Excellent automotive repair. They are very nice and the head of the service department (Mir ??) makes every effort to be professional. You defiinitely don't feel like they are trying to cheat you...anything but. Isn't the closest garage to me, but I'll return there for sure in the future.

Scam! Beware! I called Pacific Heights Chevron asking if all my monitors are ready but I have a stored fault code. Check engine light is not on. Will my car pass smog. The guy on the phone said if there is a stored code I will fail smog test regardless if check engine light is on or off. Then I asked can the stored code clear itself. he said no. the stored code will never clear itself unless you get it fixed. Then I said I know how I got this code. Its P2102. And I got it just by stepping on the gas pedal while the key is at ON position but engine is not running. He said there is no way you can get this code just by touching gas pedal while car is not running. I said I swear the God. That's exactly how I got this code. So I don't need to repair it. Then he got angry and started lecturing me with a very loud voice. He said, "Hey! Don't call me and answer your own question!" I apologized. Then while I was trying to speak, he inturrupted me saying, "Let me talk! If you have a stored code, you need to have it repaired. Then the technician need to reprogram your car to clear the code." Then I asked, "OK. Let's say I repaired it myself. Will the code erase itself?" He said, "No! Only a technician can reprogram that code to make it disappear." Then I thanked him and hang up the phone.

Guess what? An hour later I called another test only station on 19th Ave. I asked them if my Corolla 2006 don't have a check engine light on but has a stored code. Will you pass me. He said I will pass you if you don't have check engine light on but only has stored code. but all monitors must be ready. I said yes all monitors are ready. Then he said we will pass you.

See the difference? The test only station won't lie to me because they can only test and cannot repair. But a repair station lied to me because they want to give me unnecessary repair. Stay away from this shop. their true color showed on a single phone conversation.

Pat, the owner, was gracious to serve me one half hour ahead of my appointment time. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. I will be returning for any future smog checks as needed.

I took my car here for a routine smog test. I initially called to make an appointment. The woman who took my call was extremely friendly and efficient. When I arrived, I was told it would take about 30 minutes, but it was more like less than 15.

There is a 20% off coupon on their website for their smog check, make sure you mention it when you go to pay. It saved me over $18. :)

I'm very pleased with the service I received.

As an added bonus, I filled up my gas tank while I was there using the Chevron app on my phone and got a discount on that as well.

Dan is the best mechanic I have ever worked with!

I had an issue that was making my car fail smog. It was so complicated that my previous mechanic of two years basically told me he couldnt do anything for me. I thought I was going to have to sell my 15 year old car for scrap. I went to three other mechanics who didnt even want to take on the issue until finally called this shop.

Dan was UNSTOPPABLE and worked super hard to figure out what exactly what was going wrong, kept me informed the whole time, and was super empathetic to my experience. Im so grateful and will definitely be back any time I need help with any car.

I needed a smog check and this station is in my neighborhood. The mechanical and clerical staff are amazing. They are efficient, informative and fun to talk to. I think the station is run by a husband and wife and their employees have been with them for a long time. During Covid, the couple never laid anyone off. They are a quality shop.

Plus, I downloaded the Chevron app and got a $1.00 discount per gallon at this station. Highly recommended!

Brought car in for smog check. It failed (quickly) due to fault codes detected by their diagnostic scanner. (The codes were related to a recent service on the car.) They still charged me the full amount, but explained that I needed to drive it more for the codes to clear, then to return.

I returned, failed to notify them that I had come previously. Repeat of first visit: I paid them another fee for the five minutes to determine the codes had not cleared... oh well, my bad for not telling them I was a returning customer.

Third visit: reminded them of previous two visits, stood by while we verified the codes had cleared. OK: on to the actual smog check. I reminded them that one of them had said I would "only be charged for the certificate" due to my two previous visits and payments.

The owner(?) vehemently denied that anyone would have offered to discount the charge (I.e. pay for the certificate only). He became unreasonably aggressive in his assertion. I took back my keys and left. I will never come to this business again.

Don't make the same mistake I made!

My experience was similar to many other customers

The staff member who answers the phone was incredibly rude.
The bill for a basic procedure was astonishingly overpriced.
Finally , the car leaked oil all over our garage when we got home bc they forgot to tighten the oil filter and drain plug. So we had to find another mechanic to fix it.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT come here.
