Unfortunately I am attempting to finish this review in 2024, long after visiting this establishment so I do not recall my visit here besides giving it 5/5 stars. So in my very trusted book of ratings, I'll be back and do a better job reviewing next time

Sat on the terrace for dinner. Nice ambiance with the fire pit. Their plants attract MANY bugs. They end up flying into your food and drinks.

There was only one person working the terrace. Food and drinks came out very slowly. I ordered the following

Kentucky Joe - very good cocktail. Expensive compared to other spots in the area
Caesar Salad + Fish - would not recommend. Caesar and the fish were tasteless. The fish was a barramundi. $31 all in. Probably was the highest priced item on the menu between $23 base salad and $8 fish add on.
Fries - good fries. Would recommend

There was a random 5% surcharge on the bill

I stayed at the Andaz this weekend and Mercantile Social was right in the hotel. We had a couple drinks and dessert here and they were delicious. I loved the seating in the lobby, and they have a nice outdoor terrace with fire pits. Great spot for a drink in downtown Napa!

Cocktails were great, staff was a little busy and food was not what I expected. Overall good but could be better.

We stayed at the Andaz a couple weekends ago and dropped into Mercantile Terrace (I think that's what the outdoor rooftop part of Mercantile Social is called) on both nights to see about getting a nightcap. On the Saturday night, it was a little too busy for how we were feeling (low energy after our very first day of travel with our toddler), so we tried again the next night, when it was considerably calmer. We were able to get comfortable seats under a cabana thing on the terrace.

The place was pretty nice, attractively put together with a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There was no wait at the bar at 9:00 on a Sunday, and the bartender was friendly and efficient. We got a couple of cocktails and enjoyed them in our seats. I had the Overdue Vacation, a sweet, summery mix of tequila, lemon, mango, pineapple, and Aperol. My husband had The Beehive, a refreshing cocktail of gin, lemon, ginger honey, and Amaro Montenegro.

We left after the one round, but we had a pleasant time, and I'd definitely recommend this bar to all Andaz guests. I'd also guess that it's one of the better spots for an evening drink in downtown Napa. If you're in the mood for a cocktail, the Mercantile Terrace is worth checking out.

Came here for post dinner drinks. We got there about 9pm and shockingly it was not crowded (July 4th weekend). There were lots of seats, but I can see it being popular during the day as it's a hip and trendy rooftop bar. I believe the area we sat at was called the Mercantile Terrace, and it has plenty of different sections to sit at; we got lucky and landed two seats right in front of the fireplace. There are no reservations; first come first served.

The drinks are really good but premium liquor can hurt your bank account. I ordered a dirty martini and it was $22. YIKES. All was good though. Would go back given the opportunity.

Service was definitely not lacking and the bartending game was on fleek. They do make a good drank!

Never received service. We came in and sat at the empty bar, but it was set up with menus and silverware rolls/plates so I believe it was open. No one every came behind the bar. The front desk woman saw us come in and sit down, sit for almost 10 minutes and leave, making eye contact with us multiple times during our visit and never said a word about where the bartender was to us. If she had let us know he was pulling stock or would be back we would have stayed and waited. We decided to head out and visited Sky & Vine, Cigar Bar and Arboretum before our dinner reservations at Bistro Don.

While walking by we saw a small sign about the 2nd floor patio. I suggested we go up and so glad everyone followed. The patio has vast seating choices (bar stools, cabana style, 4 tops, table and chairs etc) handful of servers, full bar. We had some libations and a quiet chat on a random Tuesday night. Worth a try. Enjoy!

Sequentially, this was going to be my 400th review--but it's getting bumped thanks to a certain pup at a new brewery in Suisun City.

Probably not the smartest last hop as everyone else was trying to get it in before 1am. I think that's probably the curfew in this town because the streets were pretty bare for a weekend.

That said, we were flyin' high by the end of the night. So high, I had ordered four Fernet 'with' Cokes instead of ending on a Fernet n chase note. That pushed our limit pretty good.

Mercantile's at the base of the Andaz hotel. Attracts a more speakeasy/artisinal crowd who enjoy their whiskies and flashy spirits with no real regard to price.

More of a bar to leave first impressions with than the drink itself. Not really our style but by all means if you have slacks and dress shoes on = go for it.

Came up to Napa for the holidays and found it difficult to find a restaurant open on Christmas Day so we made our way to the lobby of Andaz for a meal. Considering how pricey it is, I came in with high expectations.

We ordered the B.Y.O Burger, the Lobster Mac n Cheese (for 2 apparently), and the Fish and Chips.

The Burger: Was a generous portion, flavorful, and overall pretty solid. The sauce made the burger a bit soggy so it was slightly difficult to eat but nontheles still a solid dish.

Fish and Chips: The fish was a curious feat - it managed to feel crispy to the touch yet tasted almost soggy from the oil. Despite this, it had good flavor and the tarragon tartar sauce helped a lot. Fries were just standard.

Lobster Mac n Cheese: This is the one I had the highest hopes for. Even though the menu said that it was enough to feed 2, it came out in a little skillet that looked like it could feed one at most. They were generous with the lobster, but it was lacking in lots of flavor. This mac and cheese just felt like it was lacking.... cheese. Disappointing, especially at $30.

Overall, not the greatest experience despite Andaz being such a nice boutique hotel.

Lobster Mac and Cheese 'for 2'... not big enough.
