      I got lucky today. My forced air heating furnace quit a few weeks ago. I called John Owens Service who sent two technicians, on two separate calls, both of which declared the gas valve inoperable. With the first diagnosis I replace the valve and called for a technician to install it. He did but the system still didn't work. Then he dismantled everything, left all the parts on the floor of my utility closet and charged me for a service call. I called the Owens company to make the repair but they refused to do it. Clueless...Then I called Moore Home Service and lucky for me, they had a cancellation this afternoon and sent Nick out to make the repair. It turns out that Nick is one of the oldest employees with the company and he is very knowledgeable. He reassembled the parts, installed the new valve and then went through a series of tests, a process of elimination, to find the problem. During the process he checked the manifold, cleared the orifices of residual build up, pulled the burners and serviced them and had it back together and working in no time. He figured out what two technicians couldn't from John Owens Services. John Owens Service was an expensive mistake; I spent over $450 and never got the unit repaired. Nick got it right the first time. He's on my Hero's List!!

      To the Moore Home Services manager,
      I want to tell you about my experience with the technician who came to my house yesterday to do the AC check at 1647 Center Road, Novato.
      Jeff Gregory is exemplary. Since my initial meeting with him several years back, his thoroughness, professionalism, kindness, attention to teaching me, and all-around helpfulness to me as an 80-year old widowed homeowner, has been a real gift to me.
      He does not miss a single opportunity to be of service to me in doing the job he came to do. Since he was the person who compassionately notified me of the way my AC and heating ducts had been ravaged by rats, he checks to make sure all of that area, in the crawl space as well as the attic, are looking good. Moore replaced my ducts and did a wonderful job.
      Jeff is warm and funny, and it truly feels like he is part of my family. My kids feel like they know Jeff though they have never met him. He seems to love his job, though I imagine he would probably capitalize on any job he might have in life as an opportunity to spread his generous spirit.
      Thank you for sending him to my home for the AC check this month.

      Excellent customer service, Alex and Vincent were super personable and communicative. I am busy with work during the day and it's hard to accommodate these kinds of visits...these guys did their assessment and were kind and respectful and even offered to change my light bulbs . Painless and I was able to work at the same time.

      Another five star review for Moore Home Services.

      Emanuel was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. As with all Moore techs, he donned booties before entering my home. Nice touch. In addition, he was polite and didn't mind my questions.

      It turned out that the HVAC periodic inspection turned into something that he could not handle on the spot. He was gracious and explained everything thoroughly. It was not Emanuel's or Moore's fault that the situation could not be remedied immediately.

      Since it is a new system, it is my contractor's responsibility to make the system be within spec. Once I get everything back to normal, Moore will be my first call for HVAC service. I hope Emanuel is the service tech.

      I will call Moore again; you should too!

      My name is John Boyer and I'm shocked that I now have to compose a deeply revised review from my previous two 5 star reviews of Moore. I had previously always found them to be an incredibly reliable and honest company. However, as a regular monthly paying long time member I reached out to them to have the Honeywell Thermostat that they sold me and installed fixed. The unit was suddenly drastically off in reporting outdoor temperature.

      I was shocked when the lady who took the call said my unit would absolutely not be addressed and there was no obligation on their part to do so! I told her that their own website guaranteed that products they install would be supported. Shockingly, she told me there's no such thing on their site! I asked her who was the current President/CEO of the company because I wanted to speak to him/her. She REFUSED to answer! I then said I would like for a supervisor to call me.

      Well, one did and he was quite pleasant. He said he actually listened to my call with her and he was appalled at what he heard too! He said the call was not handled professionally by their standards at all. He apologized and assured me someone would call me later that day to arrange for a repair/replacement. Bottom line . . . absolutely no one ever called me back. I waited for days and still no call. I then wrote to them expressing my disappointment that my loyalty was so easily thrown away after all these years of me faithfully paying and told them I was done. Guess I'll now have to find another company.

      We needed a new toilet because of sewage backup in bathroom. Since we have a "membership discount" which we pay monthly for, we called Moore. They disconnected old toilet and left it with sewage hole exposed and poop around the flange. At my request, the old toilet was moved out, and it was put in bathtub (still with poop). We ordered new toilet. Moore was going to leave an open raw sewage hole in the bathroom, so I asked them to cover it so it was safe from our cats. Moore stuffed a dirty towel in the hole instead of sealing it.

      That was exactly two weeks ago today. New toilet never came in while they stood me up for twice for two hour windows without calling us. They did apologize and comped the toilet. Today, a new toilet was delivered but without a toilet seat. Then Moore told us it had what they thought was a small crack in it, but turned out to be bigger. Apparently, Moore was going to install a new toilet with a small crack in it. TWO WEEKS and five scheduled 2-hour windows of time later ... no toilet.

      This raw sewage hole was left in our bathroom for 12 days before Moore sealed it.
      I covered theirpoopy towel with a clean one of my own.

      i have been a Club Member for a few years and found Moore adequate for routine maintenance, but when I really needed help with an ac problem , they were unable to figure it out.
      After paying for 2 ineffective visits ---in addition to paying the monthly membership for many months---i called and spoke to them to cancel my membership. I also requested the refund of the visits in which they were unable to solve the problem.
      The cost of one visit was refunded but I have been trying for weeks to get the second promised refund. Phone calls and emails go unanswered. I cannot recommend this company !!

      Two technicians, Wyatt and Kody, came out today from Moore Home Services to fix an AC problem we were having as part of Northern California's current heatwave. They had to go into our crawl space, the entrance to which is in a packed closet. I'm about to have two days of major spine surgery and can't bend or lift, and they very willingly unpacked the closet, did the job then packed everything back in there. They were both exceptionally nice and friendly and it was a pleasure having them around. They fixed the AC problem and were extremely thorough and professional. It was great meeting them and wonderful to have truly reliable, friendly service.

      Wow! And not a good Wow!

      I have two rental units without heat for past two days. Can't find problem. Kind of an emergency at this point.

      Called my realtor who recommended Moore Home Services. I spoke to Devin this morning. She told me "same day". Then took 15 min to collect all my info. Credit card, address, email, etc...THEN she tells me they can't come until NEXT FRIDAY.

      I get it. The old bait-n-switch. If this is how they train their employees to take advantage of clients, I want nothing to do with them.

      Shame on you Devon md Shane on you Moore Home Services.

      I had Moore come out to install a whole house fan and oh man I am so glad I did. Not only is the end result that the house is so much cooler at night but the whole experience from quote to completion was first class. David came out to inspect and provide a quote and was so knowledgeable and professional. Quoted very quickly and communicated very well. Then when it came to install Ira did an amazing job. He was so professional quick and competent it was great. He took a lot of pride in his work and cleaned up great after he finished. I would definitely use Moore again and you should too.
