Pasadena Moving Company

Let me preface this that I called on a Monday for a move on Wednesday the same week. They were available and did the job. The movers were nice to work with, and I imagine if I had given them more notice for the move, my rating would be higher.

The main reasons for lowing my rating with this experience are as follows:

1. The truck was scheduled to come 8-9 AM, and we did get a call at around 8:15 saying they'd be there within the hour. They ended up getting there around 9:15, but there's a bit of a pass because there was a thunderstorm that morning.
2. I had given where the addresses of where I was moving my stuff on Monday, and I was told everything was set. On Wednesday, I was told by one of the movers that there was a double time charge for some of the move time since the move was over 10 miles away. Given the short notice that I gave for this job, I was not going to shop around. I would have appreciated hearing that information when I gave both addresses to move, especially since they put it in their system when I called.
3. After the move, I received no paperwork or receipt to verify what I paid. I chose to pay cash for the $10/hour discount. Because I didn't get any paperwork from the movers directly, I thought I would get something mailed. One month later, I called to check if anything would be sent, and to their credit, they were able to email it right after the call. However, I don't feel that's something I need to ask for.
4. During the call to get my receipt, I mentioned the surprise (to me) charge for the longer distance move, and it was explained that was not out of the ordinary. I just stated that I wish I had heard that during my first call or during the confirmation for the move. I received an apology, but it sounded a bit more exasperated than sincere.

The company has had a lot of great reviews, and I don't doubt them. The movers I had were diligent and courteous. Perhaps my mistake was only communicating over the phone and not getting confirmation through emails and writing. If anything, take this review not as a reason not to use them but as a guide of things to check/ask for just in case.

Can't say enough amazing things about this company. Luis and Jose are absolute UNITS when it comes to moving. They were fast, effecient, and careful with my stuff. On top of that, they were super nice and flexible to work with my multiple stops. Moved basically a whole house to a new place and storage in less than 4 hours. Best moves out there 100%

Luis, Jose and Nelson did an excellent job getting our prized possessions to our new home. Everything was taken with great care and attention to detail. Would highly recommend!

I have only great things to say about this company. We were very impressed with Agi and his crew, as they went above and beyond. They were very respectful, efficient, and placed everything where we wanted. The company also answered our questions and communicated with us very quickly. I would say that they have been the best moving company that we have used so far! We would use Pasadena Moving Company if we ever move again!
