Some of the best Japanese food I have had in a long time. We have been to most of the Japanese and sushi restaurants in the area. We are putting Ozone Sushi at the top of our list. For a real treat, you have to try the family dinner.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the service was slow, and we were ahead of the rush. They need a full time hostess who's only job is to meet and greet the customers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sophia Q.Concord, CA3742718Jul 27, 2024
Pleasant dining experience on a Friday night! Great food, great music (live DJ!) and great service. Wait time was minimal for seating (at 10pm lol) and our server was attentive.
Happy to have great sushi open late as well. Will definitely be coming back.
Forgot to take photos of the food - was too focused on eating!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 563221239Jun 30, 20246 check-ins
Quick dinner out with The Teen, we've been here plenty of times, but never have had such bad service on top of that she got sick when we got home!
They were definitely having an off night!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Jun 12, 20241 check-in
First time here last night and I was very impressed with the quality of the fish! Salmon sashimi was pretty close to that nice smooth buttery taste/texture of the salmon in Hawaii (not there but it was as close as I've gotten to it at a restaurant in the area)
The Chuck Norris and sweet surrender were really good too! In fact good enough for me to get another order of each. I forgot the name of the 3rd roll that I ordered but it was really good too. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients here!
Prices are pretty fair about the same as most other sushi restaurants in the area. Plentiful seating and polite waitstaff. Definitely coming back here if im craving sushi in concord!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1813258May 8, 2024
I hate sushi but Ozora really changed my mind.
My cousins brought me here to (forcibly) make me try sushi and the rolls are just so amazing it obviously worked (or else I wouldn't be here lol).
My go to rolls are:
I love you
Chuck Norris
dragon
red mango!!!!!! (My fav)
Sexy sexy
The rolls are so flavorful, the fish is so fresh and buttery, amazing ambiance, and the severs are so kind! The sauce is chefs kiss and just outstanding overall.
I live in Oakland and will drive every time to come eat here. I only eat sushi at Ozora.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Darren H.Pleasant Hill, CA315028Aug 24, 2024
I had lunch with a friend here last Friday. This is probably my 4th or fifth dining experience here. Service was great, the sushi was out of this world. The Toro and Saba or so good. It was the best Toro I have ever had. My friend had a bento box lunch and enjoyed it immensely. I also had a dragon roll which was fantastic. I highly recommend this location and I am a very picky person when it comes to sushi and sashimi. This is one of the best places in the Bay area

Been coming here for years and this place never disappoints! One of the best sushi spots in the east bay. They consistently deliver high quality, fresh seafood and the service is always great (quick and super friendly, especially when you dine in!). The atmosphere inside is great for both large and small parties.
Pro tip: this place is quite popular, and can get packed on weekends, so stop by during lunch or during weekdays if you can :)Helpful 3Thanks 3Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 26, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
This place is still my #1 for sushi even though service isn't as good as it used to be.
Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 21, 2023Previous reviewGreat food spot! The sushi is tasty. I personally like the Lion King Roll and Red Mango Roll. The lion king is a baked roll and is savory. The Red mango isn't baked, and the mango makes it sweet. The tempura appetizers are what you would expect, so nothing really to note there.
If you go during happy hour, I'd suggest getting the spicy ramen bowl.
The service is great. You're greeted by the people behind the bar when you first walk in. The waiting staff are also very nice.
The restaurant has a formal feel even though families with young children might be there. Everyone competes with for the parking that is right by the door. To save time, just park a little farther. - 1378154Sep 26, 2023
This was a perfect place my boyfriend and I stumbled upon while going grocery shopping! Everything we ordered was super yummy and exceeded our expectations. I thought the booth seating was super cute and would definitely go back maybe for a girls night and would look super cute for a little instagram moment.
The sake cocktails were super strong but everything else was perfect. If I could eat more I would have but although the portions look small we had so much food leftover. Our server was super kind and sweet. Will definitely keep this in my restaurant rotationHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Francisca C.San Mateo, CA498370Jun 8, 2024Updated review
This has been our favorite spot for over a year and a half. Today my husband found a piece of plastic in our sushi, and it cut the inside of his mouth. I showed it to the waitress. To my surprise they charged us for the roll. I didn't know I had to plead my case. We are there every week! I get it was the 3rd to the last piece but still. They ended up giving us 50% off the roll because they said we ate most of it. Horrible customer service. Perhaps I should complain to the agency that manages safety and food control. The service was lacking tonight too. No ester refills and I had to ask for everything.

The tempura sauce was also sweet wish I found a bit odd. The tempura was good but the veggies were cut to thick and not very enjoyable. We would come back it's a nice atmosphere. I did have to ask for tea a second time because the waitress forgot, and only one bathroom.

Going to Ozora becomes our regular dinning. Last night we tried their chirashi bowl where the disappointment was. The sashimi that we got look like some left over sashimi (maybe the tail of the filet)? All of them were different shapes, size, and there was a few random small pieces put together with different kind of fish. This was the worst chirashi bowl I ever had.
However service was still good and fast. But no more Chirashi bowl for me.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Sep 5, 2020Previous reviewWent last night and love their patio (parking lot) seatings. Weather was nice plus they have patio umbrella blocked part of the sunlight so it's very descent to sit outside and enjoy our sushi!
It's Friday night and we got there at around 6. No wait at all. All staffs are wearing masks and gloves.Jan 18, 2020Previous reviewFinally get a chance to try this sushi place in concord. It is located in the same shopping plaza as Trader Joe's. Parking is pretty easy.
We went on Friday night at around 7:30ish and there was no wait in line. Restaurant is big so it can accommodate large parties.
We ordered the crab cake as appetizer and it came in 4 huge pieces with spicy mayo and wasabi mayo sauce. We also have chuck Norris roll and Hanabi2 roll. Both are good portion and taste good. If you check in with a yelp, you will also get a free mochi dessert. Plenty of choice with menu if you like sushi and sashimi.
Friday and Saturday night they also have live DJ during happy hours from 9pm to midnight. By the time we left at 9:15, the restaurant was still full and people were still coming in.
