As a heads up - most entrees don't come with rice so be sure to order a side (and sides may be small).
Butter chicken and tikki masala are the real deal.

The curry wasn't that spicy, but the flavor was good. The price was cheaper than the menu we ordered on, and prices are really reasonable for the area. We even got complimentary dessert (gulab jamun). Would definitely come back.

Jun 29, 2024I found the restaurant to be nice and clean inside. All of the tables were set and I was seated immediately.
I ordered the Paneer makhani, Pulao, and two orders of naan. When asked with what spice level I wanted, I went with spicy.
The food came out in record time, probably less than 15 minutes. The Presentation was eye catching as everything from the naan to the paneer was plated nicely.
The Pulao turned to just be plain rice and peas. It did not appear to be seasoned and was a tad bland. However, I mostly ordered it to get some rice for the main dish.
The Paneer, on the other hand, was both aromatic and tasty. I particularly liked the cheese to gravy ratio. While not very spicy, it did balance out the meal well.
Finally, the naan was quite good! It had a nice outer crunch with a soft spongey interior, perfect for absorbing the other dishes' flavors.
On top of that, it all came out to less than 30 dollars! I definitely recommend checking this place out.

The service is really good. The waiter made sure to give us the best recommendations possible, he even took extra care to check what level of spice to use.
Super lucky to get a window seat today, they even set out fresh roses on each table. It's so romantic and very exotic. I've been to India once before, this place helps me relive my incredible adventures in India. I highly recommend this place.

I'm seriously disappointed by the rating this restaurant enjoys at 4.3 Stars, maybe it's the ambience or "free drinks", but it isn't the food. I've had better meals in a Bombay Garden from 25 years ago.
We ordered a number of dishes and only really enjoyed the papadum.
The Lamb Sheikh Kabob was dry and flavorless.
The plain Naan was closer to Jerky than good Naan
The dal with ginger should have been called "ginger with dal".
The Chana masala was just OK
The rice that was supposed to have peas, didn't.
Frankly, if you enjoy good authentic Indian cuisine, the 3 stars I'm giving North India should be considered generous.

North India was a disappointment. The first thing you notice is that it's a restaurant trying to look nice with the veneer of white table clothes, but look a little closer and you see stains on the clothes and a floor that looks like they just schemer the food around, leaving a greasy slime covered look.
The next disappointment were the simple drinks we ordered, a coke and ice tea. The tea wasn't even "as good" as Lipton and the coke was flat and came in a glass with food crumbs on the bottom.
The Aloo Ghobi tasted like they had kept the Cauliflower a little too long. I got the Lamb Vindaloo, which should be a joyous expression of Indian curry full of flavor, spice and heat and it was none of those things. It wasn't hot or spicy and it was just OK enough to eat, my wife couldn't eat her Ghobi. The garlic naan was decent. We also got Dal but it was boring at best.
Lastly, we were there at 7:00 on a Saturday and we were the only ones there when we left. No, we didn't take the leftovers. 
Jul 5, 2024The buffet is a must here! You get a lot of good variety of food at a great price. Lots of good vegetarian options and I was so full by the end. It is also a beautiful restaurant. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Jul 4, 2024Amazing food. Even better service. The price is tough to beat for their Thursday buffet which I highly recommend. The fried fish was the best I've had and the saag paneer was unreal. I liked the Halava and the naan too. Very cute place but on Thursdays it's fun to sit outside and watch the street parties.

We got takeout from North India Restaurant, and it was mostly great! We enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala, a tasty dish with boneless white meat in herbs, spices, and tomatoes, paired with Garlic Naan.
The best part was the Rogan Josh - a lamb curry with a rich garlic, ginger, and onion sauce made with fresh Californian lamb. It was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice.
But the Chicken Tikka Masala, even though we asked for it spicy, wasn't as flavorful as we hoped. The chicken was a bit dry, too.
