Nest Dental

I've seen Dr. Chew at Nest Dental since moving to the Peninsula and have been very happy with the quality of care and overall experience. She is kind and makes you feel relaxed (not always easy at the dentist!). Explains procedures and recommendations clearly. The last few times they've had complimentary toothbrushes in stock, thankfully. I love getting my oral hygiene goodie bag after an appointment! There is a parking lot behind the building for patients.

I've been seeing Dr. Chew for years and appreciate her expertise and care. She cares so deeply about the precision of her work and the health of my teeth/mouth! I've had a crown, an overlay and a frenectomy. She explains steps by step, works to precision and personally texts me the next day to check in!! I always know that I will walk away with a perfect fit due to their modern technology (on-site), her skill and extensive experience. If you want technical expertise combined with genuine care, pls make an apt with Dr. Chew. I highly recommend!

I've been coming to this office for about 3 years and really wanted to like this office because it is located near home, nice and clean, modern equipment, and friendly staff (RDH). However, I do not find the dentist here trustworthy although they appear to be very professional and caring. Upon a few visits early on, they suggested that i should fix one of my front teeth that was slightly uneven on the bottom. It never bothered me as it was hardly noticeable. Sure, why not. After getting that procedure done, I felt it was slightly longer than the other tooth. Fast forward 1-2 weeks later, it ended up cracking when I bit down (I am guessing it was because it was uneven with my other front tooth), so I ended up getting it redone. Instead of doing the procedure as a courtesy considering that it was just done weeks prior, they charged me again. Sure, fine.

What set me off was my last routine visit. A different dentist that I have not worked with came to see me. She informed me that I had 2 cavities (bottom molars on each side) and that I needed to come back to get treated. I don't think she did a thorough cleaning as fluoride was not given nor flossed my teeth at the end. I was very skeptical of the "cavities" because I am 40+ y.o. and never had a cavity prior and all of sudden this new lady sees me, and I have cavities now?! So, I ended up getting a second opinion and it was determined that I do not have cavities. Do not try to be friendly and chat with me throughout the exam when you are going to deceive me, very insulting and shady. Also, that front tooth that I got fixed, isn't even straight now. I guess whatever they used came off again.

I have to admit it was a little bit longer than it should have been since my last visit, and I was nervous making the appointment. I got there and was quickly checked in and headed back before I could know it. The front desk was clean, and the process was efficient. Once we got back I got a checkup and cleaning and I have to say it was great. Adrianne was friendly and also very thorough. She explained what she was doing and offered insight to how to floss and areas to monitor. The dentist came in and I did an exam. He also was very helpful and understanding. They scheduled me an appointment for regular check ups in the future and also explained the process for a night guard with my insurance. Extremely helpful. I didnt even mention the technology they have is really good too. A lot of photo and X-ray technology that was impressive.

As mentioned below by few others, the scheduling with the office is a nightmare. I called to reschedule to another date. When the date arrived and made my appointment, I learned that the appointment was never moved, and I traveled unnecessarily. There is no consequence, just a basic "I'm sorry".

Please avoid this practice.

Nest Dental has been our family dentist for at least eight years now. We are impressed with the modern equipment and gentle dentistry. However recently I was incredibly grateful because they confirmed insurance prior to a couple of kids' appointments and alerted me that my dental insurance was inactive! It had mistakenly been canceled and we were able to reactivate. If we had had our appointments we would have been billed the full rate! It was wonderful to know that we are taken care of both medically and financially at Nest Dental.

I really liked dr chow and was her patients for a few years. She has great customer services and facility here is pretty cute. However, for some reason, when I came here for a visit, I got switched to another dentist, who was pretty cold and I didn't get much check. I am not sure what happened. So I stopped visiting after. What a shame.

Nest Dental (Cov-id update):

Came in for an overdue cleaning this week and wanted to provide some general updates for covid precautions. Overall: Super clean, cautious, and efficient!

- Patients required to wear masks while waiting
- Each pen for paperwork is new
- Patients get temp taken immediately upon entering
- Every tool is sterilized
- Hydrogen peroxide rinse offered after dental xrays
- Dentists and all staff wear masks

The experience made me feel safe and I'm extremely grateful to the staff at Nest for being so responsible to prevent spread while serving patients. Hope this helps anyone weighing the risks before making an appointment!

Terrible service. I got a text message on Thursday the week before my appointment asking me to reschedule to their convenience; then I got a voicemail while at work at 11 am the day of my appointment to reschedule again to their convenience; then when I called them to say my kids are sick and I need to reschedule because I don't have childcare, the secretary says she needs to collect $ 100 on the spot and offers to send me a link to charge me. They never told me about such a charge every-time they needed to reschedule me for their benefit. I Never want to deal with this staff ever again. I went here for Dr. Fionones, now I will recommend my family go elsewhere, since she is gone.

Overall I know I've found the right place for my dental care.
This office itself is nice and clean. The staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.
Everyone from the office manager, hygienist and the doctor himself were all very friendly, professional, and efficient. I was also impressed by their fancy x-ray system where you see real time imagery.
The Nest team was on time, very accommodating and professional. After some unpleasant dental visits at other dentists in the past, this was a quick, easy, painless experience, and I didn't feel any pressure to be up charged. I will definitely be returning to Nest and have already scheduled my next appointment.
