This exclusive treat features a proprietary donut bun, filled with our artisanal handcrafted ice cream, warmed on a custom heat press, sealed, cut into halves, and then adorned with your preferred toppings, along with a drizzle of sauce. It boasts a delightful combination of warmth on the outside, cold on the inside, and overall deliciousness. In addition to the classic, we offer alternative bun options such as our popular Ube Pandesal and Mexican conchas. Hyped up, but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't squeal from excitement trying Milkbomb. A definite 'Must Try' if you LOVE ice cream & are into very aesthetically pleasing food photos. A definite dessert place to hit up in SF!

Location- It's so tiny! It's right next to Peet's Coffee, inside the tiny little area near the apartment area. Their interiour is tiny, and bonus points for the realistic but cute melted ice cream cone toy on the floor as you walk in. There's also small tables on the outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream.

I was excited to try their Ube & Red Velvet cones, but it was unfortunately sold out/not available that day. I ended up ordering the Jay Zea & Champagne Papi from their special exotic flavors in between their Red Velvet donut ice cream sandwich. You can order up to 2 different types of ice cream in between the donut of choice, which is perfect for the indecisive soul like me.

The Jay Zea- (Where's the Beyonce??? Hehe) Has a strong tea flavor & I would highly recommend if you or a friend love Asian flavored things. My friend, who originally wasn't planning to order anything admitted she ended up getting a cone here because it was too good for her to pass up. Definitely one I'd recommend if you love a strong tea flavor!

Their Champagne Papi was also equally delicious, with a lightly sweet champagne sorbet taste to it. I also was not let down by this flavor, and I thought it was a pretty unique choice of ice cream offered. Another recommend.

I couldn't really speak on how fresh the donuts they used were, but honestly I can't complain- they sandwich the ice cream held in between nicely, deliciously, & were soft. I ordered the Red Velvet donuts to hold my ice cream choices inside and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

ALSO, BONUS POINTS FOR HAVING FIVESTAR REWARDS HERE. Definitely sign up & earn more points to earn freebies/ice cream here!

My first of 2 minor complaints was that they got my topping order wrong- I had asked for Rainbow Mochi and Fruity Pebbles but they mistook the last half of my order and gave me Cocoa Pebbles instead. I got too excited and walked off before I realized the error, and the line was growing rapidly, but it was still delicious. Also they have a free topping check in here if you use Yelp!

My last minor complaint was that I really wish they offered at least free water cups here. The ice cream is pretty sweet, and I know while they do sell water and other drinks here, I guess I'm just used to courtesy water from other ice cream shops.

The customer service here is also amazing. Granted, I came here the minute they opened (1:30ish) but the people who opened were really friendly & informative with the ice cream flavors there. They also allowed my friends & I to sample as many flavors as you like, even though there was a huge line starting to pile up behind us.

I'd completely recommend Milkbomb & I absolutely adore it here. Though their location is tiny, they pack one hell of a punch for their ice cream & I'd definitely come back. A part of me hopes they expand and bring out another location sometime in the future that's in a more populated area, as I'm sure they'd do really well. But a 10/10 recommend, and I'd come back again soon!

Staff is super sweet and considerate. They accidentally gave me the wrong flavor and then offered to give me an extra one for compensation

This hole in the wall spot is perfect whatever you're craving ice cream or dessert!

Just a warning that it is a one-man show and everything is made to order so be prepared for a longer wait time especially when there's multiple people in line.

Every single time I've been here there is always a longer line but that's a good sign.

We got a scoop of ice cream and a selection of flavors include majority Asian inspired flavors but as well as the classics. We didn't get to try the sandwich, but that will be on my list for the next time!

Mike and his team always have a smile on their faces to go with the smile on my face while I'm savoring* my ice cream. :-)

I've lived in San Francisco for about 5 years. Not trying this place sooner is a massive regret.
My friend came earlier and didn't love the ice cream with the bread, so he wasn't excited to come back. But we were in the area anyways, and I've never had it. When he had the ice cream alone... he regretted his words. We came here three times in one weekend, and we do not eat ice cream or dessert like that. It's that good. I drive here from San Bruno or sunset district, it's worth the traffic and drive.
The employees are amazing. The lines may be long, but WORTH IT-they're long for a reason.
I had to go back today for their pints. Will probably be back tomorrow....

I have lived in the area and somehow never gone to Milkbomb. What a mistake! It is frustrating how good this is and how friendly the service is.

They had playful banter with my 6 year old, made her a wonderful sprinkle topped cone.

I told them to surprise me in my ice cream sandwich order, only requesting that one has marshmallow. So good! I ate the entire thing in a minute. Great contrast of hot and cold, smooth and crunchy.

      I'll be back!

First time here and this place is the bomb indeed!

I got the sandwich with a scoop of butter bricker(?) and brownie fudge. The bun part of the sandwich is warm and so good!!

The only part that was not ideal is the warm toasty bun melts the ice cream super quickly, so I couldn't fully enjoy my ice cream but rather slurp it up as soon as I can before it all melted. (Probs less than 5 mins)

But the service is fantastic and I don't think I've ever appreciated the person who handed me the ice cream more than the ice cream before today!!!

Came by for a quick ice cream scoop. Arrived around opening as the operations is small and wait times can build up. While small, the business is mighty and delivers a very unique product - the Milkbomb Sandwich. As mentioned, only opted for a single scoop. Very unique flavors, many with Asian influence. Opted for something truly unique - ube s'mores. First bite and the s'more flavor really kicked in. Well balanced, sweet, but not too sweet. Ube came in next to round out the flavor. Service is friendly and authentic. You can tell a lot of work goes into making each product.

I loved this hot & cold combo of sweet goodness. I can't wait for more. Sweet brioche donut, and ice cream!

The owners were super nice & sweet. They gave me great tips as it was my first time, and surprised me with a first time discount.

Take out only, but there are some patio seatings in this area. Street parking is available too.

They ask how you like the fluff to be toasted. I asked for extra toasted - exactly how I like it.

No wait on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm, and easy to get street parking near the park next door. Loved our creation with the toffee brittle ice cream and fruity pebbles (aside from the banana rocky road which was a little too banana-y for my liking). Would definitely come back again to try more flavors!
