Amazing vibes. I love how this place is low key in comparison to the rest of Walnut Creek. It reminds me of a speakeasy. The atmosphere is chic yet cozy. Even the ladies bathroom is nice. That's always a plus, in my book.
It's a smaller space but I've gone with groups and date night. I've always enjoyed myself.
The staff is always warm and welcoming.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jun 16, 20241 check-in
Never. Again. Ambiance is welcoming, Rebekah the bartender was super friendly.
However, $5.00 upcharge per drink for soda water in a vodka press is absolutely absurd. Also, I would like to point out for the record that NOWHERE on the menu, website, physical building, or a mention from the bartender to say there's going to be a charge for the soda. Yes, they pour fever tree as a default, but a four pack of fever tree will run you about $6.50 (or less) at your local grocery store. Yet you've got the audacity to blindly charge your customers $5.00 for half a bottle? Not only do you not keep to keep the bottle, goes back into the fridge after they make your drink, but you've got no idea you're even being charged for it until the bill comes.
I get that businesses, especially new(er) ones, need to make money, but at what cost? This is an absolute joke of a business practice, and I sincerely hope all of you out there take this review to heart before deciding to be swindled at Luna. Because that's exactly what I feel like after leaving, that I got swindled.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Apr 28, 2024
A new boutique lounge within Waymark in Walnut Creek.
The honey ordered a Velvet Buzzsaw and I ordered the Confidential. Both were fantastic. The color of the Confidential was gorgeous and the lavender taste was phenomenal. For drinkability, I'd likely go with a Velvet Buzzsaw, as the notes of rhubarb and raspberry were a bit more smooth.
I also loved the ambiance. The music volume was perfect, as was the sound system, and the seating was plush and comfortable. The service - although on the more methodical side - was helpful and friendly.
While everything else at Luna Sea was amazing, the charcuterie board was not to our taste. Although the small helping of raspberries, pistachios, and olives were all high quality, the larger amount of crackers, meat, and spread were not. I almost wished I hadn't ordered it because my review would be five stars otherwise.
We were lucky that Mozzeria had a truck outside so we enjoyed a bit of delicious pizza after (deaf owned and operated) but I think overall Luna Sea would benefit from removing the board from the menu or working with a deli.
All in all we would definitely return, but I wouldn't order the charcuterie board again.Helpful 5Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Absolutely grown and sexxy Lil lounge for you and your friend, wink wink or you and the wifey and hubby. Very clean, safe, and friendly. The staff are genuinely Hella cool.
We had the pleasure of being served by Becky, who is as gorgeous as she is friendly. She was nice enough to enlighten us on several cocktails and the history of the place. We will definitely be returning if for nothing else because of how welcoming she was. But the other staff seem to be very engaging and genuinely friendly. My wife and I love this place, and it is now one of our favorites. Definitely recommended it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 420174324Aug 24, 20241 check-in
This bar is tucked away on Pringle Ave. And immediate parking is very scarce. Once inside, you're transported to a mashup of the Golden age of piracy and a speakeasy. Plenty of seating and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The drink menu is an adventure, I played it safe and ordered an espresso martini. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Really amazing vibe! Drinks were superior due to the two amazing bartenders on the weekends. They gave me and my friends great recommendations. A little bit pricey but honestly average for the area (WC). Good music, one of the bartenders was playing house music if you're into that ! Bathroom was so cute and clean.

Went on a Sunday shortly after it opened, it was pretty dead inside but the cocktails were delicious. The printing machine for the top of drinks wasn't working properly as the bartender said they went to a new "foam." Go back to the one that works... or get rid of it. Other than that, I will give it another go when it's a little busier. But definitely had good cocktails and potential.

My friends and I have been wanting to visit this bar for awhile because we were intrigued by the sea theme. It's a little further from broadway plaza and it gave speakeasy vibes. Walking in, it looked smaller than expected but I liked the cozy lounge vibes.
All the bartenders were amazing! We walked into lgbt music playing and the bartender that attendeds Cal Berkeley let us play Pink Friday 2. We love a Barb.
Becky was also so helpful when printing out our drinks! She was so patient and helped us troubleshoot the qr code.
10/10 would recommend. There was a lot of dudes there. We'll try to fix the ratio next time.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1
