Palo Alto Vision Optometry

To preface this, I currently work at an ophthalmologist office. I am working with eyes everyday. I would like to say that Palo Alto Vision Optometry is one of the best eye care centers.

I first started coming here in 2021. I only came here to check out the glasses with Alan. Alan is amazing and so experienced. He was able to help my entire family with new glasses that fit well. They may seem expensive, but they are amazing quality and last so long. He really is able to get you something you like. In addition, he helped my parents actually get comfortable with their bifocal leneses. He takes precise measurements to make sure of this. Before, my parents would always have to take off their glasses to read, even with bifocals. Now, they feel like they actually work.

I was then seen by Dr. Michael Le. He is a professional and patient doctor. He is very nice and precise. I trusted him completely and my new prescription was great. He will be honest and let you know whether he feels you need new lenses, or if your prescription hasn't changed enough.

Because Dr. Le had a long wait, I decided to try seeing Dr. Vincent Nguyen. I really liked Dr. Le, but wanted to see a doctor faster because I was only in town for a little bit. Dr. Nguyen may be young, but he is careful, kind and patient. He was actually able to find a hole very far out in the periphery that ended up needing treatment. I am impressed and trust him a lot.

As someone who works with the back of the eye, the fact that they give complimentary pictures of the eye is so important and a great perk.

Lastly, the staff is amazing. The front desk is always nice and patient. They are helpful and one of the best front desk employees I have met at a medical office.

I had a wonderful experience with DR. Nguyen and staff.

I had an incredibly scary experience with my left eye that led me here. It was interesting to find out during the appointment that he was actually more concerned with my right eye. Ended up having Retinopexy on both eyes the next day.

If it wasn't for his referral it would have been put off longer because Kaiser was trying to schedule me with the ophthalmologist until I found someone to accept the referral at which point they scheduled me same day with retinal specialist instead.

I was so relieved I was able to get in on short notice.

I felt very comfortable the entire time.

I feel they really stay up-to-date with the latest things in eyeglass wear.

Very thankful for the referral I could give to Kaiser, so I could get in to see a retinal specialist as soon as possible.

I have the platinum 90 hmo plan, and while it does not cover things like eyeglasses, contacts or related exams, it does cover things related to eye health.

There is street parking, but I was able to find a spot right out front, and if I'm not mistaken it was 2 hour parking.

I sadly lost a screw for a pair of my glasses on a recent trip to Japan. It's one of my pair of Ørgreen glasses that Allen had picked out for me at Palo Alto Optometry. I wrote Palo Alto Optometry after I returned state-side, received a response the next morning indicating that they'll be able to help and promptly set up an appointment for the next day.

On our last visit to Palo Alto Vision Optometry, we had heard from Alan that he was going to start working somewhere else, so imagine my pleasant surprise when I saw him at the office! He quickly got to work on my glasses and put on a new screw so I'm able to wear them again. But that's not the end of it, Alan had noticed that a little paint was coming off the glasses, and pointed it out (I would never have seen it myself!). I shared it might have been due to the snug case I put the glasses in, and he found me another case that's a better fit for the glasses. All of this was complimentary, all just because I had purchased these glasses from them.

That really is just one small example of the attention to detail and care that you get from Alan. He is not only our go-to for picking out the best style of glasses for us, with attention to detail, and expertise in keeping up with the latest technologies in eyewear, we also always just really enjoy his warmth, friendliness, and passion for what he does.

Dr. Michael Le and Alan make an amazing team! (And I would've written about Alan in my last review, but I was under the impression he was going to be no longer there.) Together, they make Palo Alto Vision Optometry the best place for optometry and eyewear in my books!

Worthy of 6 stars if possible. Dr Vincent Nguyen demonstrated exemplary care, empathy and service during a recent emergency situation. He expertly and calmly identified the issue, explained the urgency; and, he quickly referred us to specialists who were able to administer treatment the same week. Dr Nyguen and the PA Vision team are top-notch!

Dr. Le is the kindest, most honest and knowledgeable optometrist I've had, and each and every staff member in this office is amazing! I went in for an eye check-up last week and it was extremely efficient. Happy to know my eyes haven't worsened from staring at my computer/phone screen!

Dr. Le is caring and really take his time to understand patient's thoughts and feelings.

Palo Alto Vision Optometry is the only place I visit for my eye exams and for my eyeglasses. Dr Chin is the best optometrist who always prescribed me with an accurate set of lenses to handle my eyesight problems. This store has a lot of elegant eye glasses frames to chose from. Everyone working there is always so helpful, courteous and kind.
Alan, the technician who helps to provide frames and lenses is the best in the field. He is very professional and thorough. He has deep understanding about how the eye glasses frames are manufactured, how to chose a right pair of glasses to compliment your look and how to mark lenses so that you can see your objects very comfortably.
I am very lucky to find this place for my needs. I strongly recommend PALO Alto Vision Optometry to my friends and my family members.

My experience here was fantastic!

Alan was my optician and he was amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about the brands he sells and the material they are made of. We probably spent an hour fitting me for a pair of glasses. I moved out of my typical style comfort zone thanks to his suggestions and it felt great! I felt like a VIP here and I will be returning without a doubt!

We just had our first visit to this office & they are Amazing!! What kind & helpful staff!! Dr. Le was caring, patient, & funny!! They're super thorough, and the Optometrist found us perfect frames & showed us what to look for when choosing style, shape, & features.
We even purchased Enchroma glasses for my 10 year old Son!! He tried on the different types & the 3rd ones worked! He saw vivid colors!!
All around Great experience, would Definitely recommend!!
