Outer Sunset Farmers Market & Mercantile

Fun on a beautiful or even not so beautiful day. Lots of fresh organic produce. Looks like it was just picked. Peaches, plums, cherries and strawberries were delicious. Roasted chicken, tandoori naan, vegetable samosas, stuffed spinach roti and cilantro chutney are items we would purchase again. Sushi grade fish looks wonderful and is reasonably priced.

I love the chill weekends where you just hang out with no plans. Except the farmers market, ofc.

The Outer Sunset Farmers Market is SO cute. Live music, food vendors, small businesses, a parking lot.... They got it! It is gorgeous on a sunny day and is a guarantee to boost serotonin levels.

I specifically wanted to come to this market for Mahal Scent. I love their Filipino inspired candles! They burn well and make your whole house smell amazing. I was suggested to burn two different candles in different rooms to have a fusion of smells, which I never thought of but was convinced to do so. Brilliant!

Boyf picked up different flowers to hand make a bouquet for me from Medrano's Flowers. Also picked up a shower eucalyptus. I'm spoiled.

Sunday Farmers' Market. This one is located at the Outer Sunset 37th Ave between Ortega and Quintata.

Lively with arts, crafts and music. Besides veggies and usual farmers' market fare, they also have lots of food vendors. Delicious, entertaining and fun.

Year round, every Sunday, from 9 am - 2 pm.

Great farmers market with lots of local produce and food ready to eat. One of the stands had samples of their fruits and we walked away with giant apple pears and pluots. We did a mix and match berry combo at another stand and picked up various eats throughout the market. We were visiting on vacation and staying at an Airbnb nearby so this was walking distance. They had lots of interactive things for children and play areas. I really enjoyed the mahal scents candle stand !

What? They have midnite bagel which was written up as top bagel in US. Too bad i had breakfast would have gotten their black sesame bread. There were at least 3 bread vendors. Quite a place to grab something to eat. They expanded to two long blocks, veggies and fruits, kids play are outdoor games and bubbles, and arts, and had a freebie.

One of the most complete farmer's markets out there.

I had a great time checking out the Outer Sunset Farmers Market, there was a great mix of produce, fresh food, and mercantile merchants.
During my visit it was nice to also sit for a moment and enjoy some music, plus there is a play space for the kids.
As for parking a spot was found on the block North of the market, and with a cool light breeze it was very comfortable to wander about to check out the merchants.

Outer Sunset/Mercantile Farmers Market in San Francisco is a hidden gem. The vibrant atmosphere, fresh produce, diverse food vendors, and sustainability focus make it a must-visit. Parking can be a bit challenging, but it's worth it. Don't miss this local treasure!

I love this farmers market!! Love all the food vendors and farmers with their fresh produce; I so appreciate them coming to my neighborhood instead of me having to trek all over town to get delicious things!

My absolutely favorite place to get real food is Smokin' D's Texas Style BBQ. Their bbq brisket is so tender and delicious! The briskey sammich is always my go-to for an immediate lunch, but I like to get a hunk of the brisket to take home, too. The s'mac n cheese is rich and mouthwatering and complements the brisket perfectly. And don't forget to get some of the pickled onions and pickles to go along with everything; a hunk of jalapeno cornbread wouldn't hurt either!! If you're a rib lover, theirs is fantastic, too!

For dessert, Baby & Boy has some fabulous baked goods. I had the mango & cashew blondie bar today and it totally satisfies the sweet tooth. There are so many things from which to choose, but they're very patient with those of us who are slow deciders!! You can always choose more than one item!

The line for mochi donuts at the Vio booth was crazy long and their items looked yummy, but that'll have to wait for another weekend. I also stopped at the Ocean Malasada booth, but they were out of the flavors I wanted (it was close to noon already and they started selling at 9).

The produce at the market looks fresh and there are organic items available. Many of the stands offer the same items, so you can usually get what you need without having to wait long.

Great farmers market that runs two whole blocks. There's usually entertainment and lots of activities for kids. Wonderful outing for the family! The only reason why I knocked off one star is because I'm still leery of unmasked vendors and people around me; there were a good number of people who weren't wearing masks, even a couple of vendors. And there were a couple of vendors with incorrectly worn masks. FWIW, I might be the only one who's as cautious as I am, but Covid still frightens me!!

Good neighborhood farmer's market. Some good food carts. Some good artisanal food vendors. It's all pretty expensive, but good quality. I picked up some fancy bread, pasta sauce, cheese, hummus, and bagels. There's kid's games, live music, and tables to sit at. Lots of dogs on leash. You have a nice view of the ocean. I'll be back.
