Milltown Bar & Grill

Really nice place to grab a burger and drinks with friends! It was a beautiful day with sunny weather so eating on the patio could be nice. The restaurant is a little secluded right next to the river.

During a soccer *ahem* I mean "football" match, it's best to sit inside among the multitude of large screen TVs. It also helps there was a heat wave.

I went here for a work dinner so there was a sizeable group of us. Service was slightly delayed...but totally understandable. (There was a large crowd for the game and our party had multiple tables.)

The Milltown Burger with mushrooms was delicious! My mouth is watering just remembering it. I definitely recommend it.

I bookmarked Milltown just in case I come back to Vancouver!

I have waited to write this review as this has been a favourite of ours for many years, but the last 4 times we have left with a comment to ourselves - remind me not to order that again. On the list, Prime Rib, Turkey sandwich, Eggs Benedict (the worst I have ever had anywhere) and last night our bill was over $130 for three of us. Only one of us had a drink. The reason was that we had to order more food as the portions (fries specifically) were so small.

I really hope that management takes this as constructive, and fixes the food.

It will be a while before we come back I am afraid.

Thursday 8 pm = trivia night. Trivia night was GREAT. So fun and well-organized.

Milltown is in a really interesting location in this industrial area right around YVR. Plenty of parking. I heard they put out outdoor seating spaces in the summer with lights, which I can assume is very pretty.

All of us in the group got burgers and they were fine. Nothing to be mind blown about. It was nice that we could modify the sides to truffle fries or yam fries with a small fee. I think of the all the burgers, the salmon burger was probably the best one there. Service was quick and professional, but nothing spectacular.

The worst prime rib I have experienced in sometime. The meat was tough and chewy., even though I ordered medium, it came well done. The price is ok but is mandatory to order a cocktail with the meal which brings the total price back to around $40. I don't think I will be returning any time soon.

MillTown Bar & Grill in Richmond has a really tasty Burnt Ends (pork belly) appy and a juicy mushroom burger called the "Tug Boat" Burger. To wash all that down, I got their Spicy MillTown Caesar drink too. The place had fun music from a live DJ, and the server kept coming around to make sure we were okay. I recommend it!

Gem of a restaurant! Food is consistently good with lots of selection for various dietary needs. Great atmosphere right on Fraser River. Easy access from bike path as well as free parking.

So it's certainly out of the way, but good eats at a reasonable price await in this hidden gem!

I ordered the Milltown Burger ($18) and it came with tomatoes, lettuce, onions and a slice of pickle; adding sautéed mushrooms for $1.50 made it better.

What's nice is that your side can be half fries and half house salad for $1.50, making the meal a little lighter or more guilt-free :)

Nothing special per se but it was good and professional.

It's definitely a bar of course but what's neat is the "sun room" area where you can sit and get lots of natural light. Likely better in winter as in the summer it gets a little warm. Wheelchairs and baby strollers are no issue here, as are groups of any size. The parking lot is tremendous, so parking should not ever be an issue!

Great food and service. Fairly good size portions. We had 8 and enjoyed the patio outside section. Great weather helped. All satisfactory.

An interesting take on a tuna club for lunch today! Seared tuna in the middle of a sandwich with nice fixings, but physically difficult to eat from a bite size and stringy-ness factor. Great location and a lot of tables enjoying the sunshine outside.

After walking the Arbutus walkway, we decided a patio lunch is a must! The views from this pub is just spectacular, especially on a sunny day like today. The waitress seated us after a short wait. Not long after that we got what we came for, our favourite Tugboat burgers. I've been here numerous times and the food & service have always been consistent & good
