Ohana Sushi & Poke

Visiting from California and we strolled into Ohana. Delicious. Loved everything. The service was great and the food was fresh and beautifully presented. Great vibe with my partner and two kids.

The spot is a great hole in the wall. Being right on the edge of China town, it would be easy to miss. The food was amazing, Salmon being some of the best I have ever had (I've had lots of sushi all over). This place is easily in the top 5. The lovely lady that served us was also very nice and timely in getting our orders and bringing out food. Would highly recommend.

I'll start with the good...
The young man who served me was absolutely lovely.
The place was spotless.
The crab sonomono salad was good, I would definitely get that again.
Unfortunately I found the music to be so loud and fast, it reminds me of my clubbing days...
Completely wrong for a pokè/sushi restaurant.
The tempura prawns were not homemade, they are brought in frozen, and the tasted reflects this...

And the tempura is batter was really processed and bad.
The chicken katsu was a real letdown, the saving grace was yummy side salads' dressing.
Would I go back, not for the items I ordered...
I would try the pokè bowls before anything else again.

Great spot for lunch or a casual dinner, with really good flavors in both the ramen broth and poke bowls. The atmosphere is part historic building with original brickwork and concrete floors and part cute poke shop with paper lanterns. The poke bowls are offered either as one of 4-5 standard bowls or build your own. If I lived close by I would probably get this for dinner a few nights a week! And then on alternate nights get the ramen which had a really nice smooth flavor to it. Service was friendly and timely.

What a disgusting place. They put the tempura IN the udon for delivery. Needless to say it was inedible. Called to get a refund along with a new udon. We would have had to drive 20 minutes to get new food. Manager was immediately offended and lost her ever loving mind, thinking I was what, stealing food? I would run like my pants were on fire before ever giving a penny to this place. Especially with customer service like that. Completely unhinged.
