the store!
A beautiful sunny time now to spend some time in the garden!! Blooming plants will perk up any spot!
Great selection of plants at Lowes. Each is clearly labeled with 1-6 to help you get the sun-lovers and shade plants in the right spot.
They also have hard-scape pavers : bricks etc. and pots here,Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0Aug 28, 2021Previous reviewThey do all the most important stuff for a large store.... Welcoming, clean, interested and knowledgeable store assistants.
Love the seasonal displays: Today you can find Summer gazebos, huge Halloween displays, and multi- color leaf displays for Thanksgiving-- Wow!
Returns are easy , IF you have the receipt and IF the item isn't discontinued.
Plants in the garden area are well cared for and fresh and a good variety of houseplants.
But they are often out of stock on the things we need to finish a project.
Where is the 1/4 " drip tubing... we see an empty shelf. - Abc D.San Francisco, CA6327821Sep 22, 2023
Tony, Tony, Tony! I didn't know how popular he was until I met him and spoke about him later to everyone who already knew him! Wow, Lowes need to pay him double for the amazing service he provides. He loooooooooves gardening and will give you simple ideas and tips to beautify your garden.
I didn't like these geranium flowers but he convinced me to mix the colors and I'm so glad. They are pretty! Thanks Tony!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel D.Sunnyvale, CA0111Jun 7, 2024
Originally, we ordered a gas range from Home Depot due to the 10% discount at their Sunnyvale, CA store. However, the delivery date was missed twice. The second time, they even asked us to call and reschedule a new date. When I called, the automated guidance was unclear. After spending several minutes on the call, I hung up and went straight to the store for a refund.
We then turned to Lowe's and had a much better experience. We ended up paying only about $70 more but got an upgraded gas range. The delivery service was impeccable. It only took 2 days to complete the delivery, which was done on Friday after our in-store purchase on Wednesday. Additionally, we received constant email updates about the delivery time and the status of our merchandise.
Lowe's will be our first choice for purchasing appliances in the future.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christopher W.San Francisco, CA45349Jul 15, 2023Updated review
Watching the team here work is like watching a public works crew filling a pothole. Inefficient as all hell; burning dumpster fire.
To the lady working self checkout today, you were literally a body that did not provide any value. A robot would do a better job, 100%.
You say, "Just go to customer service." like that's a minor ask. That's a long wait to have a conversation with a low effort employee that won't listen to or try to understand my concern. A visit to customer service at Lowe's is how you test your patience.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 27, 2019Previous reviewTo the associate in plumbing who decided it was better to conduct a phallus measuring contest with me rather than listen to my concern and come up with a reasonable solution, I was right and you were wrong. I mentioned that the male threads coming from my bath spout were approximately 1 inch in diameter so this 1/2" piece in this spout kit wasn't going to work. You said, "Yeah, you need to screw this into it." I said, "How do you screw something male ~1 inch in diameter into something 1/2 inch female?" You said,"It will work." I said, "That makes no sense." You said, "I think I"m pretty correct." I walked away at this point...
Well guess what? You were pretty incorrect, absolutely incorrect as a matter of fact. Things that are bigger cannot be threaded onto things that are smaller. I even tried just in case by some strange reason the world went weird on me me and basic principals of the reality I live in changed. I kept saying I think I understand what you're saying, but my spout has a brass adapter that is soldered on and 1" in diameter. YOU JUST WOULDN'T LISTEN.
It didn't have to be this way LOWE'S, it just didn't. - Jason B.San Bruno, CA42846May 14, 2024
Waited in line at the paint counter behind 5 customers for 15 minutes. No employees in sight. Had to leave. Time is money.

Tom is amazing! He's super friendly, efficient, and helpful with our asks. Make sure to come to this specific Lowe's instead of the one in SF; worth the drive for the amazing service! I've had a couple purchases and returns here and they always come out to help my family move things in/out carefully.

Nice size store that at least had what I wanted, a decent Plunger !
As for the store, easy parking, spacious, and it appeared to be well stocked.
Lowe's also has a large garden center, and decent holiday offering.
As for my shop, I just wanted a well made Rubber Plunger which in this case is made by Korky, the store was stocked with what I wanted to buy so yea I was happy.
Why 3 stars, easy answer my shop was basic and my checkout was done by myself. I'd consider a higher rating if my needs had been more complex.Helpful 21Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Bella T.San Francisco, CA7161184Jul 5, 2023Updated review
Came in today I wanted to make some flexible seating for my classroom. Demetrious helped me out first but we had to take a break. Tom came in and helped out. He was amazing and patient. I definitely will

We are very lucky to have Cassie guide us through the process of how to use a paint sprayer and what we need to purchase. We went back the following week and she was so helpful and remembered us. I totally recommend the store and she was amazing
