My wife needed a taxi to SFO yesterday (Thursday) for a business trip early in the morning. I called on Wednesday to schedule a pick up. The guy on the other line spoke very broken English, so I asked him to repeat my reservation slowly and made sure everything is accurate. On top of that, I told him I would email all the info just in case. He said great. I emailed right after hanging up the phone, included my address, phone number, and TIME (5:00AM). I asked for an email reply as a confirmation. Never got one. But I was not too worried. After all, it was a four-star taxi company per Yelp...

I was wrong. My wife woke me up at 5:10AM and told me no taxi has showed up or called. We woke up our nice-month old daughter, got in our car and drove to SFO. The taxi driver finally called at 5:34AM. When my wife told him that he was too late and we were already on our way, he said we told them 5:30, not 5:00... Umm... I was going to give you a two-star review on Yelp, but with this lie, one-star it is!

Updated from 1 star to 2 due to the email below which I received on July 17. Once I get a chance to use their service, I will post additional comments.

I just spoke to your wife about the reservation. I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience. From my understanding, the cab driver was parked near your house. He arrived at 4:30am, but unfortunately fell asleep. He was waiting for your call to see if you were ready. However, your wife said that she didn't have the phone number. We are very sorry for the mix up.

So we would like to offer you a free cab ride anywhere at anytime you need or your money back that you spent to go to SFO. We hope that you can give us a second chance in order to rectify this issue and possibly, change your review of us.

Again, we are sorry for your inconvenience.

They are awesome and saved me from a long BART delay tonight- and called me to make sure they got the right person!!! :)

This was my quick tip from a few weeks ago when I was stuck on BART for 2 hours and then stranded at Ashby. My trusty yelp app came to my rescue and delivered me from a long wait - I've never been so happy to be in a taxi in my life- really friendly, professional, quick - and safe at the same time. I would definitely call them again.

They get 4 stars for being on time, pleasant, calling 10 min ahead of pick up time--at 4:45am!
But, when after I paid my fare and got a receipt I saw that it said flat rate fares to all bay area airports! My $46 fare was metered. It just made me feel a little taken advantage of.

I would definitely call them again, but ask first about flat rate fares to the airport!

These guys were great. I scheduled an early morning pick-up the night before we needed to be at the airport. The driver was early and polite and got us to the airport earlier than we were hoping. And the quote the dispatcher gave me over the phone was accurate. It's hard to find a dependable cab company. I'll definitely use them again.

I called for a super-early early pick-up (4 am) and the car came right on time. The driver picked up my bag and was super-friendly. I think I may have undertipped because I was half asleep, but I would definitely call again!

I took a cab from Marwan cab from the Berkeley BART, and the experience seemed pretty sleazy/sketchy to me. The taxicab license wasn't posted; there was no cab number visible; the driver had turned around his ID so that it was not visible; when I asked for a receipt, he said he had no receipts. Is this a real business? I wouldn't use this taxi company again.

(P.S. when I initially got in the cab, the meter was reading $3+change. I'm not sure about this, but isn't the meter supposed to initially read $2.40 when you first get in?)

We scheduled a pick-up for 6am, and our driver showed up at 5:55. He was pretty savvy, considering that we were heading to the middle of nowhere in Oakland. We arrived way too early, but rather than have us spend our time standing at a questionable streetcorner, he let us wait in the car for an extra 20 minutes --- without any mention of compensation. We tipped well, and would definitely use them again.

How disappointing! I thought that after all the great reviews these guys got that they would be competent. They're not.
Some friends asked for a ride to SFO early Tuesday morning. I thought hard about early morning SF traffic and decided to get them a taxi instead. Marwan had great reviews here, so I called them up. The dispatcher was friendly and chatty, commenting about how organized I was. Too bad I couldn't say the same for him. He failed to tell the driver that the trip was pre-paid, and the driver flipped out at my friends, resulting in an early morning call to me to straighten things out.
Then it transpired that the dispatcher had also failed to get important information from me - and to realize that he was going to need a signature. So he had to send a driver out to my work to get it, right in the middle of a busy morning. If I was one iota less fair-minded, I wouldn't have paid for the damn ride at all.
Maybe these guys are okay when you pay cash, but for anything complicated, try someone else.

Jamal, my Somalian cab driver, came 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. He helped load up AND take out my large suitcase from the trunk. To top it all off , he then took off 3 dollars from my 28 dollar total, "because i know being a student is tough." I was so impressed i gave him 30. Will definitely be using this service for all my taxi needs in the future! Fantastic!

Cab was great. I called the night before for a trip to the Oakland Airport. Driver was early (he waited), pleasant and a good driver. I had to use a credit card which took a moment. I'd use them again!
