I needed a car and looked around at night, found one here. I usually don't go to independent used car dealer but Pacific had a really good review so I called in the morning and talked on the phone.

Sounded really chill so I drove here from San Mateo the day after. The car was exactly how it was described. Seemed like they take care of all the small details that were broken but also the person wasn't pressuring at all to me to buy the car. It was basically "here's the car, it's as what was described, just let me know if you have any questions".

Everyone was really friendly and this was really the first time I felt comfortable buying a car at a dealer without being pressured. I highly recommend it and in the future, I will definitely be checking in here when I'm going to look for another car for myself and my business. I walked in and bought a car in 15min. That's how much I felt comfortable. Great car buying experience!

Highly recommend Pacific Bay auto. These guys are great. Honest and trustworthy. Don't go anywhere else but here. Got My lincoln with them and was a great experience. Don't go to those sketchy places that don't treat you right.

Jason was the most helpful person I ever met in the car sales business.
First day I showed up, I asked for certain requirements, and it wasn't looking good.
We ended up leaving without a car, but held on to the car I was looking to purchase for me.
Later in the week, I get a call from Jason, telling me that he has an offer with everything I asked for!!!
I couldn't believe it, Jason went out of his way to accommodate my wishes!
Ended up going back over to the lot and leaving with the car!

We were in the market for a used and reliable car and we went to so many dealers. When we came to Pacific Bay Auto and met Julian, he was so genuine and helpful. What an amazing experience! The co-owners Julian and Jason are incredibly patient and transparent about their used vehicles. I came home with a beautiful 2012 Hyundai Sonata :) Bonus: Julian speaks Chinese (a win for me and my dad!)

LONGER DETAILED STORY:
My (very rushed) car search took place within a 3-day period.

On Day 1, I was frantically searching on Yelp for well-reviewed used car dealerships and taking note of their inventory that matched what I was looking for (make/model, year, price, mileage-wise). Through Pacific Bay Auto, I saw very positive Yelp reviews and as well as four vehicles (via the inventory) that matched my criteria and called them the next day to make an appointment. Julian answered the phone and remained very cordial as I listed through those four cars and he told me that he'd have them ready for me to test drive by [time of appt]. As a woman navigating the realm of cars, I really appreciate that he didn't exhibit a condescending attitude when I made such a request.

When we arrived at the lot on Day 2, he pleasantly guided us from car to car and didn't make us feel pressured or rushed in any way. He let us take our time test driving each car and gave us the Carfax information when we requested it. After a whole day of searching for cars, it was finally time to compare all the cars I've test driven for the day (including cars from other places). Overall, we found that Pacific Bay Auto's 2012 Hyundai Sonata was the best choice! We called them again (this time Jason picked up) to inform them of our decision and to make an appointment to finalize said decision the next day.

On Day 3, we went back to the car lot to look at any details we may have missed and we decided that this was the car for me. There were a few minor issues (lightbulb needed replacing, tire alignment, etc) and Jason reassured us that he would take care of everything and bring it to the mechanic ASAP - and by ASAP, I mean that he brought it in right after we left and called us a few hours later to tell us the car was ready for pickup. Jason guided my dad through the paperwork and was very cooperative and transparent in explaining what my dad was signing for each form. By that evening, I was handed an envelope of forms (a copy of everything my dad signed) and the keys. He also referred us to a locksmith in case we needed a duplicate key or wanted a different remote.

I'm absolutely ecstatic about my new car and will take great care of it. But when the time comes for me to find a new car 10-15 years from now, I'll be sure to give Julian and Jason another call.

I had great experience in buying a Subaru Forester 2010 from Pacific Bay Auto. Julian and staff was very honest and informed about the car. They cleared all of my doubts.

One month after purchasing car, Car had battery trouble. I called Pacific Bay Auto for any recommendation about replacing battery. They themselves replaced my battery free of charge. No charge for battery or labor. This was very positive experience for me.

Just wanted to let people know how pleased we've been with the Toyota RAV4 Limited we purchased from Pacific Bay Auto in August 2021. After a few minor wear & tear repairs (that they advised us would improve the vehicle, but weren't safety issues), the SUV has been a reliable vehicle for travel all over California in great and really nasty weather! We were able to track down all of the service history on the RAV4 back to the original date of sale (only one previous owner), so there's no mystery about service and maintenance.

These folks have an honest and straight forward business model.

He provided superior service in assisting me getting to the location from out of town on public transportation. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest! I am pleased to share that if I can give Pacific Bay auto more than five stars I would. So I give them 10! My journey for my first ever used car from a dealership started about nine months ago. I was in the market for a reliable vehicle and stumbled upon a 2009 Volvo S80 T6. After doing research on this vehicle I decided to reach out to Pacific Bay auto's. The customer service is beyond impeccable and the gentleman I dealt with by the name of Jason was more than helpful and patient but was also honest. I have two kids aged six and 1 1/2, at that time my baby boy was only a few months old. After great communication with Jason I decided to make my way to Fremont coming all the way from Richmond. I had no choice but to take public transportation out that way since I was not mobile. On the way over I hired a "private mechanic" to do a pre-inspection. I spent over $100 just for the so-called private mechanic to tell me that it would be an expensive choice to purchase the vehicle if there were issues because he was unable to tell if the check engine light or the battery was tampered with. For the record I would not do this again because now I have a bit of knowledge on cars and what to look for. Also if I knew this "mechanic" would give me an "it's up to you" answer I would've declined his services. But after conversating with Jason halfway through waiting at MacArthur BART to head to Fremont with my children and car seat, he reassured me that the vehicles they sell have been thoroughly inspected and would not be able to sell these cars unless they pass smog.

I finally arrive at the dealership and Jason allowed me to take the car for a test drive without any pressure. And just to be clear in my mind I was unsure if I was going to be approved to even purchase this vehicle due to my credit, Jason once again was confident in assuring me that I would be able to purchase if I chose to buy this vehicle. Which made me feel comfortable with my choice, as I took the car for a test drive there was no rush and he allowed me to take my two kids with me, after about 10 to 15 minutes of driving I was sure this was a car for me.

The process was fairly simple and easy, and Jason along with his colleague made me feel comfortable with the daunting task of dealing with a used dealership on my own. To you Jason I thank you for the kindness you have shown me because in this world that we live in where there are so many crooks and faulty business practices, you are a Gem. Not only are you the epitome of a Great Dealership, but also A Great man! I appreciate your honesty and your patience and I truly believe that more folks could learn from your character. I am proud to say that I bought my first vehicle from Pacific bay autos.

After about 9 months I've finally had the time to see how well the car is, Given it was a 2009 I was already prepared for certain repairs to be made. Just 3 months short of a year I've only had to replace motor mounts which I've done myself along with oil changes that I do almost every other month just for peace of mind.
