Move Square

We used their moving service from San Diego to LA. Although we contacted Move Square at the last minute (the other mover we organized cancelled on us 4 days before), these guys were professional.

They came on time with a heads up via a text & call. Although the whole move process took a little longer than expected, the crew smoothly finished the move. No damages to furniture or loss. They even took empty boxes and some other trash.

We gave them generous tips and they also appreciated.

We will definitely consider using Move Sqaure again in the future. Well done

Even though the movers were a little bit late, once arrived they have reviewed all the inventory quickly to decide best loading action.

The guys were super respectful and very cautious about all my furniture, everything survived the move perfectly.

They did not waste time on the clock, they were in and out for a really fair price.

Will use them again anytime I move.

This review is very delayed, but I saw that I had started this in my yelp drafts, so I figured I'd finish.

Not gonna lie, I was really worried about being able to find movers for my parents' move. Not only did they have a large home full (really, really full) of furniture and other items/decor they've accumulated over the years, they also were on a quick timeline and needed someone right away.

I did the typical yelp search for quotes from movers. From the beginning, Move Square was really speedy and helpful with their responses. I never waited more than an hour for a response and as little as 10 minutes for one!

On moving day, the crew made sure to keep us updated when they were on their way, etc. I really appreciated these notifications, thank you!

We hired two trucks and a six men crew and each person was absolutely amazing! Kevin, Will, Jovanni, Alejan, Victor are a few of the members I remember, but all were so positive and super hardworking :)

They were very diligent and worked until the job got done, which - due to the amount of stuff we had - was kind of late. We appreciated their hard work and willingness to go the extra mile.

Move Square Movers were pretty awesome! There was a little miscommunication about where the Pick-up location was. They accidentally went to my new location, vice my current location, which caused a slight delay in their arrival but once they arrived, Elan and his partner were very efficient and professional. They got right down to business and got everything packaged and loaded onto the truck and moved to my new Apartment very quickly. They were a delight to work with and I highly recommend this Company to do your next Move!

Do No Use Them! They are careless, snapped a foot off of my couch as putting it in the truck and that was the first price moved! O said he was going to order a new one and have it delivered to me, still waiting for it 18 months later. And they stated they would pack my stuff for me, I asked if the packing materials were included and was told yes. Then they arrived without the packing materials! O arrived with the materials but now said the boxes were extra. Wait, what? I would have gotten my own boxes at 1/2 the price if I had not been told they were included! So no, call someone else.

Easy to work with. They were a lot of help moving everything to and from. Covered all my furniture and showed up to the second location really quick. Best pricing on yelp, even helped me get my live fish into my car which isn't something movers normally help with.

Diego, Alan, and Vitaly worked on our move from San Diego to Los Angeles. We had a very straightforward move from 8am-4:30pm. We took care of disassembling furniture and packing fragile and loose items prior to the move which really helped make the move more efficient. They were able to pack some of the larger items. They worked hard the entire time, were open to our request, and friendly. At times one of the guys was a little less aware of his surroundings, but Diego helped manage the team to make sure we stayed on track and got the items out carefully. Overall, it was a great experience for us.

Maybe the Move Square people that moved us were imposters b/c our experience could not be more opposite than those with positive reviews. To start with, we did not get one of those new yellow trucks with "MoveSquare" logo. Movers showed up in an old white truck with no identifying signage. No logo'd shirts.

Pre-move, I pointed out an antique dresser and stressed it needed to be handled with great care. Regardless of warning, they tore the wooden support that holds the rightwing mirror and left it shrink wrapped because otherwise, the mirror would have likely fallen off. They did not wrap the dresser in blankets. In fact, I did not see them using any blankets. Put co. on notice of damage.

Movers didn't realize IKEA cubby was bolted to the wall. They forcibly removed it tearing two holes in the drywall; one of which was 9" wide. They left the drywall pieces and bolts dangling from the back of the cubby.
Landlord deducted $75 from our security deposit. Provided co. with receipt and request for reimbursement two times. Both requests for such a nominal amount were ignored until I posted this review. Then my requests were declined.

Accidently, I paid a portion of their $1000+ fee (local move for contents of 2 bedrooms) on Venmo twice. Noticed error and contacted co. with request for reimbursement. Request declined. Requested again. Request declined again. Stopped payment at bank. Venmo paid it and pursued Move-Square for reimbursement which they got.

BTW, they do not have a claim form which is customary for moving companies. No doubt that is because they never pay out on a claim...not even one for less than $100.

There isn't a single good reason to hire this company. Don't do it.
