Paul's Mobile Detailing

Paul is my hero. He is, by far, the best, most professional and generous car detailer I've ever done business with. I am a classic car collector and grew up working at a large new and used car dealership. Consequently, I have had considerable experience with dozens of others in his profession. Paul came out on New Year's Eve to assess entire interior and exterior of my 1956 Continental. On New Years Day he restored it all, including tires, chrome and the engine bay to showroom condition. He patiently shared many tricks of his trade that will enhance the appearance and increase the value of my vehicles. His prices are can't be beat and I couldn't recommend him more highly. Do your vehicle a favor, show it some love by calling Paul to restore it. You'll never regret it.

Business owners need to take lessons from Paul D. because Paul is not only a master of his own crafts when it comes to auto body repair/detailing, but he has also mastered the craft of customer relationship, customer focus, empathy, communications, etc. The list goes on. Let's dive into the meat of all these details and how I came to that conclusion in this long, drawn-out review/story.

I've been frantically searching for auto body repair on Yelp for my front bumper, and I've made multiple inquiries from a dozen auto body repair shops, most of which gave me simple quotes that weren't explained in steps or details, but rather a mere short, vague statement with a price range. Paul was the only one willing to reach out to me and explain what needed to be done and the price for each step. He offered a free consultation, which I wholeheartedly accepted. The following day, he made his way to my place at his own time and gas to get a closer look and see a clearer picture of what needed to be done before proceeding. I spoke with him for a while, and he immediately connected with me and understood my situation on why I decided not to go with my insurance for financial reasons. He empathized with me and wanted to give me the best deal possible while doing the utmost job on my repair, as promised. I took his offer, and we began a two-day journey where, under the guidance of his goodwill, he made sure I was happy by doing business with him. Thankfully, he delivered what was promised.

After I made my decision to bring the car to his shop, I was met with a warm welcome to his kingdom. He allowed me to venture with him into his shop to learn what he means in this business, what he does for a living, his hobbies, his livelihood--everything about Paul. He made me feel welcome not just as his customer but as a friend who could relate to each other in a meaningful way. Besides being there to sign over the contract for our agreement, I got to learn about Paul as a person, his livelihood, his business, his hobbies, and his profound love and father figure for his dogs. I had never spent this much time with a business owner whom I had only met and spoken to for 30 minutes, but I felt like I had known him all my life. This charismatic human being is literally one of the wonders of the world I've come to know.

Over the course of these two days, his communication with me was outstanding. I never expected Paul, of all people who own a prominent small-large auto body shop, to find the time to build such great rapport with me in such a short but very busy schedule of his. Constantly, he would call and text me pictures of work in progress, constantly making sure I was okay proceeding with the next step. He offered various degrees of options for me, without pressuring me, allowing me to choose what is best for me and for my car. He was willing to work with me on prices that were reasonable to an extent. Paul is still a businessman, but he is willing to make sacrifices and take a loss without jeopardizing the quality of his work. He delivered outstanding results that rival other auto body shops that cost twice or thrice as much for the same result. Ironically, when I first spoke to Paul, he wasn't at all fascinated with EVs (Electric Vehicles), as he is a traditional, old-school individual who favors vintage, beautiful internal combustion vehicles over glorified electric modern laptops with wheels. I knew that Paul had worked in his craft for over three decades, so it's no surprise he curated and devised a plan that met my price and expectations.

Originally, when we spoke during the initial consultation, I wanted this repair to be close to 90% of what it looked like prior to the damage, but he assured me he wanted to deliver close to 95%, which I scoffed and chuckled over the price I was being charged for. When it was finally time to pick up my car, I was met with a surprise; the result was not close to 95% but a perfect 100%. Whoa, what the... I stood there in awe, unexpectedly flabbergasted, with my jaw dropped for a mere minute when I came to pick up my car. Paul delivered the impossible for an impossible price. Now, don't take it the wrong way, saying I'm just a mere shill for his company. No, I wanted you guys to hear from me personally what I've been through over the past two days with this man. You can look back at my previous Yelp reviews, which are quite effortless and concise. I took the liberty to spend a lot of time writing about my experience after a 4-year hiatus to not only tell you how amazing this was for me but also to make you believe that you can trust in Paul when it comes to your car because if there is a god who can grant miracles in car detailing, restoration, and repair, that man is Paul D.

Paul's gotta be the nicest and most understanding mobile detailing dude in SF, gave me a courtesy call on the morning of my appointment and checked in on my afternoon appointment.

Unfortunately my schedule shifted this morning and I had to cancel on him last minute. Paul was gracious enough to understand my situation - even offered to help! What a guy - I will definitely give this guy another ring and setup a detail when I can!

Paul and his team did a great job not only detailing the car, but getting rid of spilled paint, stains on seats, exterior scratches and even a dent on the spoiler! What a major pain in the a$$ when your car becomes flooded from a leaking sunroof...but have no fear Paul is here....what a relief to have him on your side!!!

I saw Paul's mobile detailing at 7/11 . I was intrigued so I asked about pricing for an suv , instantly he gets red and aggressive saying something about me having a smart A.. comment. I was extremely taken back ,I commented I was only trying to get pricing .
Again with possible the worst customer service I've experienced, we do hourly pricing. And to look on yelp . So here I am . I will never give this company a dime of my $ and recommend you don't either.

I'm an executive chef ,not an auto detailer , I never asked about employment. I was curious about pricing, and you acted very unprofessional. But after reading your reviews it's very clear this type of behavior is typical. Glad we didn't do business. Also this was around 3pm , @ 7/11 you were trying to get free Reese peanut butter cups or complaining about the price.

I have purchased a 1998 Infiniti I30 from a tow yard, and the car was a complete mess. The exterior was very dusty and dirty, and the interior was almost entirely covered in mold. There was a puddle in the passenger seat (window was opened on a rainy day), and there was rat feces underneath the floor mats. When I took this vehicle to Paul, he was able to make an evaluation to determine the true interior damage on if the car was worth cleaning or not.

Luckily it was, and Paul was the right man for the task. He had no issue with taking on this task and did a hell of at it. He gave it a full enzyme treatment and disinfected the car, making it feel like new. In addition to the interior cleaning, Paul also power washed the exterior and cleaned underneath the hood of the vehicle. I am 100% satisfied with the job completed, and will be coming back for more in the future.

Paul has over 30 years of experience in car detailing and paint restorations. His specialties include removing molds from flooded car, paint scratches. Paul is very dedicated and proud of his works and customer satisfactions. His charge is on the expensive side, but he is very upfront about his price in advance so there will be no surprise at the end. He pays attention to details, and sometimes, annoying with paint scratches so he might fix them for free so the car will be shiny and free of any defects. He could also remove tree saps on the car easily with his special solvent. Highly recommended, and will be using him again.
