Mister Chimney Cleaning & Repairs | Nova Fireplaces

We've used Mister Chimney in the past for cleaning our chimney, so when we moved to a new home, we called them up to inspect our new one.

They noted that our ash door and damper were missing.

Adrian came out on time for the appointment, completed the cleaning, and installed a new damper along with an ash door. He also did a great job at making sure he cleaned up once he was done.

We'll definitely have them out again for the next cleaning and would highly recommend them for wood burning chimney needs.

I had Nova Fireplaces install a gas fireplace insert a while back. I thought the workers did a decent job. They had a challenging time drilling through the flooring to connect the gas line. I hope all is well under the house.

The part I wasn't happy about was the top they secured to the chimney for venting. It was crimped on and looked very sloppy imo. The owner Martin assured me that it wouldn't leak, but every time I saw it, I had to wonder, so I discussed it with Martin again.

He decided to get a piece fabricated to fit on the top of the chimney instead of what was on there currently. I can say it looks much better now and more importantly, leak proof.

I give Nova Fireplaces 5 stars based on Martin providing excellent customer service and doing his best to deliver his product with the customer's satisfaction as his priority.

Erica reached out shortly after with a price quote and availability. On the day of, two men came with equipment and cleared out the chimney within 30 mins. I was concerned it would be a more extensive job, due to the home being at least ten years ago and we were unsure when it was last cleaned. Fortunately for us, Gerardo assured us that our chimney was in good shape and was not backed up or anything.

I would like to note that they charge a small fee for using credit card, so plan ahead to have a personal check or cash on-hand.

I just moved into a rental apartment which has a gas fireplace. Pretty quickly, I could tell the gas fireplace had been hardly ever (or never) cleaned -- it was quite sooty/dusty and grimy. Based on the reviews, I reached out for a cleaning here. They were very responsive over Yelp and gave a fair quote. A couple days later, they came out and did an exceptional job cleaning it. It looks good as new, and is actually pleasant to look at now (and it works better too). They even did a paint touch up on the black interior.

We requested our chimney cleaned in San Mateo, and was giving a good price. Dispatch, Erica Morales i think is her name was very polite and professional. When the technicians arrived, they put tarps down, so our floors would not get damaged. That was a big bonus to be honest. Martin, the field manager is very knowledgeable along with Robert his gas department technician. If you want clean, honest and good quality work, this is the company to go with.

I have a gas fireplace that wasn't working very well. The gas flow was so low that you could barely notice the flames. I had the fireplace serviced by Nova Fireplaces, and now it's working great. They were friendly, professional, on time, fixed the fireplace, spruced up the appearance of the fireplace, rearranged the logs, cleaned the glass, and then cleaned up the area around the fireplace. Now everything looks great, and works perfectly. Thank you Nova Fireplaces!

Mister Chimney has performed seasonal maintenance on our fireplace for years. They are reliable and effective, and reasonably priced vs. the market.

During one of these annual check ups, Mister Chimney's team also identified a crack in our chimney. We had no idea and it would have been a significant safety risk, so we were very grateful that they caught it! Luckily, they were able to fix it for us quickly and at a fair rate.
