Mountain Lake Playground

Great park toddler and big kid play area lots of grassy play areas as well and a little lake beach my kids love it here

Fantastic playground with separated areas for little kids and bigger ones. All the equipment is fairly new and seems thoughtfully designed. Lots of fun to be had with varying surfaces and structures to get all the wiggles out. It was pretty busy last weekend, but still didn't feel overcrowded. The play area overlooks Mountain Lake which is more like a pond, but still a nice view. Some (annoying) freeway noise can be heard, but I almost didn't notice it over all the squeals of delight.

In a neighborhood with lots of options for play, Mountain Lake Playground is our absolute favorite. The toddler area is well designed to keep littles corralled, and benches between sections offer excellent sight lines for parents watching several kiddos. The big kids elements are thoughtfully designed and encourage creative play, balance, and problem solving. The real highlight is the two-storey concrete slide, which I think is the best San Francisco has to offer! Parking is a little tricky and if you're coming by car you may have to walk a few blocks, but I think this is definitely the best playground on the entire north side of the city.

Great local playground. I love that there's a separate area for toddlers. Everything seems clean and well-maintained. I also love that there's no sand, so it's a relatively "neat" place for my son to run around.

One of the best playgrounds I have ever been to! This is a great safe places for kids to try different kinds of obstacle courses, swings, and a super fun cement slide. The scenery is also beautiful, as it is on Mountain Lake.

Big playground finally open with lots to do. Worth a visit. Toddler area and area for kids 5-12 nicely separated. Overlooks lake.
