Excellent movers, would definitely use them again!!

Had to move a bunch of stuff from a storage unit in West La to a new one near my place in San Diego, and I couldn't be happier with our mover Lucas and with Man With a Truck Moving.

It can be surprisingly hard to find movers @ a decent price for a small move--I basically just had approx. 20-30 pre-packed boxes that were already in a storage unit, but I wanted them moved down to SD. Granted I could have just made 3 trips there and back myself with my car, but between the time, the gas, and the hassle, hiring movers was a lifesaver. I mean really...what girl wants to lug around heavy boxes all day when you don't have to? Moving is enough of a hassle already...why make it worse?!!

After discussing prices with Mark, he told me I only really needed 1 mover with a small truck--and although I was a bit skeptical, he was totally right! Lucas completed the move in no time at all, and the price I ended up paying, even after leaving a nice tip, was still much less than most of the other price quotes I had received. They were prompt, very friendly, and made the move easy.

Literally in awe. This is HANDS DOWN THE BEST MOVING COMPANY IN TOWN. I have moved 9 times in 6 years and this was the first time it wasn't an absolute disaster. We have a lot of shit and when I say a lot I mean we had gone form a 6,000sqt house to half the size so just imagine... not to mention we have 2 kids, 6 pets, and all the equipment for any hobbies we have ever glanced at !! ALSO we have RH heavy a$$ furniture and a baby grand piano !!! They they got a workout in today! Ha!

We had to rearrange the furniture around a lot and the guys were so great about it! They are beyond professional, efficient and superfluously hard working!!! I really hope I don't have to move again but if I do I will for sure call them!!!

Lastly the pricing is very fair!!!! I had another quote for the same move asking for double the amount and stating they needed 2 days! These guys handled everything in a timely manner and what I loved most was that they gave me a max number which the move wouldn't cost more!! This I appreciate because in my 9x experience they are the only company that didn't blindside me with thousands of dollars more then what they quoted me!!


BEYOND PLEASED !!!! Stop the searching and just hire this company trust me I have experienced it all!!!

Protection & precision!!! They were packed onto a LARGE truck and held overnight! Then another amazing crew delivered it all the next day!

They put all the rugs & furniture in its place-unpacked all the boxes alongside of us & took them away!!
They even took some VERY HEAVY items to the third story outdoor terrace!!

First of all the guys were extremely nice when they got to my place. It was a 1bed/1 bath apartment where everything was pretty much boxed up. 3 hour minimum which was reasonable. I've hired movers before with this amount of stuff that was way less packed and it took them 4 hours total so that's what I was expecting. Well it took 3 guys over 4 hours just to load up the truck. I don't want to say they were probably milking the clock, but that's what it seemed like.
Then once we got to my new place, it was over a 30 min drive so I understand the time and a half drive time, but then it took them over 2 hours to get everything unloaded. And here's the best part, after they said they were done and collected my payment of almost double from what I was expecting, they dipped out as fast as they could. I guess they wanted to get out of there fast because when I started unpacking my boxes I noticed a bunch of dish ware shattered in the box. A collection of mugs my wife accumulated over the years and also a serving platter that was a wedding gift to us. We were also missing a piece of bathroom furniture and a full length mirror. And only to make this better, I noticed when they moved in a dresser, they ran it right into the wall in my new place which now brandishes a huge hole. When I initially emailed them about this, they said to provide receipts for the damaged items, to which I provided I didn't have them because I don't keep receipts of things I collect over years. No response. And when I called them, they asked if I called the police for the missing items. Like I didn't think I had to get it to that point. As for the damaged items I asked for some sort of partial refund (I know there is no way in Hell they'd give me a full one) and they said they'll see what they can do. Which definitely means they won't. So what I'm trying to say is, this was the worst moving company experiences I've ever had. Spend your money on another company. It will save you a headache and tears from your wife that something so special to her can be destroyed without any remorse.

My fiance hired this company to help us move out from West LA to K-Town! There are different rates depending on time and miles included.

When Andrii and Stas arrived, they were ready to go! We showed them the things that needed to be moved, and they immediately went to work. I was ready to work alongside them, but these two were so efficient I didn't want to interrupt and slow them down hahaha.

When we got to the new place, we showed them where we wanted the big furniture pieces, and they went to work again! For only two people they work fast, efficiently, and moved in my items with care!

We booked them for 3 hours, but they work so well that they finished in 2 hours! I'll definitely use them again!

We hired this company for our move recently. It was going pretty good until we got to the new home that we were moving into. The movers put down clothes so they wouldn't damage our carpet. However when they moved stuff into the kitchen area where the linoleum is they did not. While the were moving the refrigerator they accidentally tore the flooring in 3 spots. One of the gentlemen said he was sorry and could glue it back down. I called the phone number on the moving website and left a message describing the incident. Afterwards the movers put flooring in throughout the kitchen. I got an email back pretty quickly asking for more information which I provided. After the move was done we were asked to initial a "no damage" section. We advised we wouldn't since they had damaged the flooring. The movers again apologized and said they would try to fix it. This is a newly built home so the linoleum was brand new. So any damage was slightly heartbreaking. Similar to buying a new car and someone scratching it five minutes later. The movers were able to somewhat repair the tears but we are worried that the tears will lift again or possibly get caught on something and become worse.
Jane from the moving company correspondended with me and asked for pictures and measurements
which were provided. She said she would forward the information to her manager and someone would get back to me. It has now been a few days and I have sent two follow up emails with no response. While the damaged was accidental it should not be at our expense to fix since it was not our fault. If the the moving company can remedy the situation we would be happy to give more stars as most of the rest of the move was smooth

****UPDATE****
After speaking with mgmt the company has reimbursed us for the damages to our flooring. We are happy with the outcome and appreciate the company resolving this matter quickly. We would recommend this company and we would use them again

I can't say whether or not I would recommend them because they have not responded . I spoke to Luke and got a quote on June 19. I have called and emailed as I am ready to go. I have given it over 24 hours and still no response. I'm very disappointed.

I'm sure they're normally great. But if they screw up, they will lie to protect themselves and avoid any compensation to make amends.

This is not the same company I hired in 2013. It's the same business, but it seems to be under entirely new ownership with completely different support staff. It feels far less professionally run and lacking the human touch that I got in 2013.

One of their movers was rather careless and knocked over my TV face down onto my hardwood floor because he wasn't minding his buttocks. Thankfully, the TV landed flush, so there appears to be no damage. When this guy set the TV up at my new place, he kept jabbing the screen with his fingertips, which were dirty from moving. He thought it was a touchscreen.

"See? It work. No problem!"

When I called Justine to complain about this carelessness, either she lied or the mover lied to her. She said the TV landed on my rug. It did not. I saw it fall onto my hardwood floor.

I had a 30-day period to report any damage. This is probably an illegal policy because consumer electronics products can manifest signs of damage long after 30 days from the incident. The TV is fine for now, so I can only hope that there are no issues that materialize later.

Not hiring them again.

Incredible move, thanks to Daniel and Alex! So friendly and helpful they made moving so much less stressful than it always is. I cannot recommend this company enough, and especially these two movers. They helped me take apart my furniture , throw things away, and were patient as we tried to navigate the elevators in my new apartment. They treated all of my items with such care and they were SOOOOO quick, i could not believe it. They unloaded my truck in about 30 mins at the new place because they knew exactly what they are going.

Hopefully, i don't have to move for a long time but next time i do i will be calling man with a truck again!! And again huge thank you to Daniel and Alex, my movers, for being such an incredible team!!!
