Dr. Jas and her staff are great!
I highly recommend this dental office. I'm a relatively new patient, as I had a horrific experience with my previous dentist. Prior experiences led to me switching from an HMO plan to a PPO plan, and I was quite fortunate to come across Dr. Jas on the insurance directory and Yelp.
The 5 star reviews are very well-deserved. PFD is very transparent with their pricing and Dr. Jas is a wonderful dentist. She's very sweet and thorough and does a great job explaining procedures and dental hygiene practices. The front desk staff are also very polite and welcoming and are thorough with going over forms and invoices. They have a free parking lot behind their building that you can access through Pacific.
I had a cleaning appointment, as well as a crown preparation appointment, and I'll have my next appt within a week for my crown placement. My crown prep appointment took about 1.5 hrs this morning and Dr. Jas explained what she was doing throughout the procedure and was very gentle and knowledgeable.
Highly recommend!

I like that it's a small practice. It feels personable and local. My kids went to Alameda Pediatric Dentistry until they changed their insurance policy. It had all the frills and fun stuff but they didn't miss it one bit because the dentist and staff at Park Family are so kind and personable. My kids are 4 and 5 and they both did great! I also enjoyed my experience during my recent first visit. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a new dentist.

WHEN: Wednesday @9:30am

So it's been 6 months and I received a call from the dentist about it being time for another clean! They have safe and strict covid-19 guidelines where you have to wait and call them before you go Inside's lucky for me, I chose the first appointment of the day: 9:30am

Arriving I had to dig paperwork, and they check my temperature. The staff all wear masks and the dentists wears a both a mask and a face shield--that made me feel very safe!

I love that I was offered eye shields so I don't get anything splattered on me. My dentist was the same kind lady as before (I feel so bad I don't remember her name) and this time it was just her; no assistance.

I am super impressed! She spoke to me every step of the way. The entire time I really felt like she cared about me as she shared lots of information about the procedure. There's was a lot of great communication. For example, she would tell me to raise my hand if I needed her to stop. I felt she was taking her time, yet being super efficient, and gentle.

At the end of it, I get my goodie which includes a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss! I love it!

I had a wonderful experience with Park Family Dental. Dr. Kamboj is a magnificent dentist - she approaches dental care with equal parts technical dexterity and compassion. She genuinely cares about your teeth and will patiently explain treatment plan options, advocate behavioral changes as preventative measures and is keenly aware of insurance coverage that really helps you stretch your budget.

She is also very thoughtful and mindful of the details. For instance, she attaches an iPad to the overhead light arm you can watch Netflix during longer procedures! And she remembers things about your life history, which she deftly incorporates into her narrative about your teeth - their journey til today and where they are going :).

I also want to give a shout out to office manager Janet who is extremely well-organized and always has a quick answer to your billing questions. Thanks Janet for putting up with my dumb jokes!!

I am a bit overdue! Been seeing Dr. Kamboj for 3 years now and have had a great experience over all. I get reminders for cleanings, procedures/services are well explained and the bedside manner is soothing and professional. Janet is also amazing at reception. Highly recommend for new patients!

Living in the Bay Area for years, I've had a hard time trusting dentists for a while! When I had dentists in the city, I always thought they were overcharging me and recommending services and procedures that I didn't need.

I trust the team at Park Family Dental has my best interest in mind. They've worked with me as I switched jobs and changed insurance.

I've also always had trouble flossing, but recently Dr. Jas told me a story and gave some tips to make flossing part of my everyday habits - or else I will lose my beautiful smile! I want to do a better job to not let them down!

They always call, email, or text to make/confirm appointments, and that makes it really easy to work with them. I appreciate their dedication to my dental health! I recommend them to everyone. I live in Oakland and I don't mind coming to Alameda for them because I trust them - they're worth it!

I have been going to Dr. Lin since forever and I've never trusted another person with my teeth until I met Dr. Kamboj! Dr. Lin and his wife were fantastic and I was upset to hear he was retiring, but it's clear they spent a lot of time finding someone they genuinely felt would do well with their previous customers. Dr. Kamboj is a phenomenal dentist and I feel so comfortable with her!

She makes a point of telling you how to improve your oral hygiene which I really appreciate. Dr. Kamboj is extremely informative which definitely helps me with knowing how to improve my brushing and flossing habits. She also takes the time to show you where a cavity may be developing so you can work to prevent it. On top of this, she pays special attention to every tooth, and it never feels like she's in a rush to get rid of you.

I recently had some cavities filled and she had an iPad with Netflix on it (Dr. Kanoj is great for both kids and adults!).

I will definitely be back! The receptionist also makes booking an appointment very simple and quick.

Dr. Kamboj and her assistant are the best!! They are the reason why my teeth (and my husband teeth) are in good shape. Dr Kamboj is extremely kind, honest, patient, & gives you the best advice/recommendations. Dr. Kamboj is very gentle and makes sure you understand each procedure or process before she does anything. Also, Dr. Kamboj assistant, Janet does an amazing job by sending us reminders and making sure our cleaning is up to date & etc.

Overall, If you want someone who cares about you and provides excellent service, Dr. Kamboj is the place to be! We have referred a few others as well and they all love Dr. Kamboj!
