I was a tenant for a couple of years at a Myerhoff & Associates managed property near Lake Merritt, Oakland and had a wonderful experience with Laura Shy as a property manager. I didn't encounter too many issues with my apartment, but whenever I reached out, I received a prompt response from Laura and the issue was usually addressed within a couple of days at most.

I trust Myerhoff & Associates to manage my multi-unit property and they have been tremendous in ensuring my tenants are supported and that the property is taken care of. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable and his team is super professional and responsive. Prior to Myerhoff & Associates, I had an awful internet property management company with a shiny app (and out of state support). I much prefer the hands-on approach of this small local team and I can easily reach them for any needs.

Nick, Laura, and the entire maintenance crew are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They are streamlined, efficient, and make everything from the initial application to move-out simple and straightforward. In the 2.5 years I lived there I had maybe two general maintenance request and they were on it immediately. The company has a family vibe and the owner as well as the employees seem to genuinely care about their tenants wellbeing.

I'm temporarily leaving the bay to help out family. When I return Myerhoff and Associates will definitely be the first place I check for available units. A++++

I have been a tenant for 8 years and have only had positive experiences with Myerhoff and Associates, and Laura in particular. My building is safe, quiet and comfortable and the management team has been very responsive to any request I have made. I would definitely recommend them.

We hired Myerhoff & Associates to help us manage a multi-unit property in Oakland and to find renters for two live/work spaces as we were struggling to do so on our own. They helped us assess current market conditions to set reasonable prices for the live/work units and worked tirelessly to find suitable renters. The monthly fee they charge is reasonable and working with them has given us peace of mind that we are supported by industry professionals looking out for both our best interests and those of our renters. They've been a pleasure to work with and are very responsive to emails, phone calls and any type of inquiry that has come up. Our only regret was not engaging with Myerhoff & Associates sooner. Highly recommended.

I stayed at a Myerhoff managed property near Lake Merritt for 3 years and I highly recommend them to any renters in the East Bay. Apartment managers/landlords are real hit-or-miss in the Bay Area, but I will say the Myerhoff team is one of the best.

Their managers and maintenance team were always super responsive to emails/text and fixed issues promptly. They also kept the property in top shape as well even doing preventative maintenance regularly to keep the apartments safe and clean.

I specifically want to give a shoutout to Laura who was super during my entire time at the property. She really went above and beyond to take care of me and the rest of tenants in the property.

I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them if I am ever in the East Bay again!

Just moved out after 9 years. I was a teacher when I found the apartment. It was spacious and affordable. Always had great managers inside the building and a consistent system for communicating both ways with Laura and Nick.

I have rented from Myerhoff & Associates, Inc. for several years now and would HIGHLY recommend them to both tenants and landlords. The staff is very nice, helpful and responsive. Their maintenance workers are great-- easy to schedule, always nice and I've never experienced any issues or delays getting things fixed. They use a simple tenant portal to pay rent and make requests. I found it very helpful and easy to use. I really had a great experience being their tenant.

I have been working with Nick ,the principal and owner and Laura ,the leasing agent.
Nick has given me some very honest feedback about my residential Triplex
And also some advise that ultimately was extremely beneficial in enhancing the value of my property. He took a phone call from me while he was on the ski slope with his family ,we probably spoke for 20 minutes but his advise was extremely helpful.
They both try to take good care of their clients,and set a higher standard then many others in the business.

I rented a one bedroom near Lake Merritt for a year during the pandemic and it was a lovely apartment. Laura and the other people running the building were attentive and helpful if I had any issues (and I had almost none). Close to beautiful Lake Merritt and lots of good restaurants like Shan Dong, Tacos Mi Rancho, and Aburaya.
