I just moved in a month ago, started a new job, boxes and trash everywhere. Nasty , unorganized, I forgot she was coming so I didn't prep cleaning linens. She got here, I was working from home. And he cleaned up everything. Was on time. Didn't speak good English - but I speak enough Spanish

My Domestic Partner and I have lived in NYC for almost ten years and have worked with MANY Cleaners. While it is still early in our relationship with Orchid House Cleaning, we have been extremely pleased by Sandra and Sindy's detail-oriented apartment cleanings.

We have a large apartment and many specific cleaning asks and processes, all of which I could communicate easily to Sandra and did not need to remind her of time and time again, as with other cleaners. She is a true professional, even taking care to wear booties around the house as she cleans and informs us when we have run out of supplies. As both busy professionals, my Partner and I find the quality of the cleaning is well worth the reasonable cost.

Yuliana is also a pleasure to work with. Based on other Yelp reviews, I insisted on Sandra and another specific cleaner, and Yuliana was able to move things around to make sure we had Sandra each time. In a business where reliability and service are critical, Orchid House Cleaning truly shines as much as our gas cooking range did after Sandra's cleaning!

TL;DR - NOT FOR DEEP CLEANING.

5 stars for housekeeping - Great for housekeeping! Covered lots of ground, helpful and nice cleaners.

3 stars for deep clean - Can't recommend as deep cleaners unfortunately. If you're looking for someone to scrub corners, as when you move in, this is not the place. It didn't justify the $400 price tag. ($300+$100 in tips)

Prompt, professional, thoughtful. Helped us effortlessly with a tough clean up job. Pricing was also very reasonable.

Orchid cleaning is a nice company and Yuliana really went out of her way once I found someone for me to clean my apartment.

Orchid house cleaning is amazing! They've helped clean our 2bed apt over the past few years, every other week, and they always do such a wonderful job! I look forward to that clean apt every other Friday, and am so thankful for them!!

I wanted to provide an update on this business. The quality of the cleaning is highly dependent upon the cleaner who shows up that day. While generally good, I've had a couple of experiences that warrants a change to my rating. One instance where a cleaner destroyed and then threw out a couple of things of mine without letting me know, including something very precious to me. OHC offered a small discount and mentioned she wouldn't be assigned to me again. A couple of months later I had another cleaner come by who missed things. I discovered she had lodged my Dyson vacuum back in an obviously awkward position back into the wall charger. I had to unscrew and reinstall the entire thing back just to get it down again. While the cleaners do ask to see if everything is ok before they leave, I'm just tired of having to look through every nook and cranny. I'd rather just find a new cleaner who consistently can do a good job. When I cancelled my future service, no questions were asked on why. So I guess there's no love lost!

Don't recommend. I prepaid for a cleaning, they weren't able to come as scheduled and offered me a slot several days later. If they couldn't come as scheduled, why did they charge me? Bad business practice.

And I was a fool for paying in advance.

I scheduled a deep clean of our house and it was just an okay surface clean. Still helpful in saving us some time, but easily could have done the same job ourselves (and still had to clean missed areas in all the rooms afterward) which kind of defeats the purpose - especially as there were spots left visibly dirty in every room.

As far as we could tell they used our sponges and dish soap rather than bringing any cleaning materials, which was surprising given they only asked if we had a vacuum to use ahead of time and the website indicates they supply everything else.

There was some mix up in the scheduling and I do appreciate that they adjusted to accommodate. Two cleaners arrived thinking it was a much smaller job - I'm not sure if the mix up happened on Orchid's end or because the outreach to them was through Yelp's contact more vendors feature. However, even for a smaller job I would have expected more completeness.

I'm glad I booked since it was helpful anyway and an affordable price, but I wouldn't book again based on the quality of the cleaning.

We had a great experience working with Orchid House Cleaning!! The response with a quote came within minutes, scheduling was easy & very well-communicated and the cleaning service was of great quality. I highly recommend them and would use their service again!
