WOW. Just wow. Marina Pest Control goes above and beyond with their customer service. We were getting hundreds of insects pouring into our home this summer and were referred to Armando/Marina Pest Control by a friend. Regretfully, they were not licensed to service our area and had to decline service, but the person on the phone, Debbie, was so kind to ask us to send photos of the pests anyway so she could look into it. The next day Debbie called back, identified the type of pest problem we were having and recommended a solution outside of their company. I was so thankful that Debbie went out of her way to help us even though we couldn't use their company. What a class act!

They're the best in SF at getting rid of roaches and that's a fact! I moved into this nightmare 4 years ago in the TLs from a smaller building that did have pest at all so NIGHTMARE! The building finally got pest control but the 1 few people sucked but these guys have been coming here all year as far as I know since January they're very friendly and respectful Kevin foots and Filipe I didn't get his last name but these guys are cool great at their job I hope gov bless them cause I feel at home finally after 3 years of living here I don't have to worry about my things or room when I'm gone for any length of time thank you you guys and Marina pest control for the piece of mind! I had almost given up hope. Months and months of Terro Ant Bait had done little to curb those pesky ants. I'm so glad I called Marina Pest Control. They were able to get me scheduled right away, and their service comes with a free 90 day follow up appointment.

The technician came and sprayed around the house, and also found places where ants were most likely coming in.

A few weeks later, and I haven't seen a single ant since.

In the nine months since Armando's careful work, I haven't seen a bug, roach, or rodent. Nine months! To tell the story:

I rent in a nice old wooden building in the Castro. A new management company took over on January 1. My first request was for exterminator help. I'd found a mouse hole under the kitchen sink, which their handyman quickly covered with a 2x4. Bugs large and small remained.

On January 15, Marina Pest Control arrived. Armando, a 20-year veteran, uniformed and carrying two tackle boxes, spent almost 90 minutes with me. He searched in and under everything in the kitchen and bathroom. He baited and set a dozen mouse traps ("three in one place gets their attention"), attached glue strips to likely surfaces, and squeezed pea-sized dabs of bug poison onto bug travel routes. Armando found water collecting under a counter, which was mine to fix. We walked downstairs to find points of entry in the garage and storage areas, possible nesting places in the garden, and he checked the inspection dates of another firm's work at an adjoining restaurant. Armando was meticulous, un-judging, charming and eagle-eyed.

Since that day nine months ago, bugs haven't returned. Cause for celebration. Thank you, Marina Pest Control!

I spoke with Cathy, (or Kathy... not sure how it was spelled) over the phone and she was so helpful. She took the time to listen to my issue and suprisingly I was able to get an appointment for the same day for someone to come and do a home inspection.

The inspector, DAVE, came by actually an hour early (love it!) and was so friendly, knowledgable and he even took the time to say hi to our family dog(s).

I highly recommend this company due to the level of serivce and professionalism I encountered while working with them. I will be using Marina in the furture and recommending them to my family and friends!

Marina Pest Control is an example of the prompt, attentive, high quality customer service when supporting local small businesses.

The initial tech could not locate the source where the dead beetles could've came from, so recognizing this wasn't a typical case, he called the boss who came over to check it out himself. That open dialogue manager/employee dynamic is refreshing to witness.

Armando was determined to find the source and was thorough in asking questions, checking every single inch of home including inside unpacked moving boxes that I was too terrified to check myself. Eventually finding larva shells under old torn up linoleum under the fridge (property management clearly didnt check this before I moved in), he was also honest enough to tell me that there wasn't any live insects & whatever actions I took beforehand might've taken care of the issue.

Armando was calm and patient with my panicked state, even went beyond the call of duty to reassure me that i could text him if I find anymore pests. He also came back a week later to check some insect sticky traps.
One beetle was found in the trap, he said that I didn't need to spray but I was so scared I scheduled one anyways which he did and haven't found another pest since.

So yes, I recommend them!

(Props for staying open as an essential business during the current pandemic, finding pest in your home when required to shelter-in is quite frightening. They arrived in PPE, and respectful of my OCD requests to put on new set of gloves once inside my apartment. )

I highly recommend Marina Pest Control to any multi-residential apartment owner. It is a very well run business and the administrative staff is excellent.

I have a 10 unit building that needed quality pest control and I found the right company. Armando did an inspection of every unit and has made such a positive difference with my tenants. He has a calm and professional way of speaking with and educating tenants. My tenants are already making necessary changes to alleviate the pest issue.
He will do follow ups with the tenants as well as treat the common areas.

I contact Marina Pest Control for the ants extermination service. They called me back within 4 hours. They were unfortunately fully booked and I had to wait for a week for the available appointment. A couple hours later, they called me back that there was a last minute cancellation and Rafo came on the same day. Rafo arrived right on time. He is a very nice gentlemen. He walked around the house and sprayed the possible traces of the ants.
MPC provided great service. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Marina Pest Control. For the past few months we've had an ongoing problems with rats coming onto our deck outside our kitchen and contacted Marina Pest Control for help. The women who work in the front office are efficient, courteous and friendly. They sent Armando out who also owns this long standing company. He set traps which caught the rats and gave me helpful suggestions in dealing with the problem. He was always on time, courteous and skilled in rat extermination. I also thought their prices were very reasonable. They don't do preventive work themselves, such as plugging up points of entry, but can refer you to someone who can do this work.

They do not do anything more than you can do. They came and did a quick visual inspection and placed the traps. They did not remove any baseboards where all the rodent entrance points were. Waste of money. Anybody can do what they offer.
