Ludlow house is combination of sophistication and style. The decor is impeccable with beautiful furnishings and great vibe, which puts you instantly at comfort.
The food and cocktails are standard like every Soho house ever.
Despite its popularity and location, I loved that during my visit it wasn't too crowded, allowing for a more intimate experience.
I think this is by far the best social club in the cityHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 3, 2023
I attended as a guest of a friend recently and had a nice experience. The main floor is dark and cozy with a lounge vibe and a fireplace. The other floors have their own decor and look.
We ate dinner at the Chinese restaurant upstairs, which says their specialty is duck. We didn't try the duck but shared various dumplings, appetizers, and fried rice dim sum style. Everything was very tasty, and there was a lot of fried rice--plenty of leftovers to take home.
I see some comments here about not having good service, but we had a good experience both at the Chinese restaurant upstairs and the bar downstairs--no issues, and everyone was friendly.
A cool place to go if you know someone to get you in! It's also close to the Delancey and Essex subway stop, so pretty easy to get to.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Feb 26, 2023
Eh...
The Ludlow House is a sexy vibe from the moment you walk in and I get the exclusivity that this place is trying to convey here but, The Grotto experience was just "eh". The food was especially tasteless, so much so I had to ask for salt (which they gave me an empty wooden grinder) and pepper AND hot sauce. I looked around and saw a lot of half eaten plates on tables filled with pancakes and scrambled eggs. Me; I ate every bit of that $16 meatless quesadilla (yep! Scrambled eggs, mushrooms and cheese, sliced in tiny triangles!). Decor was beautiful, but we were cold by a door with a merciless draft! We played ring-a-round the roses at the table until we decided to just hang our coat on the handle to block the wind. Service was fine and we ended up paying almost $75 for one drink, one sparkling water, a quesadilla and smoked salmon. Eh, you win some, you lose some.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 517270301Jan 20, 2024
Trendy and spacious spot! I was always interested in applying for SoHo House and visited this location as a guest. I love how each location has a different vibe and after checking out more NYC locations may consider applying. Staff was a little tense.

No, I'm not a member, but I was invited in by one. We had a great conversation over a light lunch in a quiet environment that made the noise of the city disappear for the time we were there. As it states on their website: "Opened in 2016, the House is set over four floors of a 143-year-old former gold leaf factory, among the grit and glamour of Manhattan's art and culture-immersed Lower East Side." This place is a location of the Soho House Social Club. The membership rates are very reasonable for their target audience, and they seem to offer a significant discount in some cases.
While waiting for the member to arrive before I went in it was interesting to see people either trying to find the place or get in. Besides the address being visible there is zero indication that the place is here or a hint as to where the doorbell is to gain access!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - 150134230Feb 21, 2023
Came here with a friend who had a membership. Venue was packed but drink/food were solid. Overall, a very nice experience!

Ludlow house was fun. If you know someone with a membership And they invite you take them up on that offer! The food was okay. Not the worst thing in the world, but not the best. Service is great!

The decor here is warm, inviting- the lighting is similar to Soho House- super super dim, candles around the room etc. It's also smaller and so feels a little more cozy and low key.
The menu/food/drinks are okay- You come here for the atmosphere I guess- Would recommend if you have the chance to do so!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jessica N.Manhattan, New York, NY47892Jan 28, 2023
Food was fine, place is pretty, WORST SERVICE EVER. The waiters are rude and unhappy, we waited too long to receive silverware that our food got cold, and they brought two people's food out and the remaining 3 people didn't receive theirs for another 20 minutes after!
Do not recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
