Oasis at The River Room Salon

I love Oasis at The River Room! I really value someone that specializes in hair color and Moises (Gilbert) does exactly that. He has color treated my hair for over ten years and always keeps it looking healthy and fresh. Not only is Moises incredibly talented but a wonderful, friendly person too. An added plus to this Walnut Creek hair salon is the free parking which is usually hard to find in the area.

Everyone was very friendly. It's very cute hair salon.... Linah was very professional and gave me a beautiful haircut. Finally, I found the best hair stylist in Walnut Creek after years of searching. She knows exactly what to do.

Really lovely place, had a haircut with Shyla and asked her to teach me how to curl my hair properly (I know, I know!) She was very kind and went through the technique and I've been happily curling to great results ever since. Thank you!!

Great stylists (particularly Linh) and friendly staff at this peaceful, low-key salon in Walnut Creek. Easy parking!

I came here today based on the reviews. I'd fallen out of love with a stylist who I'd been going to for years, it was time to move on; and then had a few cuts at a huge salon in WC but the cost far exceeded the quality. I have short hair which needs to be feminine, classy and also a little edgy.

OMG. This was hands-down the best experience I've had at a salon, ever. Nona cut and Jasmine colored. They sat me down and I was blown away by how much they both genuinely cared and showed an interest in my hair. They had great ideas and just got me. So many reviews mention collaboration and feeling at home and in good hands...all so true.

Nona and Jasmine are truly talented and expert at their craft. I'm so used to getting my hair done and having to wait a week or so for the color to mellow out, and I never leave a salon liking how it's been styled. That all changed today.

Top place. Beautiful salon. Lovely people and a wonderful experience. We also all had a good giggle which was the icing on the cake.

Wow!! I never expected to encounter this amazing a stylist in the Bay Area. I have been searching for years for someone who understands how to create a short hair style that is is classy, elegant and feminine. AND finally I found Nona! She is incredibly talented, and created a style that was not only perfect for my face shape, but reminded me of the haircuts I have only been able to get in London or New York when I travel. I have been to lots of high-end salons in San Francisco, and have never found anyone who can match her talent at looking at your face and creating something stunning. Random people on the street have stopped to tell me how much they loved the cut!

Others who have commented on Nona's magical skills and talent drew me to this unassuming hair salon in Walnut Creek and I am so glad that I came!!

This review is for both the salon itself and Nona. My daughter came to Nona several months ago for a keratin treatment, and we've been back for haircuts and styles. It has been, hands down, the best decision. Nona is an amazing stylist. She's very knowledgeable, creative and professional, and gave both of us great advice about what would work best for our hair and the level of maintenance we could do for it. And she's really fun to talk with! We're so glad to have met her and look forward to seeing her.

The salon itself is a really welcoming space. Lots of natural light and soothing decor. It's got a fantastic vibe and everyone there has been super nice. I also appreciate that they were proactive about reaching out when Nona needed to rebook us due to illness. They were really accommodating and worked to find a time as close as possible to the original. I liked that they aren't the kind of place that makes employees feel they have to work when they're under the weather.

Once again they always exceed my expectations! My hair quite always needs a root touch up! Most recently I have been using " gabby" she makes me feel youthful! My hair looks great! I also got a haircut today. I can't remember her name but the entire salon professionals chimed in and I always feel pampered!

Moises is a coloring genius! I love my hair every time I walk out of here. I also got my hair cut by Linh who honestly gave me a perfect cut for my hair goals. I wanted to be able to grow out my hair and the grow out of this cut is as cute as it was months ago! The whole place and process is so relaxing.

Nona is extremely talented - gave me a dry cut and it turned out terrific- - magically knows exactly what you want and delivers! Nona also cut my hair wet and again did a terrific job. Nona collaborate with you so your vision of a cut becomes a reality ! Even with her top notch skills and experience , she doesn't have an ego trip & is a nice /pleasant person to work with.
