Orchard City RV

I have nothing but good things to say about this place and their employees. Just got back from a weekend at Pismo beach. I rented a CanAm Turbo from them and had a blast. Worth every single penny! You may think what they charge is expensive but try and rent a Atv or Utv from the businesses in Pismo and you'll realize how reasonable their prices are. The best part is you have it for as long as you want. No, oh shit I gotta have the rental back in 10 mins nonsense.

Most of the ATVs and UTVs you rent on the beach are beat up, rusted and in horrible shape; hours of abuse from inexperienced riders and salt water take a toll on the equipment and it shows. I know because we do yearly trips to Pismo and I've always rented from Arnie's or Steves ATV. Not to knock them because they are friendly people, but their equipment just sucks. ‍

I picked up OCRVs CanAm and it was flawless!Clean, and ready to rip. I also walked around their place and saw that the rest of their rentals. They're all updated and clean. Not like the other places TBH.

I will definitely come back here EVERY SINGLE YEAR from now on. Keep up the amazing work and awesome customer service. Me, my family and friends will definitely be back soon! You guys f***kin rock!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm concerned that this company generates More revenue from charging people for damage, than actual rental services.

There was superficial aesthetic scratches as you can see in the photo. We were told, that these tiny scratches are worth 25% of the entire cost of the part ($1400).

Do you think these scratches justify 25%?

In reality, it's more like 0.1% of the cost. --so how many customers will they do this to? 10? And reap a 250% return on this part? -HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS.

I'm all for paying for damages but this is ridiculous.

The money maker is charging customers for cumulative replacements. You're NOT SUPPOSE TO PROFIT OFF DAMAGE CHARGES. Or is that the entire point of this business?

If you've been ripped off by this business, please reach out, as we may be interested in class action litigation.

Rented two Seadoo Spark jet skis from these guys from Friday to Sunday. The return process totally sucked. They only have one person working on Sunday so I waited over 2.5hrs to make my return. Waited outside their gate for 40mins. Another rented was already waiting. The only person there takes 45mins to do his return inspection. After waiting for near an hour the renters in front of me finally got escorted off the property. Upon inspecting my rentals he pointed out a scratch on my jetski rental. The scratch was pretty superficial. The seadoo sparks are made mostly out of plastic and polytec unlike traditional jetskis that are made of mostly fiberglass. Fiberglass damage needs repairs to prevent more damage to the surrounding fiberglass, however, the plastic and polytec damage does not need to be repaired. The small scratch was the size of a pinky fingernail clipping from a part that was nearly the entire surface of the ski. Basically the area you would stand on. The parts price was quoted at ~$1200. His inspection required me to pay for a 1/4 of the $1200 part and 1/4 of the labor it would be to replace the part. A quarter of the price was ridiculous in my opinion. I asked if he could give me deal and give me 1/10 of the cost for parts and labor. It seemed more reasonable than paying over $300 for a scratch in some polytec/plastic that was likely intended to take some abuse. I was surprised he was even considering that small scratch as damage. It blow my mind that they would do this kind of BS to a customer. By the looks of it, this has happen before.
The pictures indicate the part that would be replaced. Again, my scratch was the size of a little fingernail clipping. The part is massive in comparison to the scratch.

We LOVED our jet skis. Everyone that worked there is knowledgeable and helpful! I would highly recommend this place. The only part that I found frustrating is the check in and check out times - way way longer than any other companies. We checked out two jet skis and the return took 40 minutes!! They video everything and also check oil levels, etc. I guess that's how they run such a clean business. Also - they charge for cosmetic damage (most places do NOT do this - I have rented jet skis lots of times from elsewhere) again - allow time for the annoying long check in/outs but otherwise GREAT EQUIPMENT and GREAT PEEPS!!! (PS we had some issues getting out on the local lake launch and they extended us an hour extra free of charge on the return!)

Not gonna lie, I was a little hesitant at first due to the fact they don't have insurance you can buy for their rentals. But after speaking with Max, I was able to trust them a little more and give them a shot; and glad I did.

Rented a single Honda jet ski for a Friday-Monday long weekend. They without a doubt have the best rates around. I was also able to pick up the ski Thursday night for an acceptable added fee. The ski was in great looking condition and the engine compartment looked even better. Started her up for a few seconds and it sounded perfect. No problems getting the trailer hooked up and off I went.

This thing was fast. For as old as this ski was and being a rental, it performed as if it were brand new. There are brand new $17,000 skis that don't go as fast as this one did. Our whole party had a great time with this ski and did not have any issues.

Return was simple and no issues were brought up. I did treat their ski with care and returned it how I got it. Enjoyed talking with a few of the employees during pick up and return and would not hesitate to rent from these guys again. In fact, the ski that I rented, I might be buying from them. That's how well they keep their rentals.

My family and I decided to rent an RV for a month-long, 9000+mile, cross country vacation this summer. I spoke with many potential RV owners and came away very unimpressed. From dirty or sketchy RV's, to unprofessional business practices or a general unwillingness to work with us in renting the unit for so long, we had just about abandoned the idea.

Then, on a last ditch effort, I checked Yelp and found Matt with Orchard City. At the time, he had 9 five-star reviews. It's now over 30 and there is a reason why.

I cannot say enough good things about Matt and the way he runs his company and treats his customers;

*He is responsive when you call or text before, during and after the rental process.
*He was fair in working with us to rent the RV for an extended duration.
*He met with us multiple times to ensure that RV would work for us and answered my hundreds of questions.
*He went the extra mile to ensure that the RV was ready on-time and that the vehicle was mechanically ready to be driven for such a long-period of time. He completely understood that this was a family vacation and wanted to make sure we had no problems along the way.
*He puts safety and common sense first over making a few extra bucks for his company.

You would be foolish to look anywhere else if you are looking to rent an RV in the Bay Area.

Orchard City RV is the place to rent when needing an RV, Quads, Can-Am's or anything for outdoor fun! We rented from them after selling our 5th wheel toy hauler. We planned a Pismo trip and needed an RV trailer, decided to try out a can-am and rented a couple quads to go with the quads we already had and our Sand car. Matt is who we worked with in renting all of these items. He was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable about everything we were interested in renting. Our trip to Pismo was an enjoyable time and we are extremely grateful to Orchard City RV for their services and plan on using them every time!!

I have to resonate what everyone else has said about Orchard City RV. Interestingly enough, i never really had a chance to pick up the jetski i had reserved because it had some last minute motor problems, but i have to admit that the communication, solution oriented approach, and flexibility of Orchard City RV has secured my business for the future. I want to specifically say thank you to Sean for the communication and customer service oriented approach. Well done guys. Keep up the good work!

I was super stoked on the Seadoo jet skis my buddies and I rented for a weekend. They were fast and loads of fun. Unfortunately, we were charged an arm and a leg for pretty insignificant cosmetic damage by docking the skis to a small boat dock. The area of the ski is designed to rub up against a docking area. They should have thrown in some bumpers if they didn't want any scratches. I think that by renting equipment, they understand that people use them, damage them slightly, and then they can charge extra for that. Be extra careful when using this companies equipment.

Orchard City RV has been nothing but an easy and fun experience.I have rented Razors, quads, RV camper trailers, boats and jet skis in the last 5 years or so. No complaints, they're affordable..reliable with the toys and extremely clean(including rvs) the owner is very go with the flow and doesn't make renting stressful, he understands spontaneous trips comes up and always finds a way to make it happen for you. He is very detailed and knowledgeable with all the toys to make sure you feel comfortable renting. My family and I took 2 jet skis out these past couple days and it was awesome, first lake experience out after covid and I'm so thankful he was open for business to make that happen for us! Orchard City is a great company to rent things from and I highly recommend him to everyone. If you're looking for a good time..this is your place
