I had a superb experience with Matt (mechanic) and Eric (front desk) for some moderate work on my car.

Parkside Motors has this really pleasant old-school vibe, it has that sort of honest atmosphere of people working with their hands, which we don't get much of nowadays.

Wonderful service. Friendly, honest and genuinely helpful. We were on vacation from Ontario and wondered how much interruption our car troubles would be to our plans. But Parkside diagnosed the issue, consulted on options and got it done as quickly and reasonably as possible. Thankyou! This will be my stop if I ever run into car trouble in Victoria again.

Have been dealing with Gerry and his team for many years. They are very trustworthy. Saved me $500.00 by searching out parts at a lessor cost. Great work all round.

Being new in town I've had a hard time finding a mechanic I feel totally comfortable with. Having worked as a mechanic myself many years ago, I know my way around a vehicle, however I like to play a bit dumb when bringing my car in for servicing -it's a way for me to determine if my trust is misplaced.

I found out about Parkside Motors from an acquaintance, who told me both she and her dad think they're great. The fact her dad is a retired mechanic gave me confidence.

They explained what was involved in the repair, and gave me a ballpark (within $20) idea how much it was going to cost. The fact it's very close to my work made it even more attractive --convenience and a measure of trust go a long way in book with a mechanic.

Drop off was easy and painless. When I picked up my vehicle, they went thru an itemized list of the parts replaced and work done. They used high quality parts and in watching the guys at work, they take care and pay attention --fender covers used, clean bays, friendly staff. I'm sold and will return for my next tune up and brake job.

Stay away. Worst Customer service. Overcharged. Dont waste your time or money. Plenty of other top mechanics in town to chose from.

Parkside Motors recently did a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) for me. I am really glad I went to them for this. They went over the car with a fine-tooth comb and found two small problems. They took their time explaining the nature of the problems and estimating when they'd need to be fixed and about how much it would cost. Long story short, I bought the car and it has been running great - no surprises. I definitely plan on bringing my car back to them for service and if I ever buy a used car again, I will definitely bring it to them for a PPI. I'm new to town, so I feel like I have found a trustworthy mechanic, and this alone is well worth what I paid for the PPI ($100). Highly recommended!

I had another one of the local mechanics take a look at my car and give me a quote on my brake repairs, which came in at a little over $1000. I took my car to Parkside for a second opinion and they told me that only about $400 worth of the repairs were absolutely necessary and was able to save me over $600. I really appreciated it as my car is on its last legs and I'm not looking to pump more money into it than I have to! They also made it super easy for my working hours, as I was able to drop off and pick up my car after hours and pay via phone!

The front staff will say anything to get you & your poor car in the door. Slow, overbooked, and plain rude to my wife. Would be hard to think of a reason to go back.
