Is there still outdoor seating and if so can I book a table outside specifically?

There's an outdoor seating. I don't believe you can reserve ahead, but when you get there you can tell them if you want outdoor or indoor dining.

Great food, nice service. Always crowded which speaks about the trust of this restaurant in people. Serving size is also good.

Our Friends brought us here on Friday night the weekend 4th of July-2024. The restaurant was busy and the waiting time was somewhat half an hour. Inside was well decorated.
We ordered Papaya Salad, Pineapple fried rice, PadThai, and Tom Yum. The food was delicious. They are all very balanced flavors/seasoning. Unlike many other Thai restaurants, Beside beers This restaurant service cocktail and wine too.
The restaurant is very decorative. Parking space was little challenging. We definitely come back when I visit San Jose again.

Really enjoyed this place! The restaurant's staff is attentive and friendly. Our food choices did not disappoint. The egg rolls are probably not going to be reordered next time, though. The main reason is there are still plenty of dishes to try... and my family and I will definitely try more dishes! The location is clean and well organized.

Will be visiting again... from Los Angeles, by the way.

Mango Sticky Rice with Mango, tasty, not crazy sweet, enough for 5-8 folks to enjoy!
#11 (XL) and #13 (L)... highly recommend both! My personal favorite was the #13 but my family really liked #11.

We came here for a bustling Thai dinner after hearing this is the best Thai food in San Jose.

Would come back for one thing and one thing only:

The mango sticky rice dessert. (8.5/10) The fact that it was presented in the shape of a heart made all the difference. They pile on heaps of sweet mango and the sticky rice was fragrant and delicious with the condensed milk sauce.

Another solid option was the pad see ew with prawns. (8/10) The wok fired taste was notable and the prawns were great.

Panama Curry with chicken 7/10 and pad kra pow were 6.5/10. They both tasted similar with the ingredients being the same and were not memorable.

Would not order again: The crab fried rice (3/10) it was bland and lacked flavor. There were small chunks of imitation crab and overall this dish was lacking.

Overall we had great food here but i definitely would not recommend the Tom Yum Goon soup. Besides that we got the pad Thai and sticky mango rice and was super happy with these two dishes. Quick service as well!

I came here with my family for the first time during the weekend when they were visiting. There was a long wait so we waited about 30-40 min. From the wait, I had high expectations of the food but it ended up disappointing the whole family.

We ordered a pineapple fried rice, green curry with white rice, a mango delight, and a sticky rice with mango. The pineapple fried rice and green curry were incredibly average and a little bland. It was very hard for us to finish, but everyone enjoyed the desserts at least. The mango delight and sticky rice were the best dishes out of everything.

There were a lot of families eating here. I think it's a great casual place for families to talk and enjoy food (if you're not picky about having good thai food). I'm probably not going to come back here again though.

Outstanding Thai food. We especially liked the fish with the red/orange curry sauce (forgot the exact name) and the lunch special with the green curry, eggplant, and chicken. The chicken satay was just okay followed by the drunken noodles but still delicious. i was also thought the portion size was small for the drunken noodles. Despite these things, this place was excellent. We would love to eat here again.

We visited this place after a really long time. The parking lot is quite small , and can fill up pretty quick during busy times. The ambience is pretty decent. Wait time for a table on Saturday evening was approximately 35 mins.
As vegetarians we tried the following :
Tom Kha Pak : 5/5. This was really tasty. Enjoyed the lemongrass flavor. The only thing I'd change is swap the mushrooms for some other veggie.
Basil Fried Vegetable Rice : 5/5. Really enjoyed this. It was the right level of spicy, and liked the variety of veggies it came with.
Tofu Kee Mao : 5/5. This had really good flavor. Was slightly more garlicky than I like. But enjoyed it nevertheless.
      Would definitely be back here.

It's been a long long time since I've been here, probably several years.
Server and hostess were a delight and very kind and accommodating. I was shocked that there was not a wait as it was a Saturday and the restaurant was half empty so it wasn't too loud.

Pad Thai: 1 stars. Not sure what happened but the noodles is one of the blandest pad Thai I've ever had. Prawns and chicken were fine. 2-3 prawns and some chicken and eggs.
Yellow seafood curry: 4 stars. I like that they are able to adjust spice levels. Plenty of seafood, mussels, fish, calamari, prawns. I like that the fish is a thin filet that is coated and fried because it doesn't break apart in the sauce. Good flavors.
Papaya salad: 3 stars. we got no spice and got the chili on the side for people who wanted spice. Simple. You can taste the dried shrimp sometimes. Pretty decent flavors.

New Krungthai is a nice and popular restaurant. The parking lot is small and again this restaurant is very popular, so come off hours, otherwise you need to find street parking in the neighborhood.

The service is friendly, attentive, and nice.

Personally, I feel the portions were good here.

Larb (with Chicken - 3/5): Minced meat cooked in a spicy dressing and tossed with Thai herbs: shallots, mint leaves, kaffir lime leaves, cilantro, scorched dry chili & balanced with ground roasted rice. Served with sliced fresh cabbage. My friends thought, "This was a bit dry."

Curry Crab Fried Rice (3.5/5): Crab meat fried rice with eggs & aromatic turmeric yellow curry powder. Garnished with fried minced garlic and green onions.

2x Pad Thai (3.5/5): The Thai noodle dish that is famous. Flavorful pan fried rice noodles with prawns, chicken, tofu, bean sprouts, eggs, and green onions.

2x Pad See Ew (with Chicken - 4/5): Thai classic pan fried rice noodle with eggs, Chinese broccoli, seasoned with dark soy sauce. Soft flat noodles that have been tossed in a sweet and savory soy sauce. The gai-lan was cut up smaller so you could easily eat it.

Eggplant Chili Garlic (with Pork - 4/5): Sauteed with eggplants, fresh chili, minced garlic, bell peppers & sweet basil. Soft eggplant and the flavors blended well. Everything was good in this dish.

Yellow Curry (with Chicken - 3.5/5): Simmered in mild yellow curry with coconut milk, potatoes & onions. Our protein was chicken. Good curry, though, I am used to thicker sauce, which this was not. Plus, it had a tinge of red in it.

Panang Curry (with Chicken - 3.5/5): Simmered in rich Panang curry paste with coconut milk, bell peppers, sweet basil & fine kaffir lime leaves. Flavorful, but not as creamy as I am used to. It was still delicious on top of the steamed rice.
