Nike Clearance Store - San Leandro

I've been coming here for years, most recently, 1st week of April, 2024. This store blows doors on the other Nike Stores, not even comparable.
They've got way more selection, it's rare I come inside and walkout with nothing. This store is also bigger than the other ones you see at outlets. They have a heavy amount of consistent customers which is probably why they keep the shelves constantly stocked with stuff.

Two items you can almost always guarantee the San Leandro location will have is backpacks for your kids school or other uses, Jordan ones for $20. The 2nd is ankle socks, 6 pack for $15. It's insane people would pay easily 2-3X that online or at another retail place.

Staff here is also nice & helpful. Remember though, you can't return anything you buy here, 100% non refundable.

Doesn't accept returns here. Makes no sense. It's your product so take it back. You can take my money but not your products back?

Great prices, just hard to find much variety or the right size. Staff was very knowledgeable and nice.

This place is almost always pretty crowded!! I mean, people love Nikes and here you can find some pretty good deals as their stuff full price can be rather expensive!!

I do like how they arrange their shoes by sizes as I mostly come here for shoes. I wear a size 13 shoe, but I have a narrow foot. Most other places that have size 13s only come in wide sizes.

Be prepared to stand in line for a while when checking out, but it usually goes fairly quickly.

Located in the Marina Village Shopping Center right off the freeway, this is one of the more popular stores here!!

It's been a couple years since I last written a review here and I still have a love hate relationship with this place. I love it because I find some hidden gems, but I also hate it because I spend way too much here lol. It's just so hard to pass up on the deals.

I love love love Nike stuff, but I never want to pay full price for anything (unless it's Jordans) because of this store alone. The rock-bottom pricing on clothes and shoes is absolutely ridiculous and the quality of the clothes last a long time. I've found blazer mid premiums for $49 (normally $110), a pair of gore-tex AJ1's that were sold out online in my size, and I got it for $129. The deals are unreal, if you can find them.

They've had some nice premium clothing pieces that last couple of times, and I couldn't resist. Paying 60% off msrp in most cases is too good of a deal to pass up. It's always fun to go in and see what clothes they got because a lot of the stuff they have is available online at full price.

Since my last review, they have increased the number of 9.5 size shoes, which as been great. I heard from another person that they get their new shipments on Tuesday and Thursdays. The re-sellers are what make finding gems really hard because the snatch up everything high value right in the mornings. So I've stopped trying to get their early, and just wait for the staff to restock later in the morning or early afternoon.

Important to know here, it's the only Nike store that is 'all sales final'

So, the last few times I've shopped at this store the shoe selection had slightly improved. I recently picked up a pair of Air Max 97 (all white) for $79 and a black pair of VaporMax for $99. That was a come up and a rare find. I also scored a Nike puffer coat for $99. Another bargain.

So, I'm happy to report that the store's inventory has been slightly better as of late (March 2023).

No returns or exchanges. Bought a pair of shoes for a friend, didn't fit so now I'm stuck with them. Can't even exchange. Screw this place.

This place used to have decent stuff for a good price, people would always return hyped shoes here so you were able to find a lot of steals. There was a time when you would line up for an hour before they opened to have an opportunity to buy shoes to resell. Those days are long gone, now they stock a whole bunch of trash on their shelves. The lines are always long too.

I was looking for a specific walking shoe. I did not find them on the racks. I talked to Barbara at the front desk. She asked Stuey to look for the shoes I wanted. OMG. Stuey is amazing. He found the exact shoe I was looking for in an acceptable color. He went out of his way to search for the shoe. Barbara and Stuey are very professional, helpful, and nice. Thank you, Barbara and Stuey. You are both awesome. I am such a happy camper!!!!

Atmosphere/Service- 4/5 The store is located in the spacious Marina Square plaza in San Leandro, with tons of parking available. Inside the store is relatively well kept, but since it is always busy, expect there to be some clutter here and there from the customers :P I arrived 2 hours before closing on a Sunday night, but the store was filled with customers with a never-ending checkout line.

Selection- 5/5 huge selection of highly discounted goods. The only caveat is everything is NON returnable (but they do have a fitting room so you can make sure everything fits perfect before buying). It may take some time to browse through the store since most things are mixed together, but if you spend time to sort through the racks you might find some treasures.

Value- 5/5 everything in the store is the cheapest Nike you'll get. I even compared some products pricing in store vs online, and found in store was always significantly cheaper.

All in all, store has great selection (although slightly disorganized since it's a CLEARANCE store) and fantastic value- highly recommend buying Nike here!
