Standing ovation for this French bakery chef Penny who left her heart in San Francisco and decided to establish her business out in Canada. Canada you are lucky!!!!

Last time I came out here I was so in love with their Belgian waffles that I decided to do some research and with the help of yelp to my surprise lays this hidden oasis full of Belgian waffles from sweet to savory!!!! ALL REASONABLE PRICES.

Day 1 - we had the chocolate coconut waffle, the dark chocolate and the apple cinnamon.

Day 2 - bought treats of mini Belgian waffles for my family and friends and decided to try their cinnamon roll and their rice pudding and Alan indulged in an orange waffle. We also got a baguette (fresh out of the oven) sandwich of pastrami with dressing of balsamic vinaigrette and a sandwich of linguica which was my favorite.

      Can't wait to go back!!!!

      Wow was I pleasantly surprised!

As Yelpers have stated in previous reviews - Pâtisserie Lebeau is truly a hidden gem!

I walked into a Belgium waffle house & was served by a nice Irish lady!

Talk about going international without the flight!

Continuing with my 'staycation' I'm hitting up spots that are off the beaten path.

PL delivers on fresh awesome tasting waffles.

I told the host what I liked & said to her - surprise me & voila, I ended up with the Brussels Waffle!

I noticed a dedicated 'older' clientele coming & going as I sat in the corner eating.

This location is surrounded by high end car shops - Mclaren, Lamborghini & such!

Very convenient as I had to have my Lambo Diablo serviced ... in my dreams!

      LOL!

Situated not far from Granville Island, after I ate I walked over & kept going.

What a relief weather wise - cool - after the brutal heat wave we experienced up here in the Pacific North West!

If you love waffles get down here ASAP!

Oh they have free syrup on the side but I bought the better maple syrup for $2.

While I might never get to Belgium, I'll always have ... Pâtisserie Lebeau!

More than just amazing waffles, this is one of the most delicious patisserie in Vancouver. Yes the waffles, savoury and sweet are to die for, but they also have great sandwiches, danish, mini pies and other options.

The wait staff is always cheerful and polite. This family owned and operated business pays close attention to every detail. Spotlessly clean and well managed.

Dine in at a handful of tables and bar type seating or take away and enjoy at one of the many close by beaches or parks. Stones throw from Granville island.

Coffee is consistently tasty and never disappoints. You will love this place!

My friend and I were checking out an artist's studio a block from here when, suddenly, we were both craving a coffee, and my friend was hungry for lunch. The particular strip is primarily made up of high end car dealerships; there aren't any cafes or restaurants on the street here. Except for this tiny resto/coffeeshop we stumbled upon, quite by accident. We could tell it was a popular place as there were folks going in and going out, talking to the folks behind the counter familiarly (it was clear, these were a lot of regular patrons). Always a good sign!

Inside, we were struck by the display case containing a ton of pastries and sandwiches and wraps. The selection was really large, and everything looked amazing. We decided to split a sandwich - some wonderful concoction of melted brie and pear, on toasted focaccia - and have some coffee drinks, too. Our meal and beverages were wonderful! Fresh and delicious. I also ordered a croissant to go. I had it later that night, and it was as good a croissant as one could get (and I'm from Montreal, and we know our croissants!).

What a little gem of a place! My friend and I are looking forward to returning.

My friend bought me two Belgium waffles from here so disclaimer that I got the waffles not fresh, about 8 hours after she bought them.

The matcha green chocolate waffle was okay, a little too sweet for my taste. However, the original waffle was quite good even not eating it fresh. I decided to spruce it up and melted Gouda cheese on it and topped it with fresh blueberries, a mouth watering combo.

Will need to come to try the waffles fresh one day to better judge if these Belgium waffles are better than the ones at Nero's Waffle Bar.

I came here to pick up some treats for a work client in Kits who happened to LOVE waffles, and was super happy to discover this spot! I called the day before, telling them my budget, and we worked out some different waffle combinations (both sweet and savory!). When I came to pick the order up the next morning, all of the staff were lovely and had the waffles prepped - fresh and ready to eat!

They have tons of different flavours, types and sizes of waffles to try from! I ended up getting some of their savoury Brussels waffles (the rectangular ones) as well as a bunch of their sweet mini liege waffles! Even though I didn't get a chance to try all of them personally, the white chocolate one I snacked on was delish, and I really liked the savoury spinach & feta one as well! Between the amazing service, tons of waffle varieties, and yummy flavour options - I'm a huge fan of this place! I'll definitely be going back to pick up more treats for my clients, as well as to try out their different flavours myself!

The first time that we found Patisserie Lebeau was all the way back in 2011 (back when we first started this food blog). We actually came across this place by accident back then - but I still remember how impressed we were with the waffles here (this was the place that turned me onto liege waffles and their little pearls of sugar).

It's been way too long since a revisit but we were stopping by a nearby bakery (The Cake & The Giraffe) and figured this would be a great time to pick up some lunch and treats... a tasty salami and provolone baguette, a savory ham & cheese-filled waffle, a fruit danish and chocolate fruit tart, as well as an orange & cranberry scone.

Can't really go wrong with the baked items here but make sure you try out some of their waffles.

Superb bakery with excellent staff and delicious (strong) coffee. I tried the lemon white chocolate waffle, which wasn't too sweet but was a touch softer than expected (I will be too, after eating it!) and also got a tuna croissant sandwich to takeaway for my guy, which looks scrumptious. There's a reason this place is so busy!

Always a go to when I'm working at the office the sandwich assortment never fails. The baguette sandwich's are all crazy delicious but if I had to pick one it would be the curry chicken. And what is a trip to there without treats?!? Obviously the waffles are the main star but today I tried a hazelnut cookie with raspberry jam filling that exceeded my expectations.
