    • Q:

Any other food to order for my wife beside Ramen?

      A:

There are Kara age (fried chicken), takoyaki (octopus balls), and gyoza. These are all sort of like sides or appetizers. The takoyaki was excellent.

    • Q:

Can i make a reservation weeks in advance?

      A:

Unfortunately no. They do use yelp for the reservations in person but I don't think you can do through here in advance.

Everything was beyond delicious, best ramen i've ever had. Service was great too! Can't recommend this spot enough if you're in Japantown, well worth the wait. :)

I've coming here for the Ramen for sometime and I tried their fried chicken for the first time the other day and it was incredible! Crispy and not overcooked really hot in the center and served as big pieces. Doesn't feel too greasy, taste great with the mayo. The chicken Patain Ramen is also tasty, more rich than a chicken noodle soup because it's Ramen and the broth is thick, but not as rich as the meat Ramen if you're trying to fight a cold or just feel like having a lighter fare that night; I order this one as takeout every time I'm not feeling great. They recently expanded next door to the original restaurant as the second sitdown option, which is nice.

There was usually a long wait at night and over the weekend so I recommend visiting the store on a weekday, or signed up for yelp's waiting list. Ambiance was clean but could be harder to talk during rush moments.

Thin ramen noodles were in perfect texture. The boiled egg had a soft yolk melting but it would be better if the egg was marinated. There were a few spice levels to choose and they provided a lot of toppings. Soup was rich and creamy.

Staff was interactive by asking us if we have visited the place before and checked in in the middle of the meal.

Food: I'm really not sure what the hype is about. This is probably one of the worst ramen bowls I've had in SF. My tonkatsu broth was not flavorful/quite bland, and the flavor did not seem to seep in to the noodles. The noodles were also stuck together and tasted so chewy that I wondered if they were undercooked.
Service: Service was quick, but it felt like they were really trying to kick us out ASAP. Multiple waiters tried to clear our table atleast 5 times despite my group repeatedly telling them each time that we were not finished.
Ambiance: It was incredibly hot in the restaurant on the day I went. It wasn't that hot outside, but I think there's just very poor circulation in the store. Wish they would have fans or AC on warmer days.

Came here on a whim with my little girl when the udon shop next door had a wait. My daughter ordered the kid ramen meal, which came with small bowl of ramen in a tonkatsu broth, and a side dish which comprised of chicken karaage, broccoli, corn and edamame, french fries and apple juice. I ordered the spicy tantan men. Our meals were delicioius and oh so filling!

Cannot wait to come back with the entire family!

Favorite ramen place in the city! The broth is so flavorful. Not a lot of chicken but plenty of noodles.

There was a bit of a wait to get seated. Very cozy interior inside though!

Absolutely amazing!!!!! We ordered so much food. Everything was incredible. Temperature, taste, service... everything!!! We waited a while to get a table even after having a reservation, so be ready to wait-but the wait is totally worth it!!!! Soooo amazing!!!

Some of the best ramen I've tried in the Bay Area. My group came on a weekend and it was really busy so we put our name down, and were sat within 30 minutes! I would recommend sticking around the restaurant as you get within 10 places from the top of the list because we were called earlier than I thought (you can walk around the mall and check your spot on the Yelp app!)

I ordered the tonkatsu with extra noodles for $1 and it was very filling and delicious. I would say that the extra noodles were unnecessary because they already give you a good size portion, but get them if you are very hungry! The egg was perfectly soft boiled, the broth was amazing, and the pork was delicious! 10/10 will come back here again (hopefully soon!)

Delicious! This place fills up QUICK, as they have specials that are sometimes limited to 15 servings per day. Get there right at opening (11 am) for the best seats. Staff is friendly and prompt- you are always checked in on by many, not just one server. Very helpful!

The Marufuku buns are fluffy, pork is seasoned perfectly and the sauce was saucing! Juicy and tasty.
Chicken paitan broth was milky and flavored perfectly, in-house made noodles cooked just right of course.
They always offer amazing beer selections, and I highly recommend the Sorry Umami IPA. It's not fishy despite being made with bonito flakes!

Always on our list of spots to visit when we drop into Japantown. Can't wait to go back.
