      My husband and I are new owners of a Carraro tractor, due in large part to the tremendous experience we had with Don Juvet.

      From our very first encounter with Don, we were blown away by the level of service he showered upon us. Don went out of his way to be helpful and informative. He took the time to learn all he could about our needs; he wanted to be sure that Carraro was the best match for us. He then went to the trouble of arranging a demonstration of the machine on the hills of a local winery, to prove to us it could handle steep terrain like ours.

      When Don made the 5+ hour trip to our farm to deliver the tractor, he gave us hands-on training, remaining with us until we were 100% comfortable with its use. As a result, operating it has been a breeze. Since our purchase, he's always available to answer a question or troubleshoot an issue.

      Overall, this has been a very positive experience for us, one that we have raving about to others in our farming community. Papé and Carraro are lucky to have Don representing their brand.

      I've purchased a variety of smaller items here. Chainsaws and power equipment misc stuff. They're a Stihl dealer. Also interacted with the Deere side of the house. I am always impressed with the relaxed, personable customer service, in the parts and sales. Sometimes people complain that Deere dealers won't give you the time of day unless you have lots of equipment. That is not the case here. They seem to cater to customers of any size. Haven't dealt with the service shop yet, but I'm sure that will come. I just wish it was open on the weekends for more hours, but that's alright.

      I had known Don Juvet from when he worked for another John Deere dealer. His philosophy always was he wanted to "earn my business". I  had priced several different tractors but I could never decide on what I wanted.  When I found he was now with Pape Machinery I again contacted him to finally purchase a new 1025R. Don found the tractor I wanted with the price I had hoped. He never pressured me into buying, was an excellent resource on the John Deers tractors and implements. and always returned my emails and calls. Don delivered personally delivered to my house when promised.  He spent the time needed to go over the basics of the tractor and would not leave until he was satisfied I demonstated an ability to operate the tractor safely.
      Don definitely "earned my business".

      Had a great experience with this Shop... Justin O. facilitated my request and forwarded it on to the parts department. They were able to find me a specific lid to an air filter cannister for an older John Deere mower. To my surprise, they had the part in stock and all I needed to do was stop by and pick it up...Prompt and friendly, mower was back to business in no time! Thanks.

      Denis, the Service Manager at VTT, and his repair shop crew, fixed our 16 yr old John Deere 125 riding lawn mower and had it running like new again. There's nothing like the feeling of restored farm equipment! Not only did Denis save us $2,000 by helping breathe new life into an older machine (instead of buying a replacement at full price), he went the extra mile to make sure we were completely satisfied with the repair. This is a prime example of knowing how to treat your customers and earn a client for life. Elk Grove ranch owners, take note, VTT is a legit outfit that you can trust to do a good job at a fair price!

      My John Deere mower quit in the middle of mowing. I called the local office of the new owners, Pape. I left a message to please call me back, as they were closed on Saturday. Also, I wrote a message to their online website with the same request. In the past there was always someone at the local office on weekends, and I would get the mower serviced yearly for the past 10 years. It's now two weeks later. No one ever called.

      I called John Deere aka Pape on June 13 to make an appointment to bring my compact tractor in to replace the fuel sender, check the hard start and drain/replace hydraulic fluid. I was told earliest opening was for July 18.
      Brought my tractor early that morning and gave the above repair list to the manager Sandy who said they'll check it out on Wednesday July 20th. On July 25th I received a call from Sandy that quoted of $2100 for the repairs. I questioned why so expensive where she replied $510 for parts..what??? I said $1600 for labor??? She said it was an estimate only. Told her just to replace the fuel sender that shouldn't take more than an hour and I canceled the other two items.
      On Aug 9th I called and asked if my tractor was ready. Sandy apologized saying that the shop was confused as to what needed to be repaired. So I asked if anything was ever done and she answered nothing has been done. I informed that I'll be picking up the tractor the following day Aug 10th which I did this morning.
      I don't know how this place stays in business. I've had my tractor serviced there in the past when it was John Deere shop and was very satisfied but now that it's owned by Pape, I would not recommend them to anyone thinking of having their equipment serviced or repaired.

      I highly recommend using Valley Truck & Tractor in Elk Grove, CA. My first time in I was treated with the highest customer service, and was very impressed. Denis, Service Manager, helped me solve an almost unsolvable problem with my John Deere lawn tractor. He went way out of his way to help, and is extremely knowledgeable. I am very happy to have found a place that has such great customer service, and reasonable pricing. I don't have to look any further. Joe G.
