Some of the best doctors in Manhattan but takes some significant wait times... Often booked for months ahead of time and not always convenient.

No inside pictures to protect patient info, but definitely had some great experts. Haven't visited most departments, though, so leaving it at 3 stars for now.

I like my doctor here, so that's what keeps me coming back.

Administratively, it kind of a mess. The people at the front desk are very nice and accomodating and do really try to help you, but it seems there is a weird series of red tape and protocols they need to jump through.

Also, to schedule an appointment is months out. It's sort of frustrating for some more urgent-but-not-emergency-sitiuations.

Horrible wait times. Made a 95 year old man wait in the lobby and all they could say is oh well. They over book and over charge. I find this to be a bit rude to keep a 95 year old person out like that. If you come here expect a one hour wait. You might actually retire by the time you are seen by the cardiologist.
Horrible cash pigs. All they care about is $$

A fifteen minute take 4 hrs.

This morning, Martiza was scheduled for an 8:45am appointment and arrived at around 8am. She was assisted and registered immediately by the front desk representative at the location at 234 East 85th Street. A full hour passed before Maritza approached the front desk for assistance around 9:30am. The front desk representative was shocked that she was not seen by the doctor yet. The nurse finally showed up, acting as if she had been put to great inconvenience. Maritza calmly asked "why wasn't she seen sooner?". The nurse was rude and responded "what do you think? Do you think you will be seen right away?" This response is disrespectful, unprofessional and does not align with your company's values. Maritza asked to see the supervisor to report a complaint about the nurse and the waiting time to be seen. She was told by the front desk "the supervisor was on vacation". In addition, Maritza waited in the doctor's office for Dr. Donna Gagliuso as the doctor approached the office, she did not close the door for the consultation which she seems to only do with my mother at all times. Each patient has the right to privacy by law. Maritza is being discriminated against and treated unfairly compared to other patients. Furthermore, Maritza wanted to report the complaint to Dr. Gagliuso. After Maritza was able to report the complaint, Dr. Gagliuso stated "you can change to another doctor". This statement is unprofessional to say to a patient who was treated unfairly, waited for the doctor's services and to be mistreated for advocating for herself. What kind of services are being provided to patients at your clinic?

For several years Maritza has experienced rude, discriminative, unprofessional treatment from the front desk and Dr. Gagliuso. Maritza has been a respectful, loyal and supportive patient at Mt. Sinai.

Beware of these front desk representatives at this location.

      2.5 stars.

After dealing with a previous incompetent doctor, contracting Covid-19 in 2020, needing to go over blood work numbers, as well as an annual physical / check-up, I devoted some time earlier in the year to find a new (and improved) doctor and overall doctor office experience.

Lo and behold, enter Mt Sinai Doctors.

Here are the pros and cons.

      PROS:
      - Good location (for me anyway, accessible by the 6 train, UES-ish)
      - Seamless appointment booking process online, filled out all forms prior and confirmed appointment and insurance
      - No wait time - was checked in by a nice enough staff member within minutes of arriving.

      CONS:
      - Nurse was pretty awful - yelled my name to enter and follow her in the back, as she sprinted through the maze-like, windowless medical suite. She was undeniably curt, unfriendly and just barked my way the info she needed for my chart.
      - While Dr. Debbie Goodman, MD was polite and sweet enough, I couldn't help but still feel rushed and just on a patient mill, just onto the next patient. We briefly discussed some concerns I had, and there was little substance to her answers. I also brought my chart from my old MD, and we were able to go over it.

Again, she was pleasant enough, but I didn't truly feel heard or understood fully. I had some other questions I didn't even get the chance to ask. And when I had a question regarding the vax and fertility, she gave me a referral to the OBGYN floor. (Which I appreciated, I suppose, as I will have to go and follow up there I guess.)

I went from a horrible bedside manner doctor to a slightly better, but more rushed doctor / experience. I left feeling slightly frustrated.

Why is it so hard for doctors to take their time? To really LISTEN to the patient? I know it's not an easy job, but this is the reality of so many "regular" people - they don't feel like they are truly seen, heard and understood in medical needs. Surely BETTER medical care IS without a doubt possible in this country of ours.

Amazing staff! Very professional and nice location!

Location: it is located in Upper East Side, the clinic is nice. The interior was very clean with a lot of seating. This is few blocks from F/M and Q train.

Employees: the front desk was okay and fast, you have to check in on their ipad and that's it. I sat down for 2 mins and I was called already. :) The medical assistants are knowledgeable about the vital signs, blood work and follow ups.

MD Czernik (Dermatology): Amazing doctor! Very professional! I felt comfortable discussing my concerns. She explains well the disease and treatment needed and follow ups.

I always go here for dermatology because I felt they treat the patients well.

Made an appointment for an exam only to later be told that the slot wasn't available and that the doctor apparently only does surgeries. Waste of time.

I have only seen my own primary doctor once more and I called to inquire and see if it would be possible to get a prescription for something relating to a tattoo. After getting a call back (which only took a few minutes in all fairness), the lady I spoke to was rude and hung up abruptly at the end. I normally don't even write reviews, but there was no reason to be rude when I had a simple question. Otherwise, my experience with them hasn't been horrible, although I did notice the first time I went the handful of people who were claiming to have been waiting for hours.

I started going here because the location is super convenient. The office is nice, but that's about all the positives.

Online appointment booking system is extremely shitty. You can only book online ONE kind of appointment with a doctor you have previously visited.

Staff is also unhelpful. My insurance was changed at the beginning of the year, and I didn't have the new information on hand. No one called prior to my appt to confirm the insurance, resulting in me missing my appointment.

Billing is sketchy. I just received a $25 refund with no explanation. I also had an online appointment last March. They tried to bill me $600 because the insurance on file was outdated - without even asking me for my new insurance info. I only figured it out when I got the "final notice".

I'm not very inclined to go to other Mt Sinai locations because I will have to deal with the same shitty website. Advice to management? Use a damn vendor for appointment booking if you don't know how to make a website. It's 2021 for Christ's sake.

If you're a new patient and you made an appointment via their online system, you definitely want to read this review because no one working there is gonna give you the courtesy to break the bad news to you: your appointment doesn't exist.

Made an appointment (or I thought I did) in mid-January for the next available appointment that I could make, which was March 7. Long time, but okay, I get that we're living in a time of covid and things are complicated. On March 4, I thought it was odd that I hadn't heard from them (often doctors' offices remind patients of upcoming appointments) so I called them. I was told that the doctor with whom I'd made the appointment was not accepting new patients and that they were "having problems with the online system." So... my appointment that I'd been waiting 2 months for didn't even exist. And no one bothered to notify me.

WOW. But surely someone there must have seen the appointment that I booked, right? No one called to say "hey, sorry, but this doctor isn't accepting new patients"? Or how about, I don't know, stop making the online system available? Sorry but that's a HUGE F-up.
