      TIME TO TREAT YOURSELF. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.... It was like a year ago when my friend highly recommended to try this place. Guess what... since the first time I come here every month to get 90 minutes body scrub and massage called "aroma" course. Every time I spend $120 for the service and $20-$30 on tips but it's totally worth it. Here are my excuses;

      1. Nice detailed service. All staffs including front hostess, massage therapist, cleaning lady are friendly and thoughtful.
      2. Well trained massage professionals. Every time I go I get massage from different lady but everyone is just well trained and very good. I've been to many massage places in the city but once in a while you get "not that good" one. Even though I come here often they never fail on me.
      3. Good amenities options available. If you get one of those service you get to access to their facilities including spa, salt sauna, steamed sauna etc... when you leave they also give you facial packs as gifts so you could stay moistured until you come back next time!!
      4. Everyone deserves to invest on your beauty and health. Am I wrong?

Pro tip: go there 2 hours earlier than appointment. Take a bath and sauna, take a nap and be ready for massage! Warming your body before massage helps maximize the benefits of massage too!!

      See you there!!

I took my daughter with me to Pearl and we both had the Scrub + Wrap + Massage Combo. It was the first time we've ever had the scrub or wrap and it was absolutely amazing.

From the moment we walked it we were greeted by two very kind and friendly aunties who guided is through the check-in process and then took us to the locker room and walked us through what to do and the facilities. We were a little uncomfortable first with the nudity, but after a while it was no big deal, since it is a women only facility.

The treatment was great. Did not realize how much the exfoliation would take off until I started feeling the skin fly everywhere. We walked out feeling the cleanest we ever will. My daughter's skin was glowing. We will be back for sure.

I still love this place but I have to be honest and say that they're not as nice as they used to be! The facilities are still awesome but the last few massages I've gotten haven't been great. The customer service by the new manager isn't great either. It seems like they've changed ownership partially?

After coming here so often, I don't feel as well treated as I used to.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon and what a fun experience! I didn't know what to expect when I came since I haven't gone to that many spas in SF, but super happy with my experience.

      Good:
      - Super nice staff, they explain everything and even told me how to do a cold plunge properly
      - The hot tub and sauna area are really clean, and they have a lot of amenities, like tea, and sanitized hair brushes
      - The massage I got was top tier and really was relaxing
      - They event gave me a nice face mask at the end

      Bad:
      - There are multiple floors with different stations so you have to climb a fair bit of stairs
      - Pricey but feels more worth than other places in SF.

Overall this place was a relaxing haven and I would come back!

You never really think your body could be as dirty as it is until you come in for a Korean scrub. And then you can be like me and be grossly fascinated by the rolls of black dead skin that is sloughed off by hand while you lay there naked and feel your eyes grow in shock. It's probably similar to watching videos of seeing blackheads get popped out. You can't help but watch until a whole 30 minutes go by and you realize you've just sat there wasting your time.

It had been a few years since I've had a Korean scrub and let me tell you-- it was time. Once you get in, they hand you a pair of rubber flip flops and a bracelet with key access for your locker. Inside you'll find a robe to wear for the duration of your time inside the spa. The ladies give you a mini tour if you've never been.

They have a whole area with showers, a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge on the bottom floor. Towels are available throughout so you can dry off anytime. On the second floor you'll find the salt room, clay room, and an area where you can just relax. They also have a dedicated dressing room stocked with all of your essentials you need to get ready. Hot tea + and purified water are provided for you to drink. Blowdryers are available for use for you along with hair ties in case you forget yours (I did).

It goes without saying here that you are stripping down to get fully naked for your scrub. So if you're uncomfortable at all being around other women who are, then maybe this isn't the place for you.

As for the scrub itself-- I wouldn't call it "pleasurable." You have one strong a** woman with some rough exfoliating mittens doing hard scrubbing on your body as you lay there. Another yelper said that it feels like your skin might come off. I would have to agree. While it does feel like this, trust the process. Your personal scrubber is doing her job to get all of the dead skin off-- along with all that buildup of lotion, oils and everything else that gets stuck on you.

And the fun part? When she has you turn on your side and you can see the black rolls of dead skin on the table that just came off of you. Yes ladies.. I think I can speak for everyone who gets this done that there's not just a little.. There's a LOT of it.

      A few tips:

*Come at least an hour before your treatment so that you can enjoy the facilities. Soak up in the jacuzzi, sit in the steam room, take a nap in the salt room or frolic like I did in the cold plunge.

*Bring all of your makeup and toiletries so you can use their dressing room to get ready to meet the real world before you exit. They have Aveda brand shampoo/ conditioner hair products there but I also saw several women bring their own.

I've been fortunate enough to have tried out Korean spas in Korea and LA and Pearl is definitely one of the top experiences I've had. The service is so friendly, the facilities are clean, the massage felt great, and the amenities are top end.

Booking did take a little bit of effort as I tried booking on the website but they didn't have my desired time so I called and they were able to fit me in.

I arrived about an hour before my appointment time so I would have plenty of time to get situated and use the hot tub and sauna/steam room before getting scrubbed down. After asking my preference for massage pressure, I was shown to the locker room and provided some instructions about the locker room and the facilities. The provided rubber slippers and robe are quite cute and girly.

Once I was changed, I went to the wet area. I appreciated that some of the showers by the hot tub have curtains for those who want a little privacy even though most of the women are in the nude. I went on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't terribly crowded but the facilities are on the smaller side so I imagine the hot tub and sauna could get crowded at other times.

At my appointment time, I was led to a smaller room that was set up for two people with a divider curtain in between. This was nice because most other places I've been to have just one large area with like tables for everyone. The lady doing the scrub and massage applied just the right pressure for me for both and would check in frequently to see how I was doing. I love me some deep tissue and this massage really got into all the tight and tense spots. I felt like a baby afterward with soft skin and relaxed muscles. I was directed to check out the Himalayan salt and clay rooms upstairs. I was a little confused that there were just shorts but no tops but ok. Tbh, I wasn't a fan of the burlap mats in the Himalayan salt room and the pebbles in the clay room but the heat was nice and relaxing.

Once done, I went downstairs to clean up and get ready for dinner. I love that they have Aveda skincare and hair care products although a few of the containers were on empty. There were several Dyson hair styling tools available and I wanted to try the air wrap on my hair. One of the ladies (the manager or owner?) saw me pick up the tools and ended up doing my hair for me.

I left feeling relaxed, pampered, and with great hair. Can't ask for anything more.

I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience at this Korean all women only spa.
      1) cleanliness is A++
2)provided locker, lock, towels, towel wrap, slides, and a robe
3)amenities are A++ the clay ball pit is AWESOME
4)the salt room has mats where you can lay on over salt chips which was AWESOME
5)the body scrub was good, the mitt felt more coarse than I have had at other spots but not terrible. The milk body rinse was really nice too.
6)I allowed my hair to be washed, which I never do. I have a blowout tomorrow so that is why I was willing. There is nothing like getting ones hair washed, especially when they have strong hands and fingers. I also allowed a face mask which I never do since I get facials regularly already and Im very sensitive. The milk body rinse on my face was cool.
      7) water offered throughout the spa
      8)pleasant smell throughout the spa
9)attentive staff that called us baby from beginning to end it was so nice to be cared for
      10)Price cant be beat.
11)Quality products to use post shower prior to leaving. Hot tea was offered, snacks as well. Brushes offered for use, as well as blow dryers.
      We will definitely be back!

My visit to Pearl Spa was absolutely lovely!!!

The facility is clean and well laid out and includes so many rooms, from hot and cold plunges, to a wet and dry sauna, to a room with a heated clay ball pit you can lay in! I had a great time passing through each of the rooms before and after my service appointment. If you ask the employees, they will suggest an order you can take the treatments in to be most effective.

I booked the body scrub and it was unlike any body scrub I've ever had! The best way to describe it is a wet massage lol. The ladies have exfoliating gloves on that take off all of your dead skin and make you feel so soft and glowy after! They applied a moisturizing treatment on my skin and finished by washing and conditioning my hair. I walked out feeling like a new person :)

If you are looking for a place to treat yourself in SF, this is a great option!

What an extraordinary experience! I loved coming to an all-women's spa filled with so many amenities and things to do. My friend and I went together to take advantage of the full 1 hour to experience the sauna, himalayan salt room, the room with clay beads, and more!

I often am nervous to use lockers at spas because I've been locked out of one before, but this place makes it simple by giving you a bracelet to "badge in" to the locker. Don't worry, the bracelet is waterproof, so safe to wear in the cold plunge/hot tub/sauna/etc.

Upon coming here, be sure to fully read the instructions posted everywhere. (They don't give you a tour, unfortunately. It's more of employees course-correcting you as you wander about.)

I brought a swimsuit just in case, but you will be asked to be nude while there, but you will have a robe provided. Others around you will be too, so don't be intimidated.

I do think a missed opportunity for effective signage is telling folks to wear the shorts folded on top of the cubbies upon entering the Himalayan salt room. They have a small note card on the cubby that's easy to miss--when they should affix that sign to the door. (It's only posted on the clay room door!)

However, the treatment was AWESOME! I did the full body scrub, had a massage, facial, and my hair washed all for $180 before tip. We did outline in our booking that both my friend and I have lash extensions on, but unfortunately for a lot of the body scrub--you have to be face down. I'm due for a fill anyway--so not a huge issue. The "medium" pressure massage was a bit more intense than I expected, I felt like I was getting crushed at some points--so I'll opt for light pressure next time.

Overall, I was genuinely relaxed and happy with this experience. I'm really self conscious about being nude around strangers, so that's something I'll need to get over before I return.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. This was my first time getting a service done at a Korean spa and my first time at Pearl--and I would 100% come back.

I got the Pearl Aveda Special (Seaweed Full Combo). Lee did an amazing job--she was so sweet, and she made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for the whole time. I can't recommend Lee and Pearl Spa enough!
