The 1-star is only b/c my car didn't get broken into (thankfully). Otherwise, I'd give them 0.

I was visiting from LA and drive my car up to SF. I had read about all the break ins and decided I would park in this lot, since it was relatively close to where I was staying. I pulled in Monday in the early evening, took my car out Fri late afternoon, and I was charged $248.

I'm from LA, so the concept of expensive parking isn't new to me. However, the signage here is totally misleading. The "daily maximum" has nothing to do a 24-hour period. It's only related to business hours. If you park overnight, you get charged an additional $28.

I called to clarify the charges and to suggest that they put up more clear signage. The nasty person answering the phone said that I was lucky I wasn't towed and said that I should've asked permission before "abandoning" my car. I had already e-mailed the company w/ no response, and there's no clear signage in the lot stating that cars parked more than 72 hours may be towed. Manager: "Each of my spots here makes $600, that's the way parking works." Uh, can you do math? Your website says that monthly parking is $250, and the maximum charge per unit time is $2 for 15 minutes. The theoretical maximum a single spot makes in a 24-hour period is $192.

I didn't ask for a refund, I simply suggested that maybe she should change the signage to make it more clear. Her response, "It's like a teacher. When you ask a teacher something and you don't get a response, then who's fault is it? I can send you the signage." Uh, actually, it's probably the teacher's fault, if it wasn't information that was given anywhere else.... And I'm reading your rates to you from your own website. Which is as much as I said to her before hanging up. Yikes.

I parked my car at 1635 Divisadero Ave. in San Francisco with parking concepts Inc. design read that they were open 5:30 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday I parked my car on Friday, December 31 at 6:24 AM to come out at 7 PM to find that the gates were locked no one was available to unlock the gate I called multiple numbers only to lead up to receiving a phone call on Saturday, January 1 from a very rude lady who actually hung up on me with no resolve I am visiting here in San Francisco I was working at a hospital but there was no parking available so I parked with parking concept to my dismay and a big mistake on my part of the car is still in the lot it is a rental I was due to fly back home on Saturday, January 1 I had to reschedule my flight for Monday, January 3 because now this parking garage is not open on weekends nor major holidays so this is a horrible horrible place to park and also the customer service rep who called me back just to yell at me and hang up on me was very rude I will never ever recommend this place! Just a way to make money. Totally disgusting and they DO NOT CARE. I don't know how people sleep at night knowing how much they rip people off. I would walk through hell before ever parking here again.

This garage charged me $10.00 to park for 23 minutes !!! I could stop writing this review right here and that statement of fact alone should speak for itself and tell you pretty much all you need to know before pulling through their gate.

However, to put that in context, you may ask "how do they get away with that?"
. . . Well the answer is quite simple, the owners of this garage have a virtual monopoly for parking for patients and visitors to the UCSF Hospital that is directly across of Divisadero. This is the only viable alternative for the Hospital's patients and visitors as there is no other parking garage in the vicinity, and for metered street parking it is virtually impossible to locate an available space.

So, they get away with it, because "they can"! However, just because they can, does not mean they should! The garage owners would obviously appear to be monopolists who have no conscience about taking advantage of the Hospital patients and visitors . . . and seem to care only about their wallets, and not what the patients, their families, and loved one's may be going through.

On the morning I parked here for 23 minutes, my stay was only for purposes of dropping off medical supplies for a patient. There was no metered street parking available, so I decided to pull into the garage because there was no realistic alternative. I was thinking it would probably cost me a few bucks . . . Sure, more than a meter for 20-30 minutes (if one had been available) . . . but I certainly wasn't expecting to be gouged for $10.00 for a 23 minute stay. Of course, once you pull through the gate you are 'stuck', because the garage is unattended and the only way out is to swipe a credit card.

The owners of this garage have set their pricing in a greedy, heartless, and monopolistic manner, in a way that takes advantage of the Hospital's patrons, many of whom may be going through extreme medical hardships. They should be ashamed of themselves.

      $10 for 23 minutes.

If you want to risk the payment kiosk machine eating your credit card and then, not being able to exit the garage and having your car held hostage until the office opens the next day, avoid this garage like the plague. The garage closes at 9 pm and we arrived back to the garage at 7:30 pm. Their machine does not accept metal credit cards, so rather than spit it back out, it pulls a nom nom nom and sucks your card into the underbelly of parking payment machines. My friends are from out of town 2 hours away and fortunately I live in the area. The very nice security guard Solomon ( he is a hero!) ended up finding a way for us to get our car out of jail. I don't know what we have done if Solomon had not been there.
Went to get the card back from the office there for my friend next day and they charged a $15 fee for getting the card out! Plus the parking fee. Sheesh...probably would have charged an overnight fee if we couldn't get our car out. Parker beware!

There was an attendant today who went above and beyond to help us. It honestly made our day and we were so touched by his kindness. I normally don't write reviews for things but it was that kind of interaction that reminds you of the kindness there is in the world.

We park in this garage for doctors appointments and have had other nice interactions before. One time a woman gave us a validation ticket for an extra 30 minutes out of the blue. When I asked what it was for, she said she could see I was having trouble with the kids and that sometimes as moms we just need some extra time where we don't have to worry about paying for the minutes we're struggling. It was another lovely moment / gesture that's stuck with me.

Those are the only 2 interactions I've had with people since we started parking there for appointments about a year and a half ago and so far they're batting a thousand.

They charged me $28. for a lost ticket and when I called the next day saying the hospital had found my ticket, could I bring it by, they refused any refunds. They claimed they didn't know how long I actually parked there. That's easy, my found ticket shows the entry time and the time they hit me with the lost ticket the departure. Hospital patients need to be warned and the hospital needs needs to warn its patients many of them disabled and elderly. Mt. Zion's own garage is at 2420 Sutter Street and is more ethical about lost tickets.

Never parking here again. $2 every 15 minutes or essentially $8 hour. But I spent 1 hour and 17 minutes here. And basically got charged for 2 hours as they don't break down the second or third hours into smaller increments. So $16 to park for my appointment and my copay is $35. I'm parking at meters next time or at UCSF next door that only has $6/hour (2420 Sutter).

This parking garage is my favorite in SF. The staff is nice, the spots are decently sized, and it's usually a hassle free experience. Would recommend.

So now they have ZipCars and City Car Share slots available, which is great when I need a car.

Unless you need a car and the keypad access is broken. On a holiday.

The 'After Hours' number for starters is a crock. Someone on the voicemail mumbles an almost inaudible number to call the *actual* After Hours number which - after reading about the ridiculous fees their garage charges - HAS A POTENTIAL FEE ATTACHED!

I get through to what sounds like someone in the throes of nodding out after their heroin fix who promises to call back after talking to their supervisor. And who don't because their supervisor is off at a cook-out or isn't answering their phone, or whatever.

So, after a suitable wait I call back to find, surprise surprise, their voicemail.

So, to recap. After Hours or Emergency service is a voicemail that tells you to call... another voicemail.

      Useless bunch of rip-off bastards.

I park here for appointments at Kaiser every couple of months. It is difficult to find parking on the street so I always pull in to this.garage. I like the convenience as it is right next to Kaiser and other medical facilities. The new automated machines have reduced the pay-line drastically.

      Overall...convenient and.reasonable.
