This place is a lot of fun! My 20-year-old enjoyed it a lot. It's a perfect location for families with teenagers and their parents to spend some quality time together.

This museum is relatively tiny, at, at its best, houses some eye popping exhibits. Some of the mounted images on the wall are familiar things that we've seen in books, and some are standouts, such as the Infinity Room abd the cloning table. They get extra points for being dog friendly. It takes about an hour to see the whole thing, but it is an hour well spent. Also points for being right outside of the subway stop,

Overpriced and underwhelming. I was trying to do something different that didn't have a crazy price tag attached to it like the Museum of Ice Cream but I made a horrible mistake. I came here on a nice Saturday afternoon with my timed tickets that totaled $60 for 1 adult and 1 child. First, it was small and we completed the whole thing in about 35 minutes. We could have done it in 15 if we didn't take our time. Second, here is where the rip-off part comes in. HALF of the "exhibits" is stuff you have probably seen on Pinterest or the internet in general. Third, there is a second pathetic floor that has no air conditioning that has a "photo" illusion that means you have to take the picture then edit your picture for the illusion. The second floor is smaller than the first so it feels even more crowded. Fourth, I don't have problems with crowds but why have timed tickets if we are stepping over each other anyway? You have to step back for some of the illusions and there is a good chance you will bump into somebody.

This is supposed to be a family friendly thing and it is but the neighborhood doesn't have too much eating options for the kids. Lots of bars for the adults. Maybe hit one the bars afterward for better illusions.

In the end, I have learned my lesson. I am done with the "interactive" museums. They are only good for instagram pictures. Go to a real museum where you get your money worth.

Kinda dumb. I guess it's nice for little kids. All of the main displays they show on social media - those are basically just 3 little rooms. Nice enough to get some cute pictures - but overall underwhelming. In the main optical illusion rooms, only 1 is monitored by staff for traffic. The rest feel like a free for all, which is annoying and confusing. I wish staff would help lead the traffic to the other rooms as well.

The rest of the place is just looking a holograms on the wall.

It was busy when I was there and the place is small and at a certain point, I just wanted to get the hell out of there.

I was super excited about visiting this museum. When I arrived I was lucky to find parking close by. We walked into an awesome place. There were different illusionary exhibits. The best was the slanted room! I really enjoyed my experience!

This was a fun vibe for a quick date night. Getting through the museum, took us about 45 minutes. The staff was really helpful and willing to take photos of us, explain some of the illusions, and ask us if we needed anything as we made our way around. Some of the illusions required a bit of deep thinking as to what was happening as I looked, which was interesting. The tickets were $25 each. The only downside I would say is that the museum is quite small, so it got pretty busy at random points. The music was also very loud and quite distracting as I found myself having to re-read descriptions because the music Just didn't go with the vibes. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for a cute date night or even taking kids out. As a schoolteacher, I'm interested in having a class trip here. It's good for kids and adults.

Great way to spend a rainy afternoon in the city! Lots of fun photo opportunities and illusions to discover. Plan to spend about 2 hours here, no reservations needed, we walked right in. Small gift shop on your way out if you'd like to buy gifts. Great for families, kids, everyone!

I didn't mind the price so much, as all of these "museums" are a bit overpriced but I did mind that there just wasn't that much to do to occupy our time. There was really just a few photo ops and they were just okay, and the museum itself is VERY small. Like we did it in 5 minutes small. I usually go to Brooklyn to pick up my mentee and we plan an afternoon around an experience. In this case, the Museum of Illusions left much to be desired. Luckily Little Island, Chelsea Market, and the High Line are nearby so I took her to those spots after to fill the time we thought we'd be at the museum. 3 stars because there a couple cool things to look at and some of the photos are fun, but overall not something I can recommend going out of your way to do.

Okay so me and my son father took our son here for his birthday and I kinda didn't like how my experience was . I paid 70 something dollars for two tickets just so we can be here for about a good 15 to 20 minutes. It's was a two floor exhibit and I don't think $30 was a good price for a ticket. Don't get me wrong. My son did have fun, but I wouldn't do it again.

I came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Because of the weather, it was probably more crowded than usual.

It is a small museum and you can easily get through everything in about an hour. There are about 40 numbered exhibits spanning two floors, each with a different optical illusion. Placards explain how to experience the illusion and a bit of the science around why it occurs.

It's a fun place for families and kids. Some of the more interesting, immersive exhibits had short lines to view them and folks stop to take a lot of pictures, which can get a bit tiring to maneuver.

It's nice for the novelty, but I don't think it quite warranted the fairly expensive ticket price.
