Mr. Handrail

Jeremy and Ken just did a beautiful rail installation at my Oakland house. They were professional and gave excellent custom recommendations based on the specific configuration of my home. The paint on the rails are literally still drying, but I wanted to give their due for what was clearly a great job!

Few services reach the level of quality of Mr. Handrail and their crew. The quality of work, the speed with which they did and the overall craftsmanship is of the highest order. I especially want to send a word of thanks to Kenny, Esteban and Ivan. They worked on making our backyard safe and beautiful as if it was their own and their own family and grandparents that they were taking care of. i also looked at tons of reviews and compared a few quotes and thought Mr. Handrail was a fair price for the quality of work they do. Overall, not only do I recommend them as a solution to building custom solutions, but as craftsmen doing the best work of any type of work i've contracted.

Not interested in spending $2250 for a simple screw on 15 foot hand rail. Seems expensive for what it is. Just my two cents, not that it will change anything.

Despite an uncertain rain forecast, the guys came on time and finished the job -- a perfect handrail, just what I had hoped for. Cheerful and competent craftsmen. We are all fortunate such are still around. So pleased to have found you.

Exceeded expectations. Recently moved into a 1 level home due to a disability in the family. I needed handrails installed at each entrance (5 total) because each had 1 step. They came out to help me plan and provided a quote immediately. We set up the install date (3 weeks out). Today they arrived on time and were very professional and expert at their craft. I am so pleased with the handrails and their expertise and wonderful service. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Due to rains our handrail installation was understandably delayed. However, I will say it was worth waiting for. The "look" of the front of the house was really important to me so it took me some time to research and decide on a company. I chose Mr. Handrail because of their excellent reviews, satisfied customers, and responsiveness. The guys that installed the handrail were very personable and did an excellent job. They listened to my needs and provided excellent advice and offered options that I hadn't thought of that ended up being a very good call. They worked efficiently and thoroughly. Top notch company. Respond quickly and had all of my questions answered right away. If you want handrails I would defiantly call them up.

Ivan and Ken did a great job installing a rather complicated winding rail along an exterior walkway that I have. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and able to answer all of my questions. They built a custom, winding steel railing that looks great. They got the install done completely on time (one day) and left the work area clean when they were done. I'd definitely use them again for another railing project.

From initial contact to finished job, Mr Handrail is a pleasure to work with. Richard responded quickly and patiently to our questions and attended to all our concerns. Ken and Gabriel, the installers, were complete pros. They worked with us, inviting us to tweak our design to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. The result is beyond what we imagined. We couldn't be happier.

My indoor stair railing was not up to code and had large gaps between the rails (over 5 inches of space), and with a little one on the way, I needed to fix the issue. Richard was quick to respond via email and most of the questions could be answered via email and sending photos, then a phone call for follow ups and to schedule the appointments to remove the railing and reinstall it. I was a little nervous because the job was so small that Richard didn't think he needed to visit the site to confirm prices or the work needed, but decided to move forward since he had a very competitive and reasonable quote compared to others (cheaper than another company by a significant amount).
Scheduled the work and Richard's team came out and removed the railing very quickly and carefully, cleaning up any messes. My household was without a railing on the stairs for a week, then the workers arrived to reinstall. It took 3 hours or so to install it, and they were careful and did good work, cleaning up as always.

The railing looks amazing. They blasted off the old paint and replaced it with what appears to be a matte powder coating that matched the same white we had before and looks great. The bars they used to fill the gaps look identical to the others, so the entire railings look brand new and complete. Richard and his team even installed a horizontal safety bar by request because the gap between the floor and railing was too tall.

I'm very pleased. The railings feel sturdy and look great; in fact, the railings look better than before and are now much safer. I would do business with Mr. Handrail again and highly recommend them!

Our exterior handrails were installed in two days. The three workers were friendly and professional. Excellent craftsmanship. Extremely pleased with the results. We highly recommend Mr Handrail.
