China's Most Popular Street Breakfasts!
Me and Crepe in Richmond serves some of the most authentic Jian bings in all of Vancouver! Everything was so scrumptious and tasty! The authenticity of these crepes made me feel as though I was having breakfast with my friends and family back in China again. I also loved the large variety of tofu soups, egg wraps, crepes and combos they had on the menu. The crispy egg wrap was so good that it was gone within a minute. I've also never had savory tofu soup before, and after trying it at Me and Crepe, I think it might just be a new favorite! And of course, no Chinese breakfast is complete without a sweet cup of soy milk!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Diego Felipe R.Golden Village, Vancouver, Canada02May 6, 2024
The crispy crepe are so good. Such a cute, small place. Very local vibes and the service was solid. Can't ask for more from a small crepe place like this. Man, the crepe was so good I almost ordered two

Stopped here for a quick before-flight meal and a selfie with a Jay Chou cutout. Best last-minute decision ever because these Chinese crepes/ jian bings were the best I've ever had outside of Asia.
They seem to get a lot of takeout orders as the place itself only has around 5 small tables. The crepes were made-to-order but came out super quickly. We got Combo A with golden tuna crepe, tea egg, and soy milk; and Combo B with peking duck crepe, century egg Tofu Now soup, and tea egg. It seems our eyes were bigger than our stomachs because that was way too much food for breakfast. The crepes were rather large and we loved the crunchy texture and flavorful fillings of both of them. I was surprised to see a decent amount of veggies in them too. The favorite was the peking duck because it was more unique. The tea egg had a strong tea flavor without being too dry on the inside. The savory Tofu Now soup was also delicious. Been searching for a good jian bing place back home ever since but none have compared to the yumminess we experienced here!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 7, 2022
Cute small tables, lots of seating and parking is easy enough to find on a weekday. Staff are busy with a steady stream of takeout orders but are polite and work quickly.
For the crepes, I opted for the Golden Tuna and Peking Duck. Both were great! The fillings were yummy, and the nice 'eggy' flavour of these kinds of crepes was really prominent. Maybe between the two, the tuna crepe won me over just a little more. Just something about the corn, tuna and mayo combo, and there could have been just a little more hoisin sauce in the Peking duck. For snacks/appies, the "Tofu Now" with century egg was universally loved by my group. Think a suuuper soft, savoury tofu pudding packed with flavour. Its Chinese name is also quite funny, it literally translates to 'tofu brain', haha.
The Grilled Squid was also nice, as long as you enjoy a strong cumin flavour and a little numbing spice. If you are not a fan of those, stick to other dishes instead. Finally, the soy milk here is so good!!! So worth upgrading to a combo for this. I had it cold, and my friend having it hot loved it too.
Thanks to the team at Me + Crepe for the great meal!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2022
Jian Bing (煎饼), known as Chinese crepe, is a folded savoury crepe from northern China. It is a crispy crepe stuffed with various spreads, a piece of crispy wonton cracker, grassy cilantro, peppery scallions, and any additional topping of your choice. It is one of the most popular breakfasts sold at street stalls in China.
Me and Crêpe 國子煎 is a chain restaurant started in China. Thank you very much @meandcrepe and @aericaish! We tried this famous Chinese crepe at the Richmond location.
Here are what we tried:
Peking Duck Crepe Combo
Crawfish Crepe Combo
Crispy Egg Wrap with Spicy Chicken
Sweet Tofu Soup
Overall, the crepe was unique and unforgettable. We particularly enjoyed the Tea Infused Egg 茶叶蛋, and there was a good amount of tea flavour in the eggs. It was a satisfying lunch. The quality of the food will keep us coming back!
Me and Crêpe 國子煎 has several locations available for dine-in or take-out service. You can find them at Richmond, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Kerrisdale, and Kitsilano.

Nothing like a cut out of Jay Chou to get you going for a Chinese breakfast! We came here because it was one of the only places of repute open early enough for our midday flight out of Vancouver. We got two crepes and a soy milk to share. The soy milk was a little on the sweet side, but overall everything was delicious. We weren't able to finish all of our food, and packed half of one of the crepes for later. We forgot all about it and ate it after our flight back home, and it was STILL DELICIOUS!

Made super fresh and the portion was huge! We got a little bit of spice and that was the perfect amount.

Cumin lamb crepe is the best! We also ordered the Peking duck crepe but it's not as yummy as the lamb one. I guess I'm picky about how I eat the duck. I also love their Classic Tofu Nao. They have a store in the Los Angeles area as well. Will go there when I'm craving for Chinese crepes.

Delicious, hot and fresh. These are savoury crepes, with duck or ham or sausage. I had the congee, a savory rice pudding with pork, and the spicy duck crepe. Every bite of the crepe was a burst of flavors and textures, with intriguing fragrant spicy after-notes in the meat. Really enjoyable and surprisingly filling.
