They were very helpful and highly informative. They made the process of leasing a car very accessible. The test drive was also very comprehensive (reviewing the features of the vehicle and even an opportunity to try some of the self driving features). I love the zip of our new car that was not the case with our Q-7.

I write this not for sympathy but to bring awareness to future customers who deal with Mercedes-Benz Oakland on 3093 Broadway. My car was stolen while in their possession and the circumstances of the theft are extremely suspicious. I brought my car to be serviced on a Friday afternoon for a routine check and oil change, only to be contacted by the Oakland Police Department two days later, Sunday afternoon, notifying me that my vehicle was stolen.
Some pertinent details of the theft, per Mercedes-Benz Oakland management: at the service shop, my vehicle was left unlocked, and the keys were accessible. "Someone" broke into the mechanic shop which is located a block away in a separate unmarked building on Webster Street (the mechanic shop is a different building than the showroom that customers drop their vehicles off for service. Customers drop their vehicle off at 3093 Broadway and a Mercedes-Benz employee takes the vehicle to the mechanic shop located on Webster Street). The thief arrived on a bicycle Sunday morning, went through multiple doors and locks and was able to simply drive my vehicle out of the mechanic shop. Note, my vehicle was the only vehicle stolen.
I believe this theft raises many questions. These are a few of the many questions I have. Why was the vehicle left unlocked? Why were the vehicle's keys not in a safe? The building where Mercedes-Benz services the vehicles is unmarked, why was someone so determined to go through multiple locks of an unmarked warehouse (Per Mercedes-Benz management, the thief picked multiple locks in order to gain access to the vehicle). Why was my vehicle the only one stolen? Why (to my knowledge) has Mercedes Benz of Oakland not investigated any of their employees? Through email, I have requested the surveillance video of the theft that management claims they have but received no such surveillance video.
I live in Oakland, work in Oakland and love Oakland. Please do not construe this as an anti-Oakland or a renunciation of my great City. This is solely a rebuke of Mercedes-Benz at 3093 Broadway which just happens to be in Oakland. This is a denunciation for their negligence that led up to the theft and a denunciation for their disinterest after the theft in taking steps to prevent this from happening to another customer. The Mercedes-Benz of Oakland insurance has agreed to pay for the fair market value of the stolen vehicle. This is not a money grab. I only wish to bring awareness to my situation so more Oaklanders don't fall victim and have to go through the hoops I had to go through.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 29, 2023
I never expected to buy from oakland mb. First, there are 2 dealerships closer to where i live and 2nd, the initial quotes i got from those dealerships are already great. However, i knew there was still something missing with the deal that they gave me so i gave oakland a try by visiting their website.
Next thing i knew, i was in contact with Romey. Everything was just done through text. He gave me a very competitive interest rate and matched the discount i was going to get from the other dealership.
What really set him apart was he kept pushing for what I want and he was easy to talk to. He gave me the deal i prefer and gave him my time in return to meet in person. I was worried for a second that numbers will change once i am in their dealership, but i got what i expected.
I spoke with Romey for only a couple days and got eveyrthing lined up right away. He is upfront whether he can do it or not.
I was happy with my new car! And i thank Romey for that.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - T. Gravenstein V.CA, CA1433Apr 19, 2024
Just had first service. Why they want Google reviews is a mystery.
Great Shop. Good people. Knowledge service writers. Ms. Ponti is super. Thanks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 23, 2023Updated review
We worked with Rome from Mercedes Benz Oakland again for a new vehicle and he continues to carry the unparalleled service recognized with the Mercedes brand!
He is thorough in explaining the process, knowledgeable in the vehicles, worked with us diligently regarding the financials and again even took the time to personally deliver our vehicle to us in Sacramento while taking our trade-in with him.
Thank you to Rome and Mercedes Benz Oakland for the amazing service and dedication to your customers! We would not hesitate to purchase or lease again in the future with such a great team.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 23, 2020Previous reviewI worked with Sales Consultant, Rome, and he delivered phenomenal service!
My fiancé and I contacted him as soon as we left the hospital following the delivery of our baby. We were frustrated to find that my BMW 330i became very cramped when we added the car seat in there, and we wanted something larger for our growing family that also provided us more safety with our baby in mind.
Two days later, he found us the perfect vehicle to trade with that also offered a phenomenal financial deal. We signed and he delivered same-day, even driving it to us in Sacramento from Oakland after hours. Truly 5 star service!
We are INCREDIBLY impressed with our experience working with both Rome and Mercedes Benz of Oakland. The service is indeed unparalleled. We are looking forward to being long term clients and utilizing all of the perks of joining the Mercedes Benz family.
Thank you, Rome and Mercedes Benz of Oakland! - Peter W.Walnut Creek, CA05Aug 9, 2024
These guys jerked me around... telling me that they would pick up my lease and at the last minute saying they would not, creating a huge inconvenience. They sell luxury cars but do NOT provide luxury customer service.

My husband and I visit this dealership very often as we purchase parts for our vehicles and use their car service department. We always have a fantastic experience with the security guards Chris and Charlie. Their professionalism and attentiveness really stood out to us. We always feel safe and secure throughout our visit and their friendly demeanor added to the overall pleasant experience.. I highly recommend this dealership for their exceptional security measures and outstanding customer service.

If you're looking to purchase a Mercedes, do yourself a favor and go to a different dealership - this one has the integrity of a seedy used-car dealership.
A vehicle my wife and I had been eyeing was recently marked down on the website (despite an SA telling me previously that car would never be marked down). My wife called and offered (very clearly) a flat number, saying if they accepted, we would sign for the car today. The SA consulted with the GSM, Claudia Cook, who agreed to the price. We were told everything could be done remotely to place a hold on the car and we could pick up the car the next day, once I was back from the East Coast over the weekend.
Despite this, the sales tactics continued, "this is a race to whoever can get the credit application in fastest we have multiple people filling out applications right now you need to hurry".
Fine, we're used to sales tactics, don't know why its necessary but onwards we go. We've agreed to a price so let's just get the deal done. The credit app was filled out in minutes, under my name. Then, the shadiness began. The SA went to clear the paperwork with Claudia, and then changed his tone. He asked my wife to come into the shop, said they needed signatures in person. Why we asked, when "you just told us everything could be done remotely?" Not to mention, she's 8 months pregnant and shouldn't be driving anywhere.
"We just do, it's California law" claimed the SA. Fine, we arranged transportation from SF to Oakland for the paperwork. However, I was feeling suspicious, and asked her to confirm pricing before she made the trip. An hour went by, and the SA finally responded and said, "oh turns out Claudia misheard me and agreed to a number $500 more" "This car is so hot we have so many interested buyers it won't last past today"
There is absolutely zero chance she misheard anything. I immediately knew she had recognized my name on the credit app, and was now trying to squeeze me for more as a few weeks earlier I had offered that amount. The SA tried another sales tactic, which I've heard from this dealership multitude of times from different SAs "Don't let $500 come between you and the car you've been wanting for weeks and had put in an offer for". He then lied a few minutes later, stating "we didn't even know you liked this car before today". We countered and asked them to throw in all-weather mats, and they left us on read, and would not respond to phone calls.
If you're going to lie, be slicker about it. If you're going to renege on pricing, then you're worse than a Carmax. It's not about $500, it's about treating your patrons with disrespect, and destroying any potential relationship for a buyer who could be purchasing a lifetime of vehicles.
Poor service, zero integrity, and absolutely rude to their customers. We ended up buying a much better car from Benz of San Francisco and the level of service at the SF dealership was night and day better. Meanwhile, the original car at Oakland remained unsold for over a week. Unless there is a used vehicle on the lot here you absolutely must have, save yourself time, headache, and hard-earned capital and go elsewhere.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0 - David G.Alameda, CA051Feb 12, 2024
I researched about 4 brands and finally settled upon the Mercedes-
Benz SUV of my dreams. The salesman, Romey, was knowledgeable and attentive. I liked him a lot. As was the Sales manager, Dearan. Then I had lessons from Ted on all the various and sundry fetures that are built into my new SUV. This is a great dealership, eveyone was so friendly.
I can Highly recommend Mercedes-Benz of Oakland.

I recently got a new car and worked with Angelic, Romey and Moe. They were all amazing and made the process really seamless. I don't live nearby so the majority of our communication was over the phone but Romey was so responsive and very patient. Whenever I had a question he answered the call or text. They all did such a great job making sure my car was delivered to me before I left out of town. If you're looking for a car and great customer service, this is where you need to come!
