Another perfectly yummy lunch at Oros Thai. It was wonderful to be greeted by Saharat, We were seated in our favorite
seat. Saharat is so kind, efficient, and helpful with our ordering(Saharat is amazingly efficient - waiting on tables, filling waters , etc.) Thai Tea and "ever so good" soup began our meal. The crispy veggie Thai rolls and Oros fresh spring rolls with tofu are the BEST. Crispy Thai shrimp rolls, ground chicken larb salad(medium spice), panang curry with chicken(medium spice) and brown rice are so good. The rest of the staff is so friendly serving the food. Our favorite place to eat when we come to San Jose.

Our love and hello to Kit!

Service wasn't great the person with the short blondeish hair was weirdly rude... even though we extra nice when requesting for stuff.

      Pad Thai: just alright

Yellow curry: 9/10 a tiny bit salty would recommend rice.

Beef fried rice: pretty good 8/10

Beef with green beans: wasn't the best beef has a weird texture

I've been coming to this place for a while now, even before Covid. The food has always been great and the service is quick. I've usually gotten the pad kee mao (Thai spicy) and the coconut soup with chicken. I will say, the noodles if ordered for takeout are usually oily so I have to request less oil. The spice level though I get Thai hot always fluctuates so I'd recommend getting spicy if you like it spicy and adding your level of spice after.

If you dine in, it's incredibly clean and inviting. There's a little bar you can sit at too

My friends and I came here on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. The hostess sat us immediately and brought out waters. We ended up ordering the pla rad prik (crispy pompano with a sweet and sour chili sauce), pad see ew with chicken, crab fried rice, Jan pad phoo, and the yellow curry with chicken. We got everything medium spicy, which ended up not being too spicy at all- tasted more like mild.

Everything we got was pretty solid! The fish wasn't as crispy as we would have liked and it was a bit on the sweeter side if you enjoy sweeter tastes. The pad see ew noodle texture was bouncy. The Jan pad phoo and crab fried rice were okay, but they did give us quite a bit of crab meat on both dishes which was nice. The yellow curry tasted standard. I'd say the menu prices are a bit pricy, but they serve pretty large portions.

Overall, I'd say Oros Thai serves pretty standard Thai food. Everything was pretty good, but not mind blowing. Our server was very attentive in checking in with us and refilling waters. I'd recommend Oros if you're already in the area and craving some Thai!

      1 check-in

Lunch special is around $17-$19. Your meal comes with a cup of clear broth soup which was good. Value you get is fair. I really liked their pad see ew. Thai fried rice was bland and needed condiments. Thai tea was good, better than average I'd say. Service was quick.

      Meal: Dinner Delivery
      Ordered: via Grubhub
      Time Ordered: around 5pm
Time Arrived: about an hour later
      Neighborhood Delivered: Evergreen

      13. Papaya Salad ($15.95): Salty crab, thai hot, no peanuts
      55. Green Curry ($18.95): Chicken (+$1), thai hot
      *Brown Rice: Per Person ($3.50)

The bro in law was ordering Thai for dinner and asked if I wanted anything. I hadn't eaten all day, so of course I said yes! Looking at their menu online, I got the three items above.

I adore papaya salad with salted crab, extra spicy. The spicy, fishy, salty, sweet flavors all mesh together and do a happy dance in my mouth. Idk if they prepared this lao style, but it didn't have that typical sweetness I find in most thai style papaya salads. But I actually love papaya salad lao style, so this was up my alley. I could have used more heat tho. The green curry serving was huge. Flavor wise, this had some spice, but I could have had it even spicier. I did find it odd the green curry didn't have eggplant or something similar. It was just bell peppers, bamboo, and chicken. Otherwise it was fine.

Overall, I enjoyed the food here. Especially the next day since the flavors got more intense. Thai hot isn't that spicy, but nothing adding some sambal can't fix.

We're absolute food enthusiasts, always on the hunt for the Bay Area's most delectable delights! Weekend brunches, happy hours, and discovering new flavors are our absolute passion. While some dining experiences might be forgettable, it's the soulful food and warm hospitality that truly resonate with us.

Last night's dinner at Oros Thai restaurant was a resounding success! We savored every bite of our ordered dishes: the spicy and sour chicken tom yum soup, the tender and flavorful chicken satay, the crispy shrimp rolls with an extra eggy twist, the rich and creamy chicken panang curry, and the crispy catfish that simply melted in our mouths. Each dish was a masterclass in flavor and texture, with tender, juicy chicken that stole the show.

But what truly made our experience special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The community vibe was cozy and inviting, making us feel like we were part of a special gathering. And our server, Vimala (V), was an absolute rockstar! She single-handedly managed the floor with grace, warmth, and a clear passion for food and people. Her love for her work was palpable, making our night truly unforgettable.

We're already planning our next visit to Oros Thai, eager to explore more of the menu and experience the warm hospitality once again. If you're a fellow foodie looking for a truly special dining experience, look no further than Oros Thai!

Great food, clean restaurant and amazing service! I found this restaurant through yelp as I was unfamiliar with the food in this area, and I wasn't disappointed!
I was able to try the tom yum veggie soup mild, crispy shrimp rolls, pad kee mao medium, and yellow curry medium. Everything was so delicious and had very big portions, so I recommend sharing family style. I was warned about the spice levels being spicy, but if I could redo my order again I would probably go up a notch and go hotter than medium! Something also good to note is that none of the curries come with a side of rice which is a bit of a bummer, so you'll have to pay per bowl!
